We haven’t had a takeaway for 3 years now. Fancied a Chinese tonight and we always used Masefield Road before. So decided to order from them again. It was absolutely gorgeous, delivered hot, everything was cooked perfect. Enjoyed every bit and price still very good value for money. Would highly recommend to anyone. A big thank you to all the staff and we will definitely be back again.

Another Saturday and the need for a good Chinese meal. Nice to eat at home so a delivery was needed and the best place, as usual, is Masefield. A new website makes ordering easy and safe. Delivery is ALWAYS dead-on time. As for the food, delicious. I joke about the Szechuan beef, my favourite. It is always good, but on some occasions, there is a chef who adds that extra chilli and do I know it. However, I love it.

Saturday evening and can't be bothered to cook so ????? Yup, a Chinese meal was called for and Masefield can't be beaten. Ordered online and delivered dead on time and really piping hot. Delicious food but that's no surprise as it always is from this restaurant.

Having placed my order 2 hours before I wanted it did not receive it and the restaurant did not give a toss , having used them a lot this year extremely disappointed when they cancelled my order will never use them again absolutely shocking customer service

We have been using just eat as a delivery service since lockdown and have been extremely and pleasantly surprised by the Chinese takeaway Masefield The food arrived well within the allocated time , hot and plentiful and is extremely tasty It is priced ok and always get the order correct Definitely one I’d recommend considering we didn’t really use take away before lockdown now it’s our go to treat rather than going to a restaurant

We’ve had a break from take-aways for a short while but decided, last night, to have a treat of a Chinese. Delivery was, this time, three minutes early. Food was, as usual, piping hot and totally delicious. We have tried a few places while Masefield was closed but none come close the quality and flavours that this restaurant reaches. A TIP. If you are local then phone in your order but make sure you have the cash handy for the delivery guy. My reason is that both JustEat and BigFoodie charge for delivery, £2 and £3, even local. The restaurant direct doesn’t within a three mile radius. In fact according to BigFoodie our postcode is a village 8 miles away.

With the Coronavirus lockdown being slightly lifted gave us the opportunity to have a takeaway from our favourite restaurant. Ordered online and paid to avoid contact we ordered at mid-day for a 18.40 delivery. Almost on time, maybe a little early, the delicious food arrived. All piping hot and very freshly cooked. So much food but it all went. Hadn’t changed from four months ago. Can’t be beaten and deserves its high rating from this reviewer. However, a loss of one star on this occasion. I was charged £2.00 delivery when the menu states no delivery charge for a three mile radius. We are about 1 mile away. Is this the restaurant or is it Just Eat????????

Normally have our order delivered, today notice their delivery charge as shot up to £4.50, (most do free delivery within a 3 mile radius) so decided to collect, once home we noticed that the sweet and sour sauce was missing from the order of sweet and sour chicken balls so bit of a let down, other than that the food was tasty

Always use this Chinese is nice and local also delivers and always does great food find it much better than many others we have tried . Great friendly service

We had a takeaway from here last night and the standard of food was excellent. We ordered a variety of dishes including duck in orange sauce, pork and mushroom ,sweet and sour pork balls. The special fried rice was probably one of the nicest I have had. We will certainly be having from here again

Late order, unhelpful staff, rude delivery driver, could have dealt with that but food terrible too. Expensive mistake

Seems to be going down hill, one week it’s a missing item, tonight it’s the wrong order, phone them and person on phones just goes ‘oops’ can do them again, only taken hour and half to get this lot. Sat here waiting for new stuff to arrive

Nine, hungry, people ordered a delivery for 7.30. It was late by two minutes, lol. Seriously good, hot, Chinese which seemed to disappear very quickly from the table. The meal was ordered online through BigFoodie on Masefields website with no delivery charge. Ordering through JustEat gets a delivery charge of £1.00 yet it's the same address.

This is the first time a mistake had been made by this fantastic take-away. Ordering our usual on this occasion the chicken chop suey was missing from the set meal. Therefore it lost a star. Won't make any difference, we will still order from The Masefield as the food is always exemplary.

Chicken in yellow bean sauce was very dry and not fresh, you could tell the chicken had been reheated - Phone up and complained they offered to send out replacement dish but instead credited me.

The weekend has arrived and time for a treat of a take-away. What could be better than chinese from The Masefield. Ordering online and requesting a delivery time, early in the day. With the knowledge that The Masefield will not let you down on delivery you can sit back and await those mouth watering dishes to arrive. Chilli hot Szechuan beef with plain chow mein, wow. My partners set meal of various chicken. Great take-away and they have NEVER let us down.

Owner was really nice, also the food was cooked very quickly. The food was hot and the beansprouts in the chop suey were crispy! Good service and good food

always go to China village but since this place had good reviews we have it a try. food was on time -promising! but the duck wasn’t shredded so had to do it myself- one of the reasons I didn’t just cook it myself! the cucumber and spring onion were warm and soggy. prawn crackers were burnt! I realise there is an option for more sauces but there was a real lack of this for the amount of meat ordered. even though we minimised the amount of sauce that we used, it just wasn’t enough! not impressed! will be going back to China village! for the price we pay for this food, you should really deliver on it!

