Newly opened cafe in Teddington on The Causeway. Friendly service, excellent good and drinks. Just opened but a cut above most of the competition in the town.

I stumbled across The Maple Tree while travelling between jobs as a heating engineer in need of refuelling. Friendly staff (volunteers) who really care about customers and are proud of what they do. Fantastic food. I opted for a delicious mozzarella, tomato and pesto panini which was cooked fresh to order and served in a box with leafy salad, whole cherry tomatoes and topped off with ready salted ridge cut crisps. Followed by home made apple and mixed fruit slice and a cup of hot chocolate. I’ll be going again next time I’m in the area. A real treat. Thankyou!

Wonderful community cafe. Cakes (all homemade) and panini's are absolutely delicious. Donut Saturday is an absolute must for donut lovers.

Covid safe, well organised, attentive service. Had soup and a warm pitta bread followed by cake and coffee. Very good. Only downside is that the menu is limited at the moment.

Repton has succeed in build a brand new village hall. This has brought the village together first to raise the funds and now to run a friendly local cafe with home-style cakes and scone.

Beautiful cafe in the heart of Repton Village a historical place which has numerous footpaths in the village and amazing properties. I had gone for a walk around the nearby Calle Abbey estate, and their cafes were closed due to the weather. Based in the new village hall, I was warmly greeted by the volunteers, I can highly recommend you drop in and enjoy good friendly service.

Stopped off for a hot drink and cake while out on a family weekend walk. We had great coffee, hot chocolate and delicious home-baked cakes. Run by volunteers in the new village hall, The Maple Tree is fresh and welcoming with very reasonable prices (and they take card payments too)! This is a fabulous example of what a community can do when it pulls together. We will definitely make it a regular stop-off on future walks and will try to make it on 'Doughnut Saturday' next time.

A community run tea room in a brand new village hall. If you are in need of a hot drink and a cake this is the place to go. So reasonable, excellent quality and a friendly atmosphere.

We were just passing by, didn’t know about this place, popped in for a coffee and cake, very pleasant staff (who I think were volunteers) good choice of coffees (teas and soft drinks too) and cake. Found I didn’t have any cash, good job they had a card machine to pay which I thought was unusual in a small community cafe but a pleasant surprise

The Maple Tree - a vibrant little cafe in the new Village Hall in the centre of Repton. Great for coffee and superb teacakes, all at very reasonable prices. Will definitely return and make it a stop off when I am out walking in Repton.

Popped in here for a morning coffee and had one of the newly baked fresh scones with strawberry jam and cream served on lovely vintage china. All very cute and with a lovely warm atmosphere. Log burner crackling away. ❤️ there’s a small vintage gift shop attached. Only open on a Saturday.

The staff are friendly and it is a welcoming place. However, we chose it for Sunday lunch based on online recommendations. Firstly, it turned out the menu on line has not been updated to reflect new prices. And although no obligation to stay, when you've made plans with people it's not easy to up and go to a different venue at late notice. Unfortunately, food quantity and quality does not live up to the hefty price tag, with additional supplements should you chose beef (£4 on top of the already costly £26.95 for 2 courses). Since you only get 2 fairly thin slices, it's definitely not a matter of pay for what you get. To add to our increasing displeasure, one in our party paid a £3 supplement to try pork, chicken and beef. We wrongly assumed this would be like other venues in Derby and the supplement would mean extra meat. In fact, it's 1 think slice of each. I did raise this with the venue and requested they honour the online menu - especially since one meal had to be sent back after finding a hair in the pork. They agreed, but still charged £4 supplement for the beef despite that not being on the menu. To be honest, at this point we decided to pay and leave. Needless to say I would not recommend for Sunday lunch, though it's probably a nice place for a quick drink.
