Great fish and chips. Have not bought before but having tried it we will be making this our regular place. Very friendly staff and all cooked perfectly. Prices very competitive too. Many thanks

I have been going here all through lockdown. I always ordered haddock, which HAD to be cooked fresh because it wasn't a ready cooked cod. It makes a huge difference that is worth the wait. Also, they are very friendly and polite guys. I recommend.

Not as terrible as many reviews only got some chips though. They were fine. Not the freshest and not as good as in other places in town. Good price and very friendly staff

Friendly staff. Food terrible. Soggy soggy batter, in fact undercooked. Chips tasted like they had been cooked at lunchtime and fried again. Won't return.

The worst cod and chips I have ever had. The cod was wafer thin with awful batter that was full of grease and the chips tasted like cardboard. Went straight in bin. Will definitely not be buying from here again.

What a find!such a traditional market,held in the street every Thursday,Lots of stalls selling fresh fruit and veg,cheeses of every variety,clothes and lots of artisan sellers.Wonderful to hear the traders shouting out their wares.Well worth a visit.Two punnets of raspberries for £1.00,can't beat that!Had coffee in This little piggy,lots of regulars,no nonsense coffee.

What a bunch of idiots! Over charged and wouldn't even give free sauce! Who does that? Bunch of free loading morons. Ruined the end of my night. They should be reported to the council. Grrrrrrr food awful

Fish & chips from here are fine, but not the best in town (Lees & Lemon Plaice are better), but the good things about the place are location (Market Place), convenience (they're open late, long after the others have shut) and the friendly service.

Excellent cod and chips. Fish was beautifully cooked and flaky and the chips were lovely. All fresh cooked while you wait. Great value.

Used to come here weekly as a child same day as the flea market next door at the corn exchange I don’t know if those markets still run on a Thursday what I do know is this restaurant has stood the test of time excellent meal quickly served ample seating what more can you ask for

We travel into Devizes for the cinema then across to the Market Plaice say every 4-6 weeks. Tonight around 8pm we had fish and chips both freshly cooked and they were really good. The staff are cheerful and we find this to be an excellent fish and chip shop.

Fuimos a la tarde del domingo para llevar como nuestra tienda habitual estaba cerrada. Deseado no haber molestado.Gabinete caliente lleno de pescado frito, que podría haber estado allí por varias horas, decidimos pedir eglefino que necesitan ser fresco. Tomó un largo tiempo para conseguir este preparado, mucho más larga de lo habitual que sólo nuestra tienda cocineros a la orden.El pescado era pequeña, pero bien preparado. Las patatas fritas eran incomibles, junto a la aguada, pasada e incluso el himno nacional no tienen ellos de pie. Precio mucho más alto que el de nuestra tienda habitual y para un producto significativamente inferior. Le insto a cualquier tenemos resistir para pescado y patatas fritas en un domingo, ya que nadie en la ciudad es tan bueno como nuestro proveedor habitual.

Oh wow. Amazing . We were moving house and starving. They open all day and the chef cooked our meal freshly to order . Best fish and chips for miles.

Chips are usually white - undercooked. Taste that way too. Dont have anything for vegetarians. They look at you dumfounded if you ask for anything vegi. Fail.

Visitamos aquí con un cliente saqué como su cuidador. La visita fue aproximadamente 12,15 . A la llegada nos dio una mesa y entonces pedí nuestras comidas. patatas fritas de bacalao y guisantes blandos para cliente y salchichas patatas fritas y salsa curry para mí. Había 4 trabajadores de hombres en la mesa detrás que cuando fuimos, me di cuenta que había mucho de sus comidas habían comido. No es una buena señal. El personal nos trajo nuestras bebidas y unos 10 minutos más tarde, nuestra comida. Ningún guisantes con una comida y sin salsa de curry en otro. Pregunté dónde estaba. Personal contestamos que sí. 5 minutos más tarde me preguntaron dónde resto de comida. Finalmente nos trajeron de guisantes y la salsa. En macetas. luke único tanto calor y el resto de la comida estaba fría en este punto. Las patatas fritas eran horribles y como si la grasa en freidora no ha cambiado en siglos. Comimos más, ya que estábamos hambrientos. El restaurante es muy viejo y desgastado. Las luces en la pared había un montón de moscas muertas en ellos. El lugar parecía estar sucia. El personal no podía conseguir comida justo ( sólo estuvimos 2) en volver a casa, tanto de nosotros sufrimos tummys. Tuvimos que tarifa 1 estrellas. Nunca volveré aquí de nuevo.

The friendly staff had a great service. I ordered a fish and chips with tea. The fish had a crispy well cooked batter. The chips were fresh and well cooked as well. Decoration improvements need to be made.

The chips were as grim as Chantel with a bottle of cider on a Friday night and the tomato ketchup was so watered down golf fish could have survived. This might be why my piece of fish was still flapping on my plate. Hmmm?

If you are in or near Devizes you must try to make the effort to go to this busy, bustling market. There are plenty of places to go for a meal/and or a meal afterwards. A lovely experience.

We had cod and chips recently, which was good value. The chips were well cooked, but the fish was only ok and the batter was undercooked. All in all okay but nothing special

Friendly Portuguese owners and great food, always cooked fresh to order. Parking available opposite in market place car park.

Sat down in the shop for one of the best Fish and Chips we have had in a long time. The batter was light and crispy and large. The chips freshly cooked and plentiful. Service quick and with a smile.The restaurant is basic but the value for such good food means we will be back time and time again.
