We had great time on NYE, great drinks by Joe, a fantastic bartender. Wonderful atmosphere for a date. We’ll come back every chance we get!

Absolutely delicious cocktails! Every mouthful was as good as the last. The bar is cosy and quirky and I loved the vibe and the music. Staff are friendly and attentive.

World-class cocktails, dark, alt/gothish setting. About £13 a drink; expensive, but worth it if you're after an experience.

On a trip full of menus of otherwise reputable places where the cocktail lists mostly comprise of margaritas, espresso martinis, and something with elderflower syrup, it was very exciting to find a place to feature such classics as The Last Word, a Sazerac, and a Vieux Carre. The ambience is dark and cozy with out being overly posh; low lights, dark walls, tastefully appointed. Their signature drinks we tried were creative riffs that were well balanced and not overly ‘tea time’ sweet like so many of the cocktails I’ve had on this recent trip. It was hard to pick one of the classic cocktails as the list features some of the best standards. A menu which by the way had two tiki offerings - pain killer & mai tai - something I have not seen a lot of on this or other recent trips, I didn’t try them but nice to see. I did enjoy the previous mentioned Vieux Carre which was served up vs over rocks - not sure I’ve had it that way but was still a great drink to end on. Definitely a “if I lived here I’d be a regular” spot.

Considering the price and size of the drinks, this place is a bit up itself for what they deliver, nothing especially amazing, not the world's most polite considerate service, expensive, comfy seats but could be cramped and loud

Went here with a couple of friends late last year. Fantastic selection of cocktails, the place reminds me of a very 1930s NYC bar. Also the reason why I'm doing a review now as opposed to last year is the absolutely amazing playlists they have playing at the place. I forget the well mannered man behind the bar, but he shared the Spotify playlist with me. I was listening to this while commuting in London and just reminded myself to go back to Lynrace.

Superb place for refined drinks

Rare to see a 5 star cocktail bar, but this one definitely is. Top tier service, great atmosphere and fantastic cocktails for a reasonable price. Cognac sazerac was out of this world

Great little place with great choice of drinks.

It's rare I write a negative review, but steer clear of this place. The decor is superb, the cocktails are great but the service is extraordinarily rude. I can't tell if it's arrogance or frustration, but the team treated us and others as if we were lucky to be allowed to drink here. They might be shooting for the rudest cocktail bar outside London award, in which case they would have my full endorsement. Try Freuds and Raouls down the road for ambiance, service and cocktails. And such a shame as someone has worked so hard to make the interior look good.

It doesn't get much cooler than this. Best cocktail bar in Oxford by a mile. Also, the music is absolutely on point, great job guys!

An authentically cool place I'm Oxford (which is actually hard to come by). Great cocktails, fantastic atmosphere, staff and service excellent. Looking forward returning.

This place is great! We came in to try on a Friday night (which is one of their busiest days!) and we were welcomed warmly by the staff and offered crackers and water while we chose our drinks. The staff were very talkative and friendly and were very accommodating to us. While it was quiet, we kept up conversation with the bar tender as he made our drinks for us and it kind of felt like talking to an old friend(?). The drinks themselves were amazing and really easy to drink, which I sometimes struggle with when it comes to alcohol. I couldn’t taste the sharp/bitter aftertaste of the alcohol in these cocktails. There also aren’t any ‘cheap’ spirit brands. They’re all artisan spirits from around the world. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Overall, this bar is the place to go if you want a friendly place with amazing drinks with friends. You will not be disappointed. (In the photo, there are two Gaudi cocktails and an apricot juice)

So excited that Oxford finally has a dedicated cocktail bar making drinks the right way. Everything we tried was expertly crafted, the service was attentive and the setting was classy and cool. Will def be back

Legit amazing cocktails! A bit pricey but definitely worth it. The service was 100% on point and happy to personalise the drinks to taste. It has a nice cosey atmosphere. Perfect for a date night.

A real gem. Exactly what you want in a top tier cocktail bar. Small, intimate but most importantly amazing cocktails. Made with care and craft. Staff were fantastic. Cannot recommend enough.

We came to this bar with high expectations due to pre-existing reviews and its speakeasy vibes. However, I am appalled by its poor crowd control and poor acoustics. It is as noisy and crowded as a pub! We have raised this to the bartenders who have soon relocated us to a quieter table. Despite the flaws, this is still a 5 star review because of the stellar bartending, and professional customer service.

This is by far the best cocktail bar you'll find in Oxford. Ask for recommendations, they love to experiment here. Only proper ingredients used. Enjoy!

Great cocktails and super nice interior design

This is a gem of a place. Intentional, curated and well-thought out cocktails served by a knowledgeable bartender. High marks for sleek decor while being accessible and friendly. Great ambience. Bonus: no shouting over unnecessarily loud music. New local favourite.
