Drygate in Glasgow City

What an amazing first experience at Drygate. First off, from entering the building I couldn’t help but notice just how clean and maintained the outside space was. Usually with other bars around town there’s rubbish and cigarettes everywhere but nothing like that here at all. In entering the building I was greeted by staff who got me to my seat really quickly, they even gave us a small booth area which was ideal as I had my dog with me. The view from the tables was also amazing as you had a clear view into the brewery. I wasn’t sure on which beer to get but the staff gave me some recommendations and every single one was 10/10. I was served exceptionally quick despite it being busy and they even got my dog some water and made a fuss of her which was lovely. Also the music was outstanding. Lots of 60s, 70s and 80s along with some new songs but a really good mix for all ages. Can’t wait to come here in the summer, they have such a big outdoor area, upstairs and downstairs. They also do functions such as weddings, birthday parties etc and I truly believe this place would be amazing for functions like this, they even have customer parking which is a bonus with it being so central. I’m really glad I passed this place and took a chance, especially with my dog as I had no idea this place was dog friendly so it will definitely be my new place to go when I’m out walking her. They also have a cute little gift shop which I thought was a great touch. Lots of good items to purchase at good prices. I’m also an NHS worker and they do bluelight discounts which is ideal after a tough shift in the hospital. Not many places offer this discount so it’s really good to see. Thanks again to all the staff at drygate for a great experience. Will most definitely be back.

We celebrated my niece's wedding at the Drygate. The bride Elisa is italian and the groom, Robert is scottish. Many relatives and friends came from Italy. The wedding ceremony also took place there. I tank the wonderful organization of the brewery, it couldn't have been better. Everything was as we wished. A special thanks to Miss Dany! COMPLIMENTS TANK YOU

We popped in for a light lunch and a pint while exploring the east end of the city. What a delightful place! The small plates (fish tacos and Cullen stink) were superb as was the unfiltered lager. Service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!!

I recently had lunch at Drygate Brewing Co., and it was an all-around fantastic experience. I ordered the Steak Sandwich, which came with chargrilled rump steak, caramelised beer onions, Swiss cheese, pickles, and peppercorn mayo, all served with perfectly seasoned fries. Every bite was delicious, with the steak cooked to perfection and the flavours all working beautifully together. I paired the meal with The Duke, a Nitro Stout, and it was an absolute winner—a rich, creamy, and balanced stout that instantly became a favourite. The atmosphere was lovely, with the added bonus of being able to see directly into the brewery from the seating area, which gave the place a unique and authentic vibe. The service was attentive and friendly throughout. Located in a great spot, Drygate Brewing Co. is the perfect place for delicious food, excellent drinks, and a great ambiance. I’ll definitely be back🍻

If you're looking for craft beer in Glasgow, I highly recommend this place. You can drink various types of draft beer, and the food is delicious! ! The inside of the store is spacious and the interior is stylish ♫ The fish and chips were also delicious ♫

Great working brewery. Had a taster with 4 thirds. My fav was the Voller Weizen! A little funk on the nose, some floral notes, and a good body. Cool space, too.

Drygate is a great place to go if you’re in the east of the city, handy for High Street train station & also just a hop, skip & jump from the Royal Infirmary (I wish they were here when I worked there!) Nice beer, lovely food and they now serve cocktails! Yas. Dog friendly too and for those not drinking they have parking on-site as well.

Who writes good reviews? Disgusting! The chips are dry, in old oil with crumbs! The Cook puts his hands on the plate in front of his eyes, then wipes his hands on his pants. The fish is not fresh in dry dough, soaked in old oil. Sorry for the money! Avoid!

Great rooftop beer garden in Dennistoun with unpasteurised Tennents on offer. Loads of varieties of beers on offer here, and tonnes of outdoor and indoor space.

Went here on Sunday to see Paul Gemmel and what a fantastic night of blues Paul and his band great entertainment 👌 Bar staff are friendly welcoming nothing was a issue. Unfortunately never had food. Definitely be going back 😊

Fish and chips was a bit greasy.

