Arrived on holiday to discover it was shut. It’s Good Friday- not the best start to a break. Awaiting the restaurants response.

Turned up at this restaurent after booking a table. We were visiting the area and the restaurent was CLOSED. As we were on an overnight stay, staying at the hotel next door with a disabled companion, had drinks at the bar so unable to drive to another place we were left having to source a takeaway. It's a shame as the menu looked amazing and was so looking forward to eating there. Get a grip I know its hard times but you can't offer a table and then be closed SHAME ON YOU

Just had dinner here for the first time tonight. A mix of hot & cold starters - all excellent. For the mains we had a Lamb and a Chicken - again excellent. Well looked after by the staff too. Would recommend.

As a huge fan of Lebanese food, visiting here for the first time was such a treat, the food was absolutely exquisite, it was presented beautifully, delicate and delicious. This place blows the bake out of the water with its quality. The service was fabulous too, the restaurant was clean, beautifully decorated (the ceiling mural is worth the trip alone), drinks were fresh and delicious!

We went here because it is the nearest restaurant to The Globe music venue (and the Arena), and we wanted a quick and simple meal before going to a gig. The meal was neither quick nor simple but I'm giving Alsham a five star review because the food was so good. The reason it took a while to come is because everything is freshly prepared ... and you could really taste that. We had four vegetarian dishes and each one was bursting with flavour. No alcohol is served but there is an excellent range of freshly made fruit juices. It was a warm evening and we sat outside (a rare opportunity in Newcastle) in a traffic-free street (also rare). We will definitely eat there again.

I had a wonderful experience at Hatem Restaurant in Newcastle! The food was absolutely lovely — full of flavor and beautifully presented. The highlight for me was the kanafa — it was truly amazing, perfectly crispy on the outside and soft, cheesy, and sweet on the inside. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Middle Eastern food with a warm, welcoming atmosphere!

Has apparently been closed for a few years now. I went to check today and there is only a sign remaining.
