Not been here since changed hands ... called on off chance ... food we had was fantastic ... inside is laid out well. Had to go and ask for our drinks to be done after order took .. was forgotyon about and only 3 tables getting ate at.. but overall will definatly go back .. fish and chips are great had puddings too . Really nice ..👍to the chef ... will be back

Myself and my family visited Manor Friday 10th November for my birthday meal, (8 of us in total) there was only us in the restaurant the whole night, our steaks was over cooked, I sent mine back (was inedible) I asked for medium rare, the whole table had finished eating and I’d still not got my meal, so I cancel it, I was told it was taking so long because they cook them in the “oven” we had to go and ask staff if we could have more drinks, they never cleared the table of any glasses, ALL the staff was sat around another corner ALL on their phones, it was terrible service, again only us in the restaurant, called last orders for drinks at 9:30pm, our booking was at 7:30pm, so we had to ring for a taxi, I don’t know how this business is still going, it’s such a shame because it’s very beautiful, and should be packed out, we will not be going back again.

Had a surprise 40th birthday meal. There were 30 of us and the staff were amazing and the food was lovely. Everyone enjoyed it. Would highly recommend The Manor. 5 stars!!!!

So me and my partner visited the Manor today and upon first impressions I was impressed with the cleanliness and decor of the restaurant. But unfortunately thats where the good points stop. I ordered a steak which come over cooked over seasoned and over priced. It was like it had been boiled and my plate was swimming in grease. My partner ordered the wagyu beef burger, her meal was also over cooked and the quality of the beef was nowhere near what should be expected of wagyu and tasted more like a fair ground burger. We don't normally leave complaints or reviews as we can't be arsed with the hassle usually. But this time we felt the standard of food did not live up to the price or quality expected. We wouldn't have minded if the restaurant was busy it would've been atleast some what understandable, but they were literally 4 people in the whole place. Will not visit again

What's happened!!!! Went for a cheeky Monday tea time treat, ordered fish and chips and 2 brisket....fish over cooked to the point of being burnt as well as the chips, returned. Replacement a little better but chips overcooked same colour as the table!!, both returned, partners beef a little tough, what's gone wrong?? No manager to see and waiting staff inexperienced said it's just the batter and is supposed to be dark, don't think so, golden yes, brown as the same colour as the table I don't think so. Would welcome a manager to comment as none available at the time... disappointed... UPDATE..... Been again to The Manor, a nice meal again good service, thanks for looking after us and the pudding for the step daughter.... Really would recommend "The Manor"...... A nice meal, nothing to moan about, had a nice few hours, certainly would go again... probably one of the better places in the Mexborough area..

Had my husbands 60th birthday meal here for 24 people and I would recommend this place to anyone. The meals were lovely and the service from booking it to us leaving was fantastic. All the staff were polite and really helpful and made us feel welcome.

We have attended a christening at Manor today. The service has been fabulous. I feel a special mention should go to KIAN as his pleasant, sunny personality has shown through, making the day even more special

Opens at 10 for food on a Wednesday? Father (who is a regular for breakfast) and I arrived at 10:15 and the door was locked! All the lights off. We checked the website and the sign on the door too, both of which indicated it was open!

I recently attended a wake here, it's the first time I had been since it changed from a 2for1 wacky warehouse establishment. I was pleasantly surprised. Beautifully decorated throughout. The food provided was absolutely fantastic. The staff were pleasant and polite and ensured everything was satisfactory for the family throughout the wake. Seems well run and well organised I think I may well return with my family for a meal

Called in today when there was a wedding on. Food had obviously been served before. Waited at bar to be served as the young lad didn't look interested. But got drink and asked for a menu. 20 mins later we ordered food, which sounded great. 5 mins later was told they weren't serving food until much later. Absolute shambles of organisation. Had to leave hungry and disappointed. Poor.

We went for a birthday celebration meal. The first time I'd been in 10 years plus. The decor looked good. The 16 of us were in a nice private area. Service was good. The bar was a little slow and out of stock of draft ale. Everyone's food was good quality, no complaints at all, several compliments. Good choice on the menu. I'll try this place again.

