Master Fryer surpassed themselves tonight - the fish (and chips) were so hot and crisp - best fish and chips around! So tasty!

We tried the new Coley £7.50 option and it was delicious. The fish was tasty and the batter light. The tartare sauce is a must for pickle fans. We ordered for collection and was on the way home within 5 mins of the collection time. All good!

First class fish & chips at a very competitive price. Placed our order via the app and collected food at the stated time. Food very tasty and piping hot.

Fish and chips are no longer a cheap meal so they need to be good and these are top notch. Crisp batter and chips and a decent portion. Just be mindful of the parking outside as the firm are predators.

Our first visit this evening and will be the last. Awful. Chips were dry as if they'd been kept warm for a very long time. Even my husband who will eat almost anything was not impressed. Fish was passable but worst chips ever ....rip off for £30!!!!

Fantastic food, would highly recommend. The App is great for online ordering but is a bit 'clunky' at times, especially the payment part BUT doesn't deflect from an overall fabulous service.

It’s unusual for me to leave any reviews but i am happy to do so for the Master Fryer in Billingshurst. The food is excellent and the staff are always very pleasant.

Had a too good to go bag today. Very surprised when I got it home to find that you no longer get chips in this. I won't be purchasing another from there. The idea of a chippy tea is that you don't have to cook. Nd rewarm the provided food. I've seen a decline in quality in this chip shop and will reconsider using them again.

Easy to use online ordering. Order for 5.30pm, food was ready for collection 2 minutes before. Very tasty. We had 2 x small cod and one large chips, for just over £20.

What is the point in allowing the option for collection, stating a given time that the order will be ready by, and then get you to wait an extra 15-20 mins for your order once you get there? I completely understand being busy and all, but they should have updated the collection time to be more accurate. Not only that, but the fish and chips were extra salty tonight. Quite disappointing really and I dont think Id be ordering from here again :(

Overall the meal was great. We dropped a star for food due to the Halloumi being very thick and the batter making it hard. A sweet chilli dipping sauce would have been great along side the cheese. The fish was very flavorful and the loaded fries were a great treat. Service was friendly and helpful.

I came here with my friend yesterday and ordered the lunch specials which was really good pricing. Michaela who was our server was really polite and friendly. And got our food very quickly. Food was lovely and piping hot. Will definetely be returning again soon. Thankyou

The staff were snowed under with the amount of orders, but they were professional to a fault, polite and apologetic for being 5 minutes "late" with my order. NO NEED!! At the risk of making them busier, they are an excellent, excellent chippie X

Have to say I've updated my previous more negative review today as the haddock today was rather good, alas also pretty expensive but that seems par for the course these days, and a good size portion of chips. Great chippy in the heart of Billingshurst. Working at a local school, we occasionally put in big orders via the online system. It always works a treat, with the food ready and waiting to pick up. The food is fresh, hot, and tasty too. Definitely one of the best fish & chip shops I've used.

Cooked to order fish and chips never works!. You have a shop full of heated glass warmers with a drip grill underneath so the fat can drop through and the fish batter crisps up. It needs to go back to that way of cooking! where you walk into the fast food place and walk out fast because you’ve had your food quickly! not cooked to order!, it leaves all sloppy and that’s when it’s cooked properly! which it never is here! it’s always undercooked! as it was for myself last night?. I will not go back to this fish and chip shop again.!

Waiting ages for food fish had skin on and waste of money half a tub off salt on the food stay away 25 quid in the bin why should I email u and waste more time u would get zero 🌟 if i could everyone stay away from this place

Waited far too long,covered in 3 tons of salt,no proper wooden forks to eat with ,no vinegar,25 notes wasted,chips.looked like warm ups. I have said what iam not happy with ,what Is a standard email reply going to achieve ,nothing, everybody who has complained are to reply to this standard email,forget it

Food was great, and a nice size portion. We ordered online which was easy and efficient and chose a time slot we wanted. Only thing let it down very slightly was it was unorganised when we went to collect. There was people queuing all over the place and made it a wait to just collect the order due to no clear queues. Would definitely recommend them though.