Haven’t ordered from here before and have discovered this is definitely the best Chinese in the area. Food was delivered early and everything tasted delicious.

Chinese New Year, so a quick 4.30 phone call to The Masefield for a 6.30 deliver was needed. We had to celebrate with the Chinese. By 6.00 our taste buds were in overdrive and at precisely 6.25 the door bell rung and it was our delivery. You certainly can rely on their delivery times.

Disgusting ordered my food at 6.30. It's still not here! Trying to ring restaurant and can't get through. Absolutely disgusting over £55 has been taken from my card too

our meal was due to be delivered at 7 pm. at 10 minutes past seven I looked on the Just Eat app and it reported my meal was delivered. I phoned the take away and was told the car had broken down and the meal would be another 15-20 minutes. I phoned again after another half hour and was told the meal had left the shop. we finally got to eat at 8.00 pm I really enjoyed a tasty meal but would have appreciated email or phone updates. why did the Just Eat report via the app that the meal was delivered when it was not?

Out food didn't arrive until 8:30pm. We called and they weren't apologetic and said they could do anything for us waiting in all 1 hour and 45 minutes. Then I did an online chat to just eat and they said good would be with us soon goodbye. Service all round was poor from restaurant and just eat.

Another night and neither of us could be bothered cooked, lazy, I know. So a take-a-away Chinese was called for. They have never let us down and now it is even easier. Getting online with Just Eat either on the phone or ‘puter. Menu set out beautifully, so easy to use. Order, chose delivery time, pay and off you go. A few minutes later a text arrives telling you the order has been received and the delivery time, which is normally near enough your requested time. Within a few minutes of the time requested the doorbell rings and there is the guy with the Chinese. Perfect food, piping hot. No complaint.

Very fast delivery and food was absolutely AMAZING!! Best smoked shredded chicken we have ever had. Nothing felt greasy and food was piping hot. Will definitely be ordering again!

First time ordering here. Was disappointed with the service. Food took over an hour to arrive and upon arrival we didn't receive all of our order. We were missing a bottle of drink and received a bag of chips instead of the chicken balls ordered. However, the food we did receive was very nice. But would reconsider using again.

The food arrived slightly late, and we did not receive everything we ordered. I rang to inform the restaurant that we were missing items and they would deliver it to us and apologised. I then received a phone call from another member of staff saying it was our fault that we didn't check that we had everything and they were too busy to return to the address with the food we had no received. They offered no refund and refused to come back with the food, and insisted they were not at fault and was very aggressive over the phone. I am appalled at the service and the handling of the situation, and am owed the money for the food we never received

Once again the best Chinese takeaway in the area. Ordered online, confirmation received and then food arrived at the time we requested. Piping hot and delicious. Must find out how they get their beef so tender. Thanks guys.

As usual the food was good but the service was awful...it's always a state of confusion when you go to collect an order with delivery drivers trying to work out how much money they need to hand over, people ordering on the phone and people collecting orders...when I got my order home I was missing an item. I called back and had to speak to two people before my issue was understood. Was told "it will be delivered in 10 minutes ok" so we started eating...sadly the missing item arrived 35 minutes later so I sent it back with delivery driver as we had finished eating! At least it wasn't an expensive item as we have paid for something we haven't received...

Ribs very dry. Duck was over cooked although was well early than expected but the king prawn curry had 3 prawns to many vegetables...

The hoisin sauce pot had been placed on top of the curry sauce pot and when it was delivered the hoisin sauce had gone through the lid into the curry sauce because there was a massive whole in the lid and my chips where cold other than that the rest was lovely

Superb, can't really say anything more than that! Delivered 40 minutes earlier than their estimate and food was delicious.

We ordered chicken chop suey what we received was not chop suey but bean sprouts in a red sauce. Very dissapointed with the portions and quality of the food.

One dish missing, but otherwise good

One of my items was mixed up, but was replaced extremely quickly! Unfortunately, my curry had onions in it, despite requesting otherwise, but it was still delicious. Food on the whole was excellent, nice chunky veg and wonderfully cooked.

Would not order from here again. Delivery was late. Food poor quality. Pancakes and prawn rolls were on the small side. Containers had leaked. Lots of sauce in chow me in, slopping out container.

Food was lovely, and was delivered in the quickest time ever. Only thing was on the just eat version of their menu there isnt an option to order bottles of fizzy drink, like you can on their normal menu.

Alguien por fin nos llamaron de nuevo a las 8. 50:00 pm diciendo el conductor se descompuso y que estaban haciendo nuestra comida fresca casi listo y será debido en breve. 9. 30 y todavía nada. Nos las arreglamos para conseguir a través de nuevo alrededor de las 9. 40:00 y me dijo que no había hecho la cena y era procedente, pero todavía no nos quieren? ! ? ! Podíamos oír el chico en el fondo que llamamos nosotros tener una fila con quien estaba hablando por teléfono con nosotros, diciendo: "porqué me llame, si no estábamos planeando en el envío de la comida? ! "

Food never arrived after being told delivery vehicle had broken down. And they were redoing to send out with another driver over an hour and twenty minutes later still nothing arrived. 3 hours wasted Tried to contact got busy tone over 40 times. Such disappointment after usually great food.
