A nice little hidden gem. Not many traditional pubs left. Highly recommended

An old pub pub with one of the remaining antique fibreglass tree slides. I played on this as a child and it always makes me smile. Beers are a decent price and they do more snacks than most pubs nowadays. Pool table and darts in the tap room. A great place to visit on a summer evening.

Nice little pub off the track, was very welcoming, we sat out in the sun and it was so peaceful. Great place on our first visit so will be coming back

Great pub, great atmosphere too. So nice to sit in the garden, having a drink and horses might come in during the day. Over the road is a farm with lots of animals and Alpacas. So relaxing. Staff are great and friendly too. I have loved this pub since I was a child.

Well the real ale is superb, landlady is lovely and pub is very comfy what more could you ask for

One of life's hidden gems. Was made to feel so welcome by the bar staff and locals alike. I wish my local pub was like this.

A great night out with the family, and the grandchildren enjoyed the bonfire and the fireworks and they all demolished the mushy peas and mint sauce and the Budweiser went down a treat. Well done to the staff who have done a fantastic job and safety was paramount well done to all for another fantastic year on bonfire night thank you all from me and my family ....

Brilliant, tasty home cooked food at a decent price. We will definitely be back. The pub is dog friendly too.

10 out of 10 1 of the best nights out in ashfield staff are brill so are the rest make you feel so welcome and such a great laugh pool table needs relocating to a bigger spot though love this place

Chester the red dog and myself frequent this hostelry on a regular basis. Crackin staff and patrons,very good hosts in Dale and Claire.Good food too.Very dog friendly which is a must for myself.

Nice welcome by the Landlady, good beer, dogs welcome, unfortunately we were not on time for food as it started at three and we were there about one. Menu looked good though

Been going to this Pub since the 1960's, three of my school friends families have owned this pub so it's in my DNA. Yes you will be transported back to the 1950's, however not a bad thing near Hardwick Hall, Newstead Abby plus a fab caravan park at Teversal, and many other fantastic places including the city of Nottingham (18 Miles away). A bit of the old village of Skegby still in place with Fab Sunday Lunches, which have to be pre booked. Tourist's visiting from the USA would find this Pub amazing a bit of the old UK of days gone by.

Good pub very friendly good for kids dog walkers and walkers and bikers food is good but I have not tried it but all have said it's good .Landlord and Landlady spot on give it a go.
