Arlo is a wonderful barman and very helpful she pours a good pint of old mout cider

Really like this place. Good menu, priced well relatively speaking. Recommend Flat Iron Steak for you meat eaters out there

Great pub, always like to come here for a couple drinks with my mates. Got treated especially well by the bartender Michael who gave some great recommendations. Will definetly be coming back

Was in yesterday. Decent pub prices acceptable for the city centre. I felt the Tennents was too gassy. Ordered food which was ok. I would recommend popping in.

Myself and a group of friends attended the Maltman on Friday evening for a retirement celebration. We had an amazing night from start to finish and were well looked after by the staff, who were extremely customer focussed. There was an amazing atmosphere in the pub with great entertainment. We also enjoyed some sharing platters which were reasonably priced and very tasty including Nachos, Haggis Fritters with Peppercorn Sauce, Fish Goujons and Chicken Wings. Thoroughly recommend and we will be back!

Another great at the maltman food fab I had the steak it was well cooked and presented. Quick service and staff could not have been more attentive . Had a friend who has not been in in some years and she lived it seriously if you have not visited even for a drink do it

Needed a quick lunch, and found this place...it was pub grub. Nothing fancy, and it filled a hole. One of the meals was just like warm. It did the job, but did seem a great place to hang out.

We booked a table for food and drinks on Saturday 22nd June at 4pm. Karen was very helpful professional and looked after us very well. We had a mix up with our theatre time and had to cut our visit short. Karen and her team were very understanding and accommodating and even booked us another table to return to after the theatre. We had great food and drinks and felt very welcome and the service was above and beyond. I really appreciated the friendly team and would recommend this venue. Thank you Karen and team. You made our day.

This is a Greene King pub so you know that it's not out of the top drawer. However on the day that my group visited I could not fault the staff and they looked after us above and beyond. We visited on 19/06/24 and I can only compliment how well we were taken care of. Many thanks to the two young ladies who ensured that we had a good lunch.

Great pub. Not been in a few years but was there on Saturday afternoon to meet up with old workmates & had a ball. Good atmosphere, good tunes & easy to get served at the bar. Staff are friendly, so all in a good place to go. Going back in again today with my wife 😆

Booked the venue for an afternoon/ evening food and entertainment event for work colleagues as a celebration of our 25yr anniversary. The process of booking with Noeleen the manager was made so easy. The service on the night by the team and especially Bee who was so professional. The food well compliments to Dylan the chef, the volume served was impressive more than we had anticipated but everyone enjoyed, my favourite was the halloumi a must try if you visit. We would certainly recommend for any group bookings looking for good food, some nice drinks, good music and a relaxed atmosphere.

A reasonable pub. We went there to watch a game and the best thing about the pub is the staff. Extremely helpful and kind. The food is sort of rubbish, but we only ate because we were hungry and the footie was on. Which suited us. Wouldn't actually go there specifically for food. But in general always a good pub for footie/sports and the staff always helpful.

Popped in yesterday for a meal after the theatre with my son and daughter-in-law... we all got the Steak Pie, they chose the Mash, myself choosing the Chips... Tasted amazing! The friendly, quick and efficient service from Bar-staff, to Waiters, to Kitchen Staff to ensure we had a pleasant visit was second to none... We will be back... 🙂

We booked the mezzanine level for a large party for dinner and drinks. Staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. All the food was lovely as were the drinks. We were very impressed with the price of everything. We stayed longer than anticipated as the DJ was playing hit after hit. Great night, will definitely be back!

We always enjoy our city breaks to Glasgow and a visit to the Maltman is mandatory! The atmosphere is great with lots of TVs for sports and depending on the time of day you go there is music too! The staff are always lovely and Karen is always so attentive each time we visit! Looking forward to our next break in the summer and to visit the Maltman again!

Great food, lovely pints, plenty of tv’s.

