After a few meals that the chips were terrible! It's back to how it used to be very pleased they have sorted the problem out

Being Gluten Free options are limited and when they do the Gluten free day it’s awesome the food is always 5star Really enjoyed todays meal as always

I came here with my friend yesterday and ordered the lunch specials which was really good pricing. Michaela who was our server was really polite and friendly. And got our food very quickly. Food was lovely and piping hot. Will definetely be returning again soon. Thankyou

The staff were snowed under with the amount of orders, but they were professional to a fault, polite and apologetic for being 5 minutes "late" with my order. NO NEED!! At the risk of making them busier, they are an excellent, excellent chippie X

Have to say I've updated my previous more negative review today as the haddock today was rather good, alas also pretty expensive but that seems par for the course these days, and a good size portion of chips. The Online order and pickup process worked seamlessly and efficiently so overall one satisfied customer.

Great chippy in the heart of Billingshurst. Working at a local school, we occasionally put in big orders via the online system. It always works a treat, with the food ready and waiting to pick up. The food is fresh, hot, and tasty too. Definitely one of the best fish & chip shops I've used.

Cooked to order fish and chips never works!. You have a shop full of heated glass warmers with a drip grill underneath so the fat can drop through and the fish batter crisps up. It needs to go back to that way of cooking! where you walk into the fast food place and walk out fast because you’ve had your food quickly! not cooked to order!, it leaves all sloppy and that’s when it’s cooked properly! which it never is here! it’s always undercooked! as it was for myself last night?. I will not go back to this fish and chip shop again.!

Waited far too long,covered in 3 tons of salt,no proper wooden forks to eat with ,no vinegar,25 notes wasted,chips.looked like warm ups. I have said what iam not happy with ,what Is a standard email reply going to achieve ,nothing, everybody who has complained are to reply to this standard email,forget it

Waiting ages for food fish had skin on and waste of money half a tub off salt on the food stay away 25 quid in the bin why should I email u and waste more time u would get zero 🌟 if i could everyone stay away from this place

Got home later than expected, didn’t feel like cooking so ordered online Scampi & Chips for supper, collected & enjoyed, very tasty thank you.

Food was great, and a nice size portion. We ordered online which was easy and efficient and chose a time slot we wanted. Only thing let it down very slightly was it was unorganised when we went to collect. There was people queuing all over the place and made it a wait to just collect the order due to no clear queues. Would definitely recommend them though.

Haddock and chips for £7.95 ordered for 5.15 and ready exactly on time. Fish was beautiful, I do like bigger chips but they can’t help the size of the potatoes they buy in. All round, very pleasing. What’s not to like at that price.

Freshly cooked, delicious hot chips. The advance booking service is brilliant, as you’re no longer having to wait. Definitely worth a try, but pre-order, as it’s very popular!

I have just enjoyed the most sensational Cod and chips I think I have ever had! I have few words, except to say that the food and the experience are second to none. Carl was so attentive, cooked my food beautifully and I so so enjoyed it. Many thanks to all at this superb chippy!! You guys are terrific!

Food was inedible. Chips were disgusting and felt like they have been left out for days. Batter on the fish was also disgusting and tasted awful. Used to go here a lot. Never going back

The food is usually excellent and we’re regular customers but our order today was disappointing. The chips were dry, hard and discoloured. Not very edible at all.

Always great, really tasty and not greasy, everything stays crispy even after a 15mins drive back...yes it is worth travelling for! Very popular so sometime a long wait even after ordering and seleting pickup time on app hence 4stars but the staff are great and there is a positive atmosphere despite being inundated with orders. The app is great also and you can collect points. Adequate parking.

Well how can I start. Honestly some of the best fish and chips I’ve had in my 18 short years on this planet, I have received truly incredible customer service from a worker named Elliot he took my order with outstanding manors and my big order came in less than 15 minutes. If I was to recommend any chip shop I would pick the master fryer at billingshurst West Sussex. 10/10 food, the family loved it

We ordered a large chips, large hake, 6 chicken nuggets and a chicken burger. Portions are very generous, and the food was yummy. Definitely value for money, would definitely recommend.

Really convenient to order ahead and just pick up on your way home (as we did). You can even do it online which is great for phone-phobes like me!! Food was hot and absolutely delicious, cannot fault it and the children's meals especially are excellent value. 100% recommend.

Food I couldn’t fault but the stuff seemed very rude

We tried the master fryer for the first time on Friday. We prebooked the order in advance. We ordered a chicken burger, large sausage, portion of chicken nuggets and large fries. We asked for the fries to be well done as I don't like half cooked anemic chips. When I arrived on time the order was ready and I was in and out in about 3 minutes. The shop was full. Thats always a good sign. The staff were all very busy and were polite. The service was very good. The food was very nice too. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the chips could of been cooked a bit more but they were still very good. Considering they were so busy this was a very minor point. We will definitely go here again. The prices were very reasonable as well. If your passi g or if your a local like us that hasn't been here before ibwould seriously recommend trying it.