If you are prepared to spend a little more money on a sunday lunch and treat yourself and a loved one.. and or family/ special occasion, I really recommend Manor Farm..it has gone upscale (for those who have not been for a while..) amazing lunch..the only reason for not giving it 5 stars was the extra money to be paid for pigs in blankets n cauliflower cheese..but the cauli/cheese was just like clarified butter n melted cheese, not in a sauce..but a minor thing.. The staff were absolutely lovely n couldn't do enough to help..! gorgeous..THANKS..!!

This is a lovely place.Not sure if their was a shortage of staff but services a little slow .Most of the Meals were good but when 2 came out looked like a starter so small in a dish that was all side no bottom it looked like they had ran out and divided one meal between the two . It was mentioned when plates picked but nobody came to our table to even apologize..It was not very busy..Shame because the place and rest of meals were good ..If we had ,had some kind of acknowledgement l would have probably given 5 .an apology and acknowledgement would have been sufficient

Very poor for the price. Extremely overpriced pub grub. Got our order wrong and had to eat at different times. The lasagne was standard frozen stuff. Extremely standard food for a premium price. Staff were polite enough and the starter was nice but that's about it.

Enjoyed a 3 course meal last night. Plenty of space. Really nice interior which gives it a rustic, country feel. Great menu, excellent food and a caring team. Thanks guys. We’ll be back :)

This is worthy of 5 stars from me, we often forget about The Manor as it’s situated in Old Denaby and not on a main thoroughfare, however, once inside the decor is modern and spotless, the food has always been excellent pub food, it doesn’t pretend to be gastro but the food is excellent. Worth a visit

Great food at reasonable prices in a lovely setting.

This is my 2nd visit to this place inside a year and I was somewhat disappointed with my return compared to the first. we were a party of 14 and it was booked weeks before and on arrival they said they had no booking. Despite still having that call on my phone records it still was not listed. We did mange to get seated after a bit of humming and arhing and was told we will have a wait for food. The food was spot on as normal so no complaints but I was feeling a bit rough overnight with an upset tummy and that can happen when I eat a heavy meal which was fish and chips. A member of my party was very sick indeed and all the next day and he also had fish and chips. It is possible he just a had a bug which was coincidental. I put it down to co-incidence because the food here is very good but the non booking put me off from returning for a third time.

Friendly attentive young staff. Excellent food in a very well thought out and decorated high roofed dining g room. They even had real ale on hand pumps in such an up market establishment

The gardens are spacious for kids with a little park area at the top end. Clean washrooms...nothing negative to point out. A little country get away nestled between rawmarsh and Mexborough. More pubs like this needed 👍

Very disappointing :( came for our 1st wedding anniversary, waited 30 mins to have our orders taken (while other people had come in after and been served), then 35 minutes later the mains came out, despite the fact we'd ordered a starter that just never appeared. The lady who took our food order didn't even write the order down and had forgotten what I asked for before she even walked away so we didn't think it would come correctly anyway. Steak was cold and definitely not a decent quality rib eye. We decided to go home and get a takeaway instead after spending £60 on a horrible night. Other tables around us were also complaining and asking for their bills instead of staying.

We went for breakfast and it was spot on, You really couldn't fault it gor the price. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will recommend The Manor to all......😁👍

Below is what I wrote 4 years ago., today is much better, beautifully decorated, Pleasant environment, beautiful food. Only 1 tiny problem, i had a bone in my chicken burger which prevented me from eating the whole lot. Will be eating there again without a doubt... ... 4 years ago this happened.. had the worse food experience ever. Manor farm at old denaby. We fancied a Sunday roast. We waited around 45 minutes for it to arrive but both me and my partner had to send it back, what looked like days old (re heated) hollow roast potatoes that you couldn't even stab with a fork, dried out veg, which tasted microwaved, chicken that could bounce if you dropped it. ( clearly frozen, definitely not roasted ) and a yorkshire that would put aunt Bessie in her grave. Come on owners.. .this used to be a beautiful place to eat, people used to have to book in advance to get in. Now the car park is almost empty.

