The Market Tavern Horwich in Bolton

Had the best time at The Tavern for my Nan’s surprise party! It was a bit of a last-minute booking but nothing was too much trouble. Huge thanks to Karin who went above and beyond to help us get everything sorted. All the staff were so lovely—Kelly stayed right through the night and was an absolute star helping us out with anything we needed. Loved that we could decorate the room ourselves and weren’t tied into using catering like most venues in Horwich (though they offer plenty if you want it, with zero pressure). The room was spotless, looked great, and it was fab having the space all to ourselves. The open mic host even stuck around to do a couple of songs which was a really nice touch. Felt so welcomed from start to finish—would 100% recommend for any event and will happily be going back just for a night out

Had my brothers party here. Room ace, bar staff ace, owners ace and honestly so kind and helpful. Good pint too. Highly recommend.

Polite staff, clean environment, good entertainment

Amazing venue, customer service at it's best. Nothing to much for the staff !!! Very welcoming, and beer the best tasting I have had in ages. They also have free pool nights and darts board. Best place in Horwich by far.

Karin and Shane were both approachable and super helpful with planning our wedding party, Karin recommended a DJ who was incredible and made sure the night was unforgettable! Karin also recommended a caterer who was also fantastic and was well received by party guests, the service provided was amazing and made for a truly unforgettable night! Would highly recommend and would definitely use The Market Tavern in the future!

Me and my partner had are baby shower hear and it was amazing the owners are really helpful and cater for all your needs and enquiries and and are lovely people I would highly recommend to anyone and everyone this is the place for all your events and party’s 100%

Me and my partner had our baby shower here on Saturday and we had both rooms, they where the perfect size for a baby shower Karin did an amazing job with all the decorations making the room look stunning and she did everything how I asked and was so helpful with everything we needed🥰 Shane was also so nice and polite making sure everything was how we wanted it and made sure the night went smoothly The bar lady was amazing also really funny and polite always had a smile on her face Everyone loved the room and the whole event we couldn’t recommend this place enough thank you for everything xxx

Just had my daughters 18th birthday party here , absolutely stunning room so modern , the owners shane and karin were so helpful help me decorate the room and even let is use the balloon ring. They ordered all buffet food and that was outstanding, and booked us our dj , the service from start to finish was amazing. Definitely wouldn't use another venue again this place is amazing 🫶

Great little bar good range of beers and lovely staff. The new owners have done a lot to make this a welcoming watering hole. Got full skysports on multiple large screens definitely a bar to visit

Place itself OK but not enough good real ale, john Smiths is mediocre at best