Our ‘go to’ local chippy. Always freshly cooked and delicious. A free dessert today with a minimum spend and a great loyalty scheme.

A couple of large cods and a large portion of chips ready and waiting at 6pm as ordered online earlier in the day. Service to match good food quality.

An excellent family meal ordered online and available for collection on time, slight error with the order but the situation was dealt with perfectly. Particular mention for the battered sprouts, absolutely superb!

Portion sizes have greatly reduced but prices are now rediculous. Used to be able to get a generous portion of large chips which were nice, fresh, and hot. Now we get the smallest ‘large chips’ I’ve ever seen, and for over £4! Shocked and will not be returning. Gone are the days where you can get a good value fish and chip meal, yes the cost of living and inflation is an issue but it’s like they’re doing it to cash in. Sort it out.

My advice be to order online, if order in shop your likley to be there for sometime!! Worth the wait.friendly staff work well together. Bit pricey but what's not in these times. Not meny chipys get it anymore but get a nice peice of... Huss, Rock, Dogfish, Shark what ever you know it as!! Obviosly have a good suplyer as fish is quality and cooked well

Popped in at lunchtime, they took my money and said 10 mins, 40 minutes later I walked out. Appalling service. One girl trying to complete an order of at least 20 portions, 5 people in front of me none of which had been served when I left. The food I saw looked undercooked and the girl was unhygienic, passing coins through the open food warmer to the man frying. No gloves no hand washing. Glad I left, you can keep my money use it to hire some staff

Clean and friendly with order and collect

Have never felt so disregarded at a food venue. Arrived to make an order on Fri night. 4 staff on front of house serving, wrapping up etc. Wasn't even acknowledged for actualy coming into the shop, then was ignored for another 10 minutes, when approached counter to say like to place an order staff moved away, few minutes later comments on walk ins were made, so I left, and would certainly never consider going back to this venue. Doubt that this will be taken seriously, if you can ignore custom then clearly you have so much income coming in you don't want to take on anymore customers.

Very friendly staff and quick service.the chips were very nice but a bit bitty.apart from that I can recommend a visit .as you can see it's probably the longest chip in the world.as big as the sausage.

Feel it has gone really down hill! The last 3 times we have been in, the chips have been cold, old, oily and portions have gotten smaller. Have noticed that prices have gone up, which is crazy given the food is so poor!

When I got there to pick up my order at 7.15 tonight it wasn't ready. What I really liked was the staff got my order done really fast and apologised. To me that means alot. Good service as always and friendly polite staff.

Fish was seriously DELICIOUS - cooked to perfection - which makes me so happy. I asked for the chips to be left open so they could stay nice and crispy and they were so yummy - so thank you for that! :) The app works very easily so ordering is a doddle. Friendly staff and clean premises - our favourite chippy by far.

As non website order as in I ordered at the shop was kept waiting whilst on line orders made after mine were served first whilst my scampi was in hot shelf on getting home all the scampi was burnt black due to being on shelf for over 10 minutes which made it inedible as being rock-hard and tasting as it was 'burnt' Have emailed the shop with photos Guess what!! noreply

4th August 2023 Disgusted, 30 minute wait for a stone cold saveloy, large chips only served my partner luke warm been standing for a while ... good job I don't mind going hungry.. Curry sauce luke warm sausage in batter ok. Really not worth just over £11.00 shan't come again as time before my fish wasn't cooked through... No 3rd chances in this house 😩

We stayed in a nearby village and after a quick online search we decided on the master fryer in billinghurst we ordered the cod and chips (x2) the shop itself was clean and the people working were very presentable. We ordered and paid online and on arrival there was an electronic board with all the orders status. When ordering online we were given a time for pick up and the food was ready for pick up on time! The food was was great, nice cod fillets, crispy (not soggy) batter and clean oil fried chips 😊 would definitely recommend. Keep up the good work 👍🏼

I ordered my fish and chips on line. Simple. The meal was ready to collect a couple of minutes after arriving at the Master fryer. The chips were crunchy and the fish nicely cooked. Both my wife and I exclaimed how good the meal was. So happy to do a review. Top marks guys. 👍👍👍👍👍

Food is nearly always good, with good portions. Any time we’ve had a problem the team have reached out and tried to fix it or compensate. Thoroughly recommend the hake and chips deal. Good value for money and tastes good or better than cod.

Just moved to the area, this was the very first takeaway we tried. I really loved it, coming from slinfold we had a van locally and town delivered and it was not as good as this one! We are takeaway addicts so shall return and use the app this time, really like this idea and ease of ordering! We walked so parking is not an issue, if not probably just park behind sainsburys instead of fighting over the few spots outside. 😅