Burger, chips and a pint in the sun. What's not to like.

Well we got sat down and ordered our food shortly before we were told there would be at least a 30 min delay on the food as there was a party. However the restaurant was empty?? So after 45 mins my food turned up burnt and inedible and my friends food was microwave food with frozen chips. When I told them about this they knocked the price of my meal off the bill not the entire bill as nothing was eaten. Wouldn’t go back here again ever what a load of overpriced rubbish.

Been for lunch today will never return, the food was verging on inedible, pie of the day was a large piece of puff pastry on 5 small chunks of chicken, the mash was vile and beef gravy to go with chicken pie. Southern fried chicken burger with own recipe batter was two chicken breast (positive) miles too big for the burger bun but the coating was burnt and tasted funny. We both couldnt wait to leave the venue as we felt the food was that bad we wanted to just write this off as a bad experience so we asked for the bill told them our dissatisfaction and when the bill came i was shocked to see we had paid just under £4 for a pint of rola cola which wasnt drank due to it being rola cola and tasting cheap and tacky. We had a booking for later in the week which we have cancelled and will not be returning.

Very cosy. Nice place for a meal. Kids menu 7.5£ for adults around 12-15£ for a meal. Drinks 2-4£. Depends what you want. Friendly staff. Defo worth it to visit.

Very slow service through out the night... they asked us to pre book but it was still slow service and no one else was in tonight... lasagna was cold and garlic bread chips tasted like old oil. Steak was cheap steak and again chips tasted like old oil same with onion rings very disappointing will not be coming back again 😕

Although it was marketed as Steak Night there was only one sirloin steak at 7,00 The sirloin and rib eye was tough and gristly which was really disappointing Lots of gristle and fat

The decor is beautiful but we went for a family celebration of 16 people and had a half an hour eait for starters and then the sunday lunches were cold and tasteless making it dissapointing all round!

We had a meal at The Manor on Friday 28 January and wow it was out of this world the mushroom starter was beautiful i had the rib eye steak it was cooked to perfection my wife had the stroganoff which was also beautiful the place was clean tidy and the staff were so helpful and friendly will definitely be coming again 5 🌟 well done guys keep it up

Lovely venue and delicious food. Had starters and then the steak offer with a bottle of wine. Can't complain at that offer at all, will definitely be back. The wait was a bit long, service slow and there was only 3 tables in however waiting staff were very kind and had lovely customer service chat. Hoping will be quicker next time but it definitely hasn't put us off.

Went twice last week the interior is stunning food superb staff friendly, helpful and very attentive to there customers. We will definitely return. People must go and try for themselves I'm sure you'll not be disappointed. Also Wednesday's and Thursdays evenings they do 2 steaks with a bottle of wine for only £30 great value.

Had a lovely Christmas dinner. Although some people weren't to pleased with having to wait for the food, it came in a timely fashion, was really nice. Lovely staff, and giving the current situation, I think the staff did amazing 👍 Unfortunately, you just can't please everyone. Will definitely be returning.

Great food and fantastic, friendly service.

It's been the first time since me and my partner have visited this venue since it has changed from "Manor Farm" to what it's now known as The Manor At Old Denaby, unfortunately it's safe to say we'll not be returning. The decor is stunning but when you're sat trying to have a conversation and you're struggling to hear each other because songs like cotton eyed Joe are playing full blast like a school disco it ruins the atmosphere. Then there's the food, for the price you pay you're definitely not getting your moneys worth. My partner ordered gammon and egg and the egg was still snotty, I had the braised steak and potato pie the contents of which resembled soup more than it did contents of a pie. The only saving grace was the friendly staff.

Lovely food drinks and excellent service

I've been once so whilst happy with it, I'm reluctant to give it more than 4 stars at this stage. Great meal and good surroundings. Shame it was so quiet. However we were pleased with the meal and we are going again for our work Christmas meal later this autumn so hopefully that will give you the confidence to try this place out.
