The Market Row Cafe in Great Yarmouth

Wow, what can I say? I have never reviewed anything but feel like I should on this occasion. I ordered a plain omelette that cost over £6.00. Have a look at the photo of what I was given. I thought it was a pancake at first! This was so bad. Firstly, it tasted 2 out of 5. There was no fluff whatsoever, and it was so flat and blended. It was nothing to get excited about. I could not believe that I was given this to eat. I will not come to this place again. This place used to be good, but it is no longer. People told me the omelette was grilled and not in a pan.

Fantastic food had a roast lamb dinner and my god the best roast I've have in years food was cooked to prefection coffee is just amazing to drink and staff are very welcoming and friendly Very clean and tidy cafe Highly recommended cafe we love it

Popped I to this cafe during a fleeting visit to the Town Centre and was not dissapointed. Haven't been here for many years and it has changed a lot cosmetically but the staff are still the same. Welcoming, friendly and efficient. I had the all day breakfast which was superb and at a very reasonable cost. Food cooked to order and arrived in good time presented well. Lovely food , lovely service so well worth a visit if you are in town , you wont be dissapointed. Looking forward to my next visit.

Not impressed sadly, gone really down hill, used to be proper homemade food ,and everything was fresh, sadly heated in microwave ,ruined the sausage and onion pie, was as rubbery as anything and top it off with 2 measly scoops of mash potato on a huge plate, looks ridiculous, when my partner was served this we just looked in shock it was like a child's portion size,such a shame as was a brilliant cafe, even the owner has lost her spark

This is by far the best cafe in Great Yarmouth. Always a lovely warm welcome, very clean and excellent value for money. My husband and I visit most weeks during the winter months and cannot fault it in anyway. Staff are friendly and do an excellent job. Cafe is always busy when we go in which speaks for itself. Thank you to all staff for making our visit so enjoyable.

Our go-to place for coffee or a light lunch. Family run establishment. Friendly and helpful staff. Reasonably priced.

The person on here that says Vennasa puts her customers in danger what a load of crap she is a lovely woman running a great cafe when we are up there we always head for there you can't get better maybe only the chips in the market

We stopped here, not because it looked the best but because we could sit outside with the dog. The menu was basic, and they don't have brown bread. Poached eggs were done in one of those old poachers and over done. Chips were hard as bullets. When the food was brought out they advised to be careful of the seagulls eating out here. Within a minute we were under attack and lost the toast, and told we did warn you. Good job the food wasn't nice so we didn't miss it, would nice to be warned before we ordered we may have gone else where.

Excellent Breakfast! Portions were generous and the food was piping hot! Will come back here when I'm next in town.

Popped in to the cafe for lunch, a good menu selection available catering for all needs. Service was fast and efficient. If you are hungry, then this is the place to go, the food is plentiful and at a very reasonable price. This cafe is very popular especially with the locals, and as they say always go where the locals eat.

Nice cafe,but not the same anymore.Shame old staff left friendly,smiley faces.Staff use to make u allways wellcome.

I queued very patiently in the queue for 10 minutes as service was slow despite it not being busy and asked very politely to use the toilet, to which I was told I couldn’t because I wasn’t a customer. It was humiliating and just hurtful as pregnant women can’t be expected to buy a coffee every time they need the loo. It may not have been obvious that I was pregnant but regardless you would expect to be able to use the toilet, especially during this time when the shopping centre ones are closed.

We were treating our friends to lunch and they suggested this place. Food was good and very reasonably priced, service was excellent and staff were friendly. Very welcoming. Would go back again when in the area. Just to say it is a cash only place.

This is a small cafe which serves good coffee and plenty of choices for snacks or light meals. Cake is great.

it doesn't matter if it's your first time coming here or your a regular you get treated like your old friends I love this place decent food amazing staff what more could you ask for

We visited the cafe having discovered it on a day trip to Yarmouth. It is a very nice, basic cafe, selling good English food at very reasonable prices. The men is fairly basic, English breakfast, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and roasts among the items on offer. The staff are friendly and very quick at clearing and cleaning the tables. If you can find it, I thoroughly recommend this cafe.

My wife and I often visit this cafe, when in town. Whether it be for a snack or a meal.On every occasion we have always had good service, and good food.The prices are very reasonable.The choose of menu is also very good.The cafe is always buzzing around lunchtime, yet the food is freshly prepared and cooked while you wait and is piping hot.You order and pay at the counter, then the food is brought to your table.

Visited market row cafe for breakfast. Must admit wished I had carried on walking past this cafe. Service was very good shame the breakfast was not for me. But there is a very good menu to choose from so maybe I will give something else a try.

Spotlessly clean, happy staff and quick service. The roast beef lunch was excellent and amazing value at £5.50

Great place with good value food served freshly cooked. My wife had liver, onions & bacon while I had 1/2 pounder with cheese plus chips. All good & hot.

Visited Great Yarmouth to see family and saw reviews about Café so decided to visit. Staff and customer service is excellent. Owner...........what a man and a kind person.......... breakfast...........well........Mega Breakfast is excellent especially with Black Pudding. It is a good honest, old fashioned café that all of us of a certain age remember and love to visit. Excellent value for money too and the Roast Pork joint that appeared whilst we were having breakfast looked delicious. Fantastic place.

