It's wonderful - a great place to visit with friends and enjoy alongside a cheeseboard or pizza from the local stalls!

Thoroughly brilliant!! Have lived in the area for 20 years, but only get to Oxford now and again. A fantastic way to take in the full atmosphere of the covered market. Try independent, knowledgeable, stylish wine and ale bar. Thoroughly delicious wine with great advice …. And food from any other vendor at your table - what more do you need??? Came with friends and stayed on my own for another two hours.!!!!!!

Always guaranteed a good selection of wines to taste. I enjoy the flight of wines, which is very good value. Very friendly service - highly recommended!

The historic covered market hosts this great little wine bar. If you're doing your shopping and want a break or if you just like wine it's a great place to head for. Wine by the glass, bottle or find a new favourite with a tasting flight. We really like this place, and can thoroughly recommend it. If you fancy a beer instead (or as well!) Then you can enjoy these from the units either side! And the people who run the places are all great people, making it an even greater pleasure to visit these places in the historic Oxford Covered Market

We love this place! Always new wines to try-the flights are a great way to try different ones. Service with a smile every time and great knowledge of the products. You can even eat any food you buy in the market while you have a drink!!

A great selection of wines, either by the glass or as a tasting flight - the ideal chance to try a style of wine you have always wanted to try. There's no food but there's a great pizza available from next door which you can eat with your wine, or even try a beer from the other side at the Teardop. Lovely people who will make you very welcome and help you make your selections.

What a fantastic little shop. Stuart is clearly very knowledgeable in his subject and willing to help you choose exactly the right wine. The atmosphere sitting outside watching the world go by made for a lovely way to kill an hour or two. Highly recommended.

If you’re a wine-lover, you have to see Lu, Stuart, and their team at the Cellar Door. A massive selection of bottles, floor to ceiling, and some great ones on tap. If you don’t know what you’re looking for, they’ll help find just the right one! Can also bring over food from any of the Market stalls, have a seat and relax.

We have visited England several times but never on a Sunday. I've been so disappointed to miss their famous Sunday roasts. This season, we found ourselves in the Costswolds over a Sunday and I was excited to partake in this Sunday tradition. After a few internet searches, I stumbled upon an article in favor of the Chester Arms. It bragged about a long line around the block. We made a reservation months in advance. We found ourselves in the middle of an unassuming neighborhood. The restaurant was quaint and filled with locals. That being said, the best thing I can say about the restaurant is local convenience. The appetizers are middle Eastern inspired. You won't find Yorkshire pudding or any good gravies here nor any tender meat. The meat is flavorful but difficult to chew and beef is your only option. This isn't a type of place you want to go to for your Sunday roast but this may be the place you go to if you don't want to drive beyond your street.
