We went for lunch for my Wife’s Birthday and both had fish & chips followed by chocolate brownie with ice cream from the Seniors menu. Well cooked,,very good value and sized just right for lunch .The pub had a Lovely Xmas atmosphere.

Poor quality and poor service. It’s a shame because we’ve been going here for years. The food’s never been outstanding but usually good, and the service is always good. This time it was awful. We ordered 2 Sunday duo roasts and 2 kids roasts at 16:50 and it arrived to the table at 18:10.. I would understand if they were busy but it seemed pretty quiet. When the food did arrive the duo’s weren’t much bigger than kids roasts despite being almost 3 times the price. The roast potatoes were missed. The cauliflower cheese didn’t come with the kids roasts and when queried she said it was because they’d ‘ran out’ which was a blessing anyway as it was reheated, rubbery garbage. There were 2 options for cuts of beef and we chose 2 different and when asked the waitress said they only did one. The beef was closer to leather, chewy and dry, some was inedible because it was so fatty. When we asked for a second gravy because the first wouldn’t go around 4 of us, the waitress seemed quite unimpressed. We ordered a kids meal deal that had a desert included which was forgotten until we requested this to go as we’d had enough of waiting around. We even asked the waitress for some kind of justification for the hold up, poor service and food and she said she didn’t know but that they had a quiz at 19:00, she wasn’t apologetic or seemed to care at all. Considering you have to pay as you order through the app I would expect a better guarantee of quality and since you place the order yourself I’m really not sure what the staff are doing with the free time not taking orders. We were going to book in for Christmas this year but after this I seriously doubt we’ll go back any time, never mind Christmas. Overall really disappointed.

Very nice 'pub grub' at a good price. I had the scampi and chips which was very tasty. A pleasant relaxing atmosphere.

Tired building. Half menu items not available. Those that were, poor indeed. Staff refused table service for drinks despite having nothing else to do. Green King however gave me a generous voucher which is commendable.

Amazing food and friendly staff, came for the first time last week and I loved it! if you sit in the beer garden there’s a lovely view of the sea as it’s right on the beach! Definitely recommend for a bite to eat and drink after a nice walk on the beach!

Had a lovely meal here at the beginning of October. Amazing views with the sea behind us as we ate. Staff were friendly and informative from the moment we entered and helped us with drinks recommendations and helped me to carry them back to my table. Food was delivered quickly and was hot and very tasty. We decided on a brisk walk along the beach to work off our food and even popped back in for a last drink on our way home. We will definitely be back 😊

Melissa & Jack served us, they were brilliant, really helpful and friendly. Every time we visit the staff are great. It’s good pub food which is tasty and affordable. It’s dog friendly at the very front part, with still great views of the sea. If I was to be critical, I would say the ordering system can be long winded, just one till for food and drink, so if you are just after a pint, you could be waiting for a person in front with a large food order. It also needs some care, as it’s a bit tired looking in parts, which is down to Green King. All in all though a great pub with even greater staff.

We visited the Marine Hotel as a Britstop customer. It was our first time at the Marine and the first time using a Britstop site. It couldn't of been any better, the staff were friendly, helpful and hardworking. The food and drinks were also superb. We stayed in the car park overnight in our motorhome and felt safe and secure in a great location. We shall definitely be visiting again.

This pub is lovely one of the best ones from our holiday in Hornsea. It's right on the sea front! Lovely views and drinks are reasonably priced. They just need a decent chef as the food is over priced and poor quality.

I was here sunday and Monday I bought 1 pint of san Miguel and a large Chardonnay wine both days I was charged £10.29 when we visited on Tuesday the price had increased to £12.79 for 2 drinks of alcohol we won’t be visiting again this is disgusting for 2 drinks of alcohol

What an unpleasant experience. A manager, I believe he was a manager, rude and unhelpful. As we were leaving the prmises not even bothing to purchase anything due to vacated diners tables full of dirty crockery, the manager shouted 'thanks'. Im local to this area and was my first and last experience of such a dirty and unfriendly establishment.