Been visiting this place since I was a child , the layout of the counter has changed during this time ( counter full of crusty filled rolls when I was a child) however the value for money , cleanliness and friendliness of all the staff is unchanged and that’s what makes this little gem the place it is .

As a disabled person of two people on this trip, the staff helped us out so much.

We found this cafe as we were exploring the Rows as my grandfather had lived in Row 97 in the early 1900's

Nothing fancy but very friendly & helpful staff. Great range of food which is freshly cooked and served piping hot.

Just had the 'Big Breakfast' was fantastic, food was piping hot, not greasy at all and tasted great. Very good value for money. Will definitely be back.

Called in this cafe just for a cup of tea so cannot comment on the food but it looked good on other peoples plates. Our cups of tea were hot and did the job. The front of house lady was very "smiley" and friendly. I'm not a lover of the plastic tablecloths but that's just a personal thing.

We were standing at the door, thinking about going in, a lady came up asked if we were OK, We were wondering if we can get a wheelchair in anywhere. She said yes and we went to a table she moved the chair, so we can have room.

Jacket potatoes very goodles Vale for money. Potatoe very soft and fluffy. Choice of fillings. Breakfast very filling. Good value. Staff very efficient. Polite. Brilliant service.

Went for lunch which rarely happens but usually go here when I can. Had the Spanish omelette which was very filling. Always busy, food always good value and nice family.

This cafe speaks for itself. It's always packed no matter whether high or low season. The staff can't do enough for you and the value for money is spot on.

This is one of my favourite places to eat in Great Yarmouth not only for the food but also for the customer service. The staff are polite and welcoming which makes you want to return again and again.

since georges dinner has gone we havd been looking for for something simular n yes we found it the staff r lovely n friendly u order ur food n pay n the staff bring the food to u found it very nice n tasty its the 3rd time in going there n shall be going again

Great little eating place good honest food got a great atmosphere staff are very friendly from a cup of tea to full roast dinners belt busters puts a smile on your face when you get the bill very cheap.

Been coming here for years now, brought mum in who hasn't been in since 1986! lovely food at a good price. Good service. Nothing bad to say about this place at all. A true time warp, as it hasn't been decorated since the mid 70s but it has character :-)

This was recommend to us by a guy in one of the local stores. Wow, what a great place and great food. We had two breakfasts which included tea and toast for the amazing price of £10 The food was very, very tasty and great portions. Can't wait to go back.

Little gem down one of the side streets.

Hidden little gem in amongst the independent shops down The Market Rows. We came across it by pure chance and decided to try it out, I wasn't overly hungry so thought I would have a light meal and have a jacket potato...it was MAHOOSIVE!! I've never seen a potato that big before but my god it was good. Extremely good value for

Stumbled across this amazing place to eat hidden out the way just off the market. The food was very enjoyable and it wasn't small portions, good value for money. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

This is a very busy cafe which tenders for the Great Yarmouth market trade as well and it sometimes gets very busy, but the staff are very willing to help if they can.

whilst roaming around the market and shops in Great Yarmouth we stumbled over a cafe restaurant hidden down a ginnel called market row.Although very busy staff where very pleasant and obliging ,great menu food excellent and pocket friendly

Extended family 11 of us 1 in a wheelchair. Food was spot on and very reasonable price. Staff are lovely and couldn't do enough.

An extensive menu and great food. The major problem is that it is hard to get a table during lunchtime because of it's popularity, although it does quiten down after 2pm. Well recommended.

We visit often to have lunch here, clean, friendly, tasty food and plenty of it, always busy, prbably the best café to eat in Great Yarmouth.

Lovely food! Lovely staff! What more could you ask for?! Been going to the Market Row Cafe for many years and the staff are so so friendly! The menu is vast and caters for everyone including fussy 7 year olds!

I'm on holiday (from Australia) visiting my niece and family in Great Yarmouth and they have taken me to The Market Row cafe 3 times as they obviously like eating there. The food is very good and the cafe always looks like there are many customers.The staff are cheerful and the cafe has a good atmosphere.

This cafe is excellent, great food friendly staff and always busy. If visiting great yarmouth I highly recommend you to eat there.

When we are in Great Yarmouth this is our regular cafe. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent, always served very quickly and the prices are reasonable. Good value for money.

spent a day in yarmouth , popped in for a snake, the foods home cooked and all the family said it was nice

We enjoyed a very good lunch at this very clean cafe which was excellent value for money. The quality and quantity was comparable to restaurants more expensive than this self-service cafe.

Food was brilliant cheap and something for everyone definitely recommend to all. Portions were excellent if u order anything except the toasties. Maybe with the toasties they could provide salad as I had nick chips from my partner.

this cafe is great , we come in here every time we come into town . The food is great and the service is very friendly and excellent .

We found this little Gem of a cafe whilst visiting the market & sight seeing, we stopped to have a coffee and saw a Ham joint being carved so we decided to have a ham roll with our coffee and it was delicious, well worth a visit, in fact we went back most days.
