We had lunch just before Christmas, as treat for our family coming to spend the holidays in Horsham. We were served by the lovely Elena: such a great hospitality professional! She approached us with the warmest smile on her face and delivered a consistently excellent service throughout our meal, making sure everyone was comfortable and well looked after. We ordered a selection of starter to share and rib eye as main courses: food was absolutely delicious and steaks perfectly cooked. We had a fabulous experience and we will certainly be back.

We are regulars now to the Horsham restaurant having made a reservation using the app . This is worth doing as visits equals points which equals offers etc every time you visit. It was busy but we’re quickly seated. Really enjoyed the prawn cocktail starter, large size prawns but no bread and butter with it? For £9.95 I feel this should be included as it used to be part of this starter? My ribs were nice, served with chips and coleslaw and my wife’s steak was good but there appears to be some cutbacks. The tomato with the steak was only a quarter size compared to previous visits. We were offered sauces with our food which we accepted but they never arrived. We used to get water served with our meals but not tonight. I asked for some water with our food but this never arrived either which was disappointing. I would have left a tip but felt it wasn’t justified on this occasion. We will come again but the service needs to be improved to give that great experience which we had been used to.

Absolutely fabulous service from Millie, nothing was too big of an ask! She did everything with a smile on her face and the food was absolutely spot on!

Brilliant staff, super friendly - really on it. Very impressed. The food was perfect - no-one had a single bad thing to say ! And the cocktails, superb.

Xmas dinner 25/12/24 A very convivial atmosphere with very friendly and attentive staff. This is the good bit, now to the meals: The starters were tasty. A cheese souffle for me & a ham hock & chicken parfait for my partner - at least that's what he ordered but there was no parfait, instead cranberry sauce was substituted with no explanation. It tasted nice so we overlooked it. Dessert was millionaire choc fondant. Tasty but mine had no form to it. I guess it had been sitting awhile in the kitchen and melted. My partners on the other hand was freshly made after they first tried to give him the wrong dessert and his came out actually looking like you could eat it with a spoon rather than suck it through a straw like mine. So to the main event. My order was turkey dinner. No Brussels, no stuffing and no parsnips. There was a indistinguishable mushy concoction on the plate which I think may have contained some green stuff and perhaps unformed stuffing but it wasn't nice as the flavours didnt work together so I left it. My partner ordered rib eye surf and turf. He said the steak was lovely, but couldn't find the turf. We asked the waitress and she pointed out two shrimp sized pieces of something & said that was the turf. We still don't know what it was. The chips were hard and the onion 'ring' was a oil suffused hard inedible thing. We are of simple tastes, generally very content with well cooked and well presented food. We're not complainers but this was barely passable and certainly not worth the not inconsiderable price we paid. 3 stars given in recognition of the hardworking and delightful staff .

Great service but food was average and disappointing.

We really enjoyed our visit and our meal. As it was my birthday, I got there with my family; we got welcomed with a complimentary glass of prosecco (that M&C offered via an email voucher), we then got the two course meal and We thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was very friendly and attentive

Great service from Elena, very personable and friendly. Had a great meal, a couple of issues on the main courses, very quickly sorted by the kitchen.

Lovely venue, well laid out, staff more than helpful and as 5 members of my group were late the staff accommodated us, staff always there to ask if we needed more drinks etc

The waiting staff were very polite and informative about the menu, we all had steaks and they were cooked to perfection! All the sides were really tasty, didn’t take too long for our food and drinks to be served. Overall a fantastic experience, 5 star food and 5 star service

Fantastic service. We had the Butchers Block which had 2 Fillets, 1 sirloin and 1 Ribeye. The Fillet is the best and it's expertly cooked. We had an excellent dinner and would go again!

Came here for our 1 year anniversary and we were greeted by Amber our waitress!! She was amazing from the beginning all the way to the end with great service. Definitely recommend to come here to the Horsham branch as the Kitchen are the best by far and every steak was cooked to perfection (we had the butchers block). Staff were excellent. No faults :)

Amber was amazing! Very friendly service and nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious as normal. It was quite quiet in the restaurant but still a nice festive feel with music and decorations.