Brilliant place although they only sell their own alcohol produced on site. If you want a brand name alcohol this is not the place for you. If you are up for trying what they have to offer it’s a definite must.

We stopped by for a beer and a quick bite. I really enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere and the nice service. The beer selection is phenomenal!! You can see part of the brewery from the restaurant, which is really cool.

Visited on Saturday for lunch as a party of 14 and everything was fantastic. Staff really friendly and helpful and the food was delicious and served quickly. We had a lovely time celebrating our engagement, thanks to all the staff for making our day special!

Called in with my family and dog on a Saturday night. We were all thoroughly impressed with the service, food and of course, the beer. Plenty of vegetarian options. The restaurant/brewery is a beautiful place to spend some quality time. Great stopover when travelling through Glasgow.

Did the brewery tour which was good. Not a fan of the Drygate beers. There was a fiddle band playing during lunch on a Sunday which was miserable, couldn’t talk to the people beside me.

Beer paradise! This place is a must if you’re in Glasgow! There’s a large choice of beer on tap that they brew themselves and everything that I tried tasted fantastic. I recommend getting a flight of 1/3s so you can experience a good specter of what they make. Special mention to the 7 peaks, my favorite! Food is also pretty good, staff is fantastic and the place is big, with a terrasse and everything. Prices are pretty reasonable, especially with the student discount!

Great place to have some lunch with a beer! We liked the food but the shwarma was too spicy in my opinion. We both had the alcohol free draught beer, which I can definitely recommend!

Pleasant surprise, after the experience of Edinburgh, (not expensive, the following) we found a place where the quality-price ratio is unbeatable, 10 treatment, possibility of doing beer tasting, very varied and very well prepared food, Ricki attended us and the treatment was 10. Totally recommended.

Beer brewery. Ate and drank. The table was sticky. The staff was not very friendly except for the young man who helped us nicely. Beer was tasty. Food was way too salty and not very tasty unfortunately.

Love it here, always great service. Also a handy location for me. Staff are mostly lovely, however I visited this evening and when I was in the middle of being served by a nice young lady one of the chefs started shouting at her and talking to her like dirt hence the 1 star taken off.

Wanted a pint and a nibble, found the Drygate Brewery on Google Maps, near where we were, walked down past the Cathedral and Necropolis. lovely pint of IPA brewed here, and a cider, Orchard Pig we see in Somerset. I had Bao buns with pulled pork. My wife had chips. Both most enjoyable. Quick service too. Lovely sunny day so we sat outside. Atmosphere, I can imagine it can be brilliant, but on a Tuesday lunchtime, when University is out, quiet. Would use it again anytime, but we live far away in South West England. Of

Large beer selection, very tasty beers! The service was friendly and gave us good advice, a little tip: take the Flight of the Day and try it out. The shop is beautifully decorated and invites you to linger!

Had a delicious lunch in this cozy brewery

Seriously one of the best microbreweries I've been to. The food is sublime and the beer divine. Their Nightmare of Cake is one of the best pastry stouts I have ever had.

We only stopped for a little drink after a walk in the cemetery just above. Lovely brewery. Friendly staff who helped us choose a few beers to try. The food looked good, though we didn't get any. Indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly.

Food and service impeccable. Tried their beer flight of the day nice lager and interesting fruity beer flavor. Had the fish chips, steak, burger and truffle fries. Softs were refillable and some of this were part of the 12pounds lunch set. So worth it! The staff were really nice, attentive and friendly.

Obviously a wide selection of their own brews, including specials. Enjoyed the Bovril stout on my last visit. They also have guest beers and a fairly decent selection of wine/spirits. Food is typical pub grub really, but that’s no bad thing, portions are generous, prices are fair and food is well presented. Ideal for large groups I’d say- something for everyone.

Whenever I visit Glasgow I always make sure I visit Drygate. Love this place.