Haddock and chips for £7.95 ordered for 5.15 and ready exactly on time. Fish was beautiful, I do like bigger chips but they can’t help the size of the potatoes they buy in. All round, very pleasing. What’s not to like at that price.

I have just enjoyed the most sensational Cod and chips I think I have ever had! I have few words, except to say that the food and the experience are second to none. Food was inedible. Chips were disgusting and felt like they have been left out for days. Batter on the fish was also disgusting and tasted awful. Used to go here a lot. Never going back

Always great, really tasty and not greasy, everything stays crispy even after a 15mins drive back...yes it is worth travelling for! Very popular so sometime a long wait even after ordering and seleting pickup time on app hence 4stars but the staff are great and there is a positive atmosphere despite being inundated with orders. The app is great also and you can collect points. Adequate parking.

Well how can I start. Honestly some of the best fish and chips I’ve had in my 18 short years on this planet, I have received truly incredible customer service from a worker named Elliot he took my order with outstanding manors and my big order came in less than 15 minutes. If I was to recommend any chip shop I would pick the master fryer at billingshurst West Sussex. 10/10 food, the family loved it

We ordered a large chips, large hake, 6 chicken nuggets and a chicken burger. Portions are very generous, and the food was yummy. Definitely value for money, would definitely recommend.

Really convenient to order ahead and just pick up on your way home (as we did). You can even do it online which is great for phone-phobes like me!! Food was hot and absolutely delicious, cannot fault it and the children's meals especially are excellent value. 100% recommend.

We tried the master fryer for the first time on Friday. We prebooked the order in advance. We ordered a chicken burger, large sausage, portion of chicken nuggets and large fries. We asked for the fries to be well done as I don't like half cooked anemic chips. When I arrived on time the order was ready and I was in and out in about 3 minutes. The shop was full. Thats always a good sign. The staff were all very busy and were polite. The service was very good. The food was very nice too. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the chips could of been cooked a bit more but they were still very good. Considering they were so busy this was a very minor point. We will definitely go here again. The prices were very reasonable as well. If your passi g or if your a local like us that hasn't been here before ibwould seriously recommend trying it.

An excellent family meal ordered online and available for collection on time, slight error with the order but the situation was dealt with perfectly. Particular mention for the battered sprouts, absolutely superb!

Portion sizes have greatly reduced but prices are now rediculous. Used to be able to get a generous portion of large chips which were nice, fresh, and hot. Now we get the smallest ‘large chips’ I’ve ever seen, and for over £4! Shocked and will not be returning. Gone are the days where you can get a good value fish and chip meal, yes the cost of living and inflation is an issue but it’s like they’re doing it to cash in. Sort it out.

My advice be to order online, if order in shop your likley to be there for sometime!! Worth the wait.friendly staff work well together. Bit pricey but what's not in these times. Not meny chipys get it anymore but get a nice peice of... Huss, Rock, Dogfish, Shark what ever you know it as!! Obviosly have a good suplyer as fish is quality and cooked well

Popped in at lunchtime, they took my money and said 10 mins, 40 minutes later I walked out. Appalling service. One girl trying to complete an order of at least 20 portions, 5 people in front of me none of which had been served when I left. The food I saw looked undercooked and the girl was unhygienic, passing coins through the open food warmer to the man frying. No gloves no hand washing. Glad I left, you can keep my money use it to hire some staff

Have never felt so disregarded at a food venue. Arrived to make an order on Fri night. 4 staff on front of house serving, wrapping up etc. Wasn't even acknowledged for actualy coming into the shop, then was ignored for another 10 minutes, when approached counter to say like to place an order staff moved away, few minutes later comments on walk ins were made, so I left, and would certainly never consider going back to this venue. Doubt that this will be taken seriously, if you can ignore custom then clearly you have so much income coming in you don't want to take on anymore customers.

Very friendly staff and quick service.the chips were very nice but a bit bitty.apart from that I can recommend a visit .as you can see it's probably the longest chip in the world.as big as the sausage.

Feel it has gone really down hill! The last 3 times we have been in, the chips have been cold, old, oily and portions have gotten smaller. Have noticed that prices have gone up, which is crazy given the food is so poor!