The service and beer was good, but the steak sandwich was on untoasted grocery store white bread, was under seasoned, and the rocket salad that came with it was gritty (although it had a good flavor). There was also no sport being shown on the TVs, just live updates of all the games we weren’t watching.

Nice place in the city centre, wide selection of drinks, keen prices and one of only a handful of pubs in the city centre that showed the 6 nations rugby matches. Well worth a visit.

Even from the outside the pub looks inviting with its beautiful navy blue front! As soon as you walk in the door, the atmosphere is very jovial - I've been in a few times and the place is always decorated for the occasion! Be it some flag buntings or other, it's the little touches that make a place more welcoming. The service at the bar was quick, with them pointing me in the right direction of a very picturesque booth. The addition of movable back cushions is a fine touch for a pub establishment! We were a group of 6, and so a nuisance to cater for when it comes to food ordering, but the food arrived in a timely fashion, and perfectly cooked across the boards. It was extremely lovely of the server to also let us know that a portion of chips was not far behind (super servers are still only able to carry so much!). With a few check ins to make sure everything was okay from separate staff, the atmosphere is one which highlights there is true care from those who work here. The manager also came over to say Hi, which showed even more that the Maltman cares for its patrons, and was seen mingling with patrons at multiple tables. Nothing is more down to earth than seeing someone involved with the people who pay a visit. If this wasn't enough of a review, I thought it especially thoughtful that on the menu there was an option to order 'an invisible mac and cheese' to promote and contribute to the charity the pub sponsors. In case its not obvious, this pub is definitely worth a visit! Or multiple if you are me!!

All around great service. Had lunch here and had the fish and chips. The staff were always accommodating and happy to be of service. I was served by Arlo and have no complaints. Made sure I was enjoying my meal and that I had all that I could want to accompany it. Lovely atmosphere here with televisions all around to be entertained while eating or drinking, even on your own. 10/10, would definitely come again and recommend to friends and family

I went here for a quiet night out and was pleasantly surprised by the excellently decorated pub and incredibly polite bar staff. Arlo served us drinks and was very helpful in recommending different wines for us to try, all while being very friendly and welcoming.

We were served by fantastic bar staff member Arlo they were very friendly, welcoming and very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely come back with a group of friends on a night out highly recommend Arlo who took the order for our meal and drinks and was very patient and helpful while we took a while to decide. The fish was fantastic. My mother said 'it was the best piece of haddock I have ever had'. It was beautiful. The batter melted in the mouth as did the fish. Thank you.

In to watch the football with friends. Great atmosphere with big TVs and great sound, staff are lovely. Food was great too. Would recommend. Definitely be back.

Attended for a working dinner and found the staff to be very accommodating and pleasant and professional. The seating area provided was clean, warm and allowed us to discuss in a safe space. The food arrived well presented warm and very tasty. The cost of the food was very good and I would highly recommend this as a venue for either business or pleasure. Will be back next month for a different event thank you to your staff and manager for making our visit pleasant

Stopped here for something to eat with the family. The food was very delicious and not one of us in our group had any complaints. Staff were also very friendly. Will definitely be back in again some time soon. Keep up the good work!!

Was in here the other day playing the gambling terminal near the door what a complete scam £200 for the bonus to hit on 50p stake and it pays £2.50... Eye of horus mega ways what a scam and a joke I told the Co manager to his face it was bang out of order the Co manager I put 300 into that machine that was 1000% scammed me least to say I am very annoyed and the manager doesn't deserve your business he would want EVERYONE to go broke on his machines! Ive actually been starving for two days last meal I ate was macdonalds Wednesday night at 11 becuase of this horrendous multiple bonuses.... (like 5) but none of them paid what they should.

Spent Saturday night in the Maltman. The atmosphere you want in any pub. The place was really busy, the soundtrack was excellent and not too long to wait at the bar to get served. Everyone in our party who had food really enjoyed it. Very close to central station for the train.
