Fantastic choice of vegan food. Vegan breakfast was lovely, so good we came back the next day . Selection of vegan pastries and cakes was excellent. The vegan hazelnut pain au chocolate was delicious 😋

Nice atmosphere, not a huge menu to choose from, seems amazing for breakfast. Ordered a chicken salad for lunch, it was unfortunately really average (just iceberg and croutons) and the piece of chicken was really small. The staff and the cafe were really nice, just felt a bit short changed on the salad.

Went in here for breakfast as it said it opened at 8 am. However, food doesn't start until 9 am. The waitress told us that Wetherspoons, just 30 meters along the road, they started serving breakfast at 8 an, so we went there instead.

Good spot in the town for food - quite a wait in-between drinks arriving at your table and also food. Awkward wait at the bar to pay as the staff were chatting to what was their friend who had popped in. Few flaws but not bad.

I have eaten here for several years and generally it has been “ok”. My last trip there (and I mean that today’s trip was my last) was very poor. We arrived at 8.40 and ordered coffee and wanted to order breakfast. We were told that they didn’t start cooking until 9.00 which we said was fine. Breakfast arrived at 9.25. I had the full breakfast. One mushroom, one small rasher of bacon, one egg, a pot of cold baked beans, a sausage, a bunch of cress, and a slice of toast made with white bread for £11. I asked for brown toast as I don’t eat white and was told they didn’t serve brown bread. Not impressive. I asked for another coffee for us. It didn’t arrive. The staff were very busy chatting behind the bar and had no interest in the customers. I asked again after 15 minutes when I eventually got their attention and they gave us the coffee “on the house”. As I said, this was my last visit.

Had my first outing to the market place cafe on Wednesday and it was fab, despite we were later in going they were lovely and served us right up until closing. I had the chocolate orange brownie and I was very happy to see it was vegan meaning my dietary restrictions weren’t affected. I love this little boards they are served on. The flavour was gorgeous and I would definitely recommend. I also had a hot chocolate which was beautiful and VERY full. I would definitely be back. The cafe part is expanding and work is being done aswell as the loos being updated and I can’t wait to see what they do next. There is a small shop aswell full of eco & sustainable items to make our journeys to a more sustainable living easier.

Wanted somewhere to eat before taking the dog for a walk. We were looking for something fresh, healthy and dig friendly and we weren't disappointed. There's no booking here, it's a come in and wait, but the turnaround seems relatively quick. We went on a Thursday, so I guess it'll be busier at the weekend. Table service, all the staff were really friendly and our food didn't take long at all. Vegan and Veggie options are available. I'm a meat eater, but fancied one of the dishes marked 'V', so simply added some bacon to it with no bother. Both our dishes were really tasty and they are good portions. We had brunch style food, eggs, avocado, sourdough, bacon, etc. I'm not sure if they do a different menu later in the day Reasonable prices, good portions, good service. Definitely worth a visit if you are in our around Morpeth.

Decided to give this a try for mid morning coffee based on good reviews. Place virtually empty and five staff but no one wanted to take our order. When we asked for service the response was distinctly prickly. Bland average coffee arrived while we endured the loud inane conversation of the staff about their “bitch” friend and the impending opening of a competing coffee shop. Interesting customer toilet. Loose toilet seat, overflowing bin and basin tap at a jaunty angle wearing a groove in the plasterboard. Won’t hurry back.

Have popped in here twice. The first time we didn't realize they only served food Weds-Sat but we stopped for a hot drink. The server was abrupt and seemed quite vacant when I paid. She didn't know what we'd had but we were honest and paid our dues. The 2nd time I visited with friends. It was fairly busy but there were plenty of servers. They didn't take our order for some time and then they only brought 1 cup of tea instead of 2. The young lady looked miserable and very fed up. 2 of us had the mackerel on toast and 1 the beans on toast. It was all hot. I don't think I'd return again and this is mainly due to the poor reception you get when you go in. No welcoming smiles or hellos and you actually feel a little awkward. NB There isn't a toilet to use here so make sure you go before coming in. The chap next to us needed to use the toilet and had to go to Sanderson Arcade, just as his tea turned up. 😐

Really wanted to try this place after seeing all the lovely pictures of the food and reading some good reviews. Popped in this morning and we took a seat and waited over 10 minutes to be served but nobody came over or even acknowledged us. I could understand if it had been busy and they'd told us there would be a bit of a wait, but the place was half empty and neither of the staff behind the counter even looked in our direction. There was another couple also waiting to be served and they'd been there longer than us. So we ended up leaving and going elsewhere

Been here a couple of times recently and I’d go as far saying it’s the best breakfast in the area. Lovely cafe with great coffee, lovely staff too. Turkish breakfast is very flavourful and packs a punch for breakfast. Wife had a nice breakfast too. Bairn loves her sausages which are a cheap extra. Well balanced food and good value. Very very nice place.

I really wanted to like this place as I admire their eco friendly ethos but sadly the service was anything but friendly. We arrived and being unsure whether it was table or counter service took a seat. It wasn't busy and three members of staff were behind the counter chatting, so after a few minutes my husband went over to the counter to ask about ordering. Staff continued chatting, ignoring him till eventually he had to politely interrupt and ask if he could be served. Finally order taken and served with no smiles or pleasantries. The coffee itself was good as was the home baking, but sadly this didn't make up the lack of welcome. I wouldn't normally post a poor review, but hoping that the feedback might highlight staff training issues!

Called in here for lunch as we were on holiday. Lovely light and airy shop and cafe and nice decor. Food was good but it was a shame the portions were very small for the price (£9.50 for 1 slice of sourdough, avocado and 1 poached egg albeit with a few other bits added) Flat white wasn’t quite up to scratch either, milk overboiled and just not how we like it. Also please change your paper menus to something more sturdy-they were dirty with food stains. Sorry to sound quite critical but hopefully some of the feedback is constructive as it really has potential and the food was lovely, just wish there had been a bit more!

A lovely place and the renovation looks great. We didn't have food, just coffee for take out. Took ten minutes and honestly one of the worst coffee's Ive had, very bad customer service and at an extortionate price. I just thought I’d try this place out and popped in. First thing I saw was a huge dog, however, since we are all expected to tolerate dogs I wasn’t deterred. I noted a female (short blond ish bob) milling around and talking to the dog owner. I then saw her petting and stroking it as I was deciding what to get to eat. Sadly, this female works there and went behind the counter to serve people. WITHOUT washout sanitising her hands. At that point I turned around and walked out. Won’t be back.