This is my first meal in Glasgow trip I have to say that I really love their Seabass, it is perfectly done Also, their craft beers are so awesome, I really want to try/buy it all, unfortunate I can’t. Seven Peaks and Disco are my favourites, you should also try the sours Please make more cans beer and then I can buy it back to Hong Kong and share with my friends

Great selection of beers and cocktails on offer, even some non alcoholic options for the non drinkers. Menu had good options of small and big plates (we ended up having small plates as starters, unsure if that’s how it was intended). I had to burger which was OK… but the chips were good (I added garlic or soothing along those lines). I finished with the ‘cookie dough’ which was a bit disappointing, it was just a cookie that had been warmed up and covered with ice cream and Nutella? Ended in the upstairs bar which has a cracking balcony for sunny days, would go back for drinks not sure I would return for food.

Food was good, service just took a bit longer but ok with that since the food was fresh, atmosphere good as long as you like a kind of dark, rock music atmosphere 😆 mu 2nd time there because we can take our dog and we're planning on going back again. Really great place and if it's sunny you can sit outside. I had the hotdogs, really enjoyed it.

Nice brewpub with a large and varied beer selection. They also offer flights for those who want to sample different beers. I enjoyed a fruit gose and my partner had a mango IPA.

Surprisingly large venue with parking. Very large selection of drinks available and a good food menu. A little bit on the pricy side given the location, the poutine needs work.

A little out of the way but a wonderful surprise

Oh what a perfect wee find. We stumbled upon this place when we attended a wedding fayre. The food was fabulous, so well presented we had other customers ask what we had, then ordered the same. Roll on the next visit

Fantastic food. Get the poutine 100%.drink of course was top class. The waiter was friendly and very accommodating to our large party.

We went for BBC radio show great venue, super selection of draught ale,brewed on site.

Whilst the atmosphere of the place was great, on ordering a coffee at the bar was met by absolute distain by the bar person, who said she could do it but "had to go away down stairs to do it". Then a short time later when ordering another hot drink, I was told to order them all at once. disappointing to feel like you're getting in trouble when trying to spend your money. Would have stayed for a few more drinks had it not been for the poor attitude of the one bar staff that served us. Can't speak for the rest of them, but won't be back.

Had a spontaneous beer tasting. The staff tried very hard to explain everything despite the language barrier. The poutine was very tasty.. worth it

My friend and I popped in yesterday, the small plate we were served was miniscule, the roast vegetable tart could have done with the addition of some cheese to lend taste and texture. The coffee we were served was cold, not quite the way it should be enjoyed. The saving grace was the warm gingerbread pudding which was delicious. Don't think we'll be back

Went here to celebrate a friends 50th and watch the rugby. Staff were friendly and attentive to our large group, food was delicious and the beers were pretty fantastic also. Highly recommend a visit here.

What a place! Stumbled upon it by accident after walk in the Necropolis. Beer was amazing but food was godly. All the compliments to the chef and staff. Loving the industrial interior and open windows to the still. Great background music too- indie bangers. Perfect end to a perfect day.

Only came here for a Celtic Connections gig with Kathryn Tickell. The music was great - the reason it's not one star - but as a venue for this gig it was totally unsuitable. And was it really necessary to have our tickets checked three times?

The food was fantastic. The staff were probably the best thing about the experience, they deserve large pay increase. That atmosphere was thinner than the moons, I think the table service even for just drinks is a terrible idea. A great part of going to a bar is, going to the the bar and chatting to the stranger next to you, who then 10 years later could be your boyfriend or best man at your wedding. Table service even for drinks only tables just adds extra work to already overworked FoH staff. You will never the lazy overpaid and mostly useless higher ups do things like that. If the FoH staff aren't being given an even cut of the profits based upon hours worked then they are being stolen from by their bosses. The higher ups at tenants, drugate and c&c are nothing but thieves, they should be deeply ashamed of themselves. This level of theft deserves a punishment that we have stopped using in UK.