I went for lunch with my family and there was a big group of us. I am ceoliac and was well catered for and didn’t feel like a pain. I was given a gluten free menu with a range of options. The staff were friendly and helpful. I ordered the seabass. It was delicious. The rest of my family had steak and regarded it highly. I had a banoffee pie for desert and it was huge.

Visited on a busy Friday night. Elena our server was great. Very attentive and personable. Getting to know her clients & exceeding expectations when hearing of a recent promotion within our table she brought over a plate with congratulations written in chocolate. We usually visit on a Tuesday and are served by Ash. She noticed us in and came over to say hello. She remembers our orders each time and is a great asset to the restaurant.

The service and food are always great. What makes it just a special occasion restaurant for us is the price, especially your drinks.

I came to miller and Carter for a anniversary dinner on Sunday recently, The service, food and atmosphere was perfect. The steak was cooked to perfection, with great sides and great service. We went at 3.30 pm on a Saturday and it was quiet, but enough people to make a good atmosphere.

Looked at menu online ...no drinks menu online...chose items...get there ,items unavailable...a very limited choice of what I could then have ...and they served me cold fish...very dissapointed. Would not come again.

For an early Tuesday evening the restaurant was very busy and a bit noisy.

Out for a meal with the extended family and had a fantastic time here. The service was faultless, attentive without being too much. Some fussy eaters in the group but nothing was too much trouble. My ribeye steak was the best I’ve had in a long time! Thank you to everyone that made this visit so great and can’t wait to visit again!

Fantastic food - we lived in North America for 6 years so have a high benchmark for ribs and steaks, M&C was up there with the best!

I thought everything was great, the service is really good, not too rushed, not too slow. The tomahawk steaks were not as good as the photo, but the other steaks were very good.

Meal for Daughters 17th Birthday. Served by Elena who was extremely professional and friendly. Food was delicious

I must start by saying that the service was excellent. Amber was very bubbly and attentive. Unfortunately the food was not worth the high-ish (for a chain restaurant) price tag. Our starters were mushrooms and chipotle chicken. The former was served with a good portion of toasted bread, but sadly the cheese sauce was quite insipid. The chicken 'bits' were poor cuts of chicken deep fried in batter. Edible but nothing special. Then came the mains - a T-bone at £40 and fillet at £37. The T-bone had quite a bit of gristle, the fillet was well cooked but again, not very flavourful. They were served with half a tomato, again no real taste, mash, other sides and lettuce wedges. Although the latter were a nice touch, the dressing was overpowering to the point of ruining the taste of the other items. The dessert was good, however, and well priced. A perfect size banoffi pie and coffee for £6. Though the cocktails were well priced (double g+t £10), the mark-up on the wine was extortionate - £34 for a middling bottle of Malbec. A bottle of water was £5! All in, the above plus one other cocktail came to £170 for two. The food was edible, certaintly not so poor as to warrant a complaint - but way, way over priced. Postscript: Danny followed up, and I am confident he has taken my comments on board - thanks.

Went for my Dads birthday. Our server was Elena, she was perfect! Food was delicious and although we were too full for a proper dessert they still made a fuss of the birthday boy! Will definitely return, thank you

The service was really good and staffs were nice. I waited for quite a long time (about 35 min.) but the meal was really appetising. I ordered a Fish Bass Fillet, it was filled with chargrilled vegetables (peppers,courgette etc.) and the taste of the smoke and the texture was really good. The fish’s skin was well-grilled and was filled with mashed green peas next to it (it was also tasting really good with the fish). There was also mashed potatoes on the other side which was well cooked and the sauce came with it was very delicious.

Elena was outstanding and made our night. As she sat us, she asked what made us come for the evening and we shared we were sharing good news. She was genuinely interested and at the end of the night came out with a “congrats” dessert plate - which was ever so kind and thoughtful. Food and atmosphere great as always. Will be back again soon! One small complaint - you must bring back the previous spiced mayo with your halloumi sticks! Heartbroken that had been changed on the menu! :-)

Perfect Friday night dinner. The Chateaux Briande was outstanding, coupled with a very easy drinking Malbec. Service was fantastic and genuine and all in all a lovely evening. We’ll be coming back.
