The Masala Empire in Cardiff

I had a delivery last from this place. The driver arrived after 1 and half hour and chicken jalfrejy was terrible like no spice nothing.. never gonna order again. It’s just waste of money.

Delivery was a little late but otherwise fine. I did find that everything was over greasy. I had Chicken Tikka Masala as a 'safe' option as I had never used this place before. It was listed as 'Medium' on the menu, I found it quite mild. One complaint was that there was a lot of fat floating on the top of the masala. Otherwise it was very tasty.

Ordered at 1747 didn't arrive rang back at 1915 said it's left for delivery I would've cancelled then if I didn't pay by card turned up 1945 cold dry disgusting and in ended up in this never will order here again wouldn't recommend it too the dogs home

Staff were knowledgeable and able to tailor food to individuals request. Portions were a good size and food was flavoursome and tasty. I recommend the chicken tikka masala and the house special byriani.

We often used this takeaway as the food is nice. BUT, I don't think we will be going back anymore. Fed up of items being missing from our order. The last three occasions either a side order, starter or naan bread missing. The last straw was this weekend. The order was an hour late, with no apology, no truthful explanation, we ordered through Just Eat. When the order was 35 mins late we contacted Just Eat, they said they contacted the manager and he said it was because they were really busy, and our order would be a few mins. 30 mins later, it arrived at 9.40pm, having placed our order at 7.40pm! The delivery man said it was late because one of the delivery men was sick, perplexing, as the takeaway is literally the next street over from us! Also, missing naan bread, salad, and mint sauce, and soft popadoms, and no apology! Sorry, you've lost our custom.

Never been here before, was pleasantly surprised, very good service, good curry, friendly staff, would recommend

Had a takeaway 2 nights on the run from here while working in the area.The quality of the food was very high and everything tasted lovely.Would not hesitate to eat from here again when in the area.

I frequently order from here and both the food and the service is good. Delivery driver is always polite and there's a good choice on the menu. It's also less greasy than some local Indian takeaways

Me and my partner ordered a takeaway from here,it was fantastic, the price was great the service was brilliant and the food was beautiful,beautifully cooked beautifully seasoned just lovely. Definitely recommended, most definitely a underrated takeaway

My son orderd an Indian via 'Just Eat' From 'THE MASALA EMPIRE' in Roath Cardiff & paid for the meals including delivery via card on the 23rd January 2015, When the food arrived the delivery driver insisted on further delivery payment, when my son refused, the delivery driver Punched my son in the face, & bent the front door frame when he put his foot in the door. My son has contacted the police about this assult & also contacted 'Just Eat'. 'just Eat were good enough to give him his money back on the meal, as you can imagine, he & his wife did not feel like eating after this assult. An E,mail has been sent to 'The Masala Empire' Explaining about this asians dlivery driver's assult on my son & the scam of the failed extortion attempt. So Please be Warned. 'The Masala Empire' Does Not deserve Any Rating, but had to add one. This Driver should be Sacked. So Take Care if you Order from these People.
