This is without doubt the best Chippy in the area. Ok so you have to order the fish upon entry and wait but at least you know it's freshly cooked. The fish is pure white and the batter is light and crispy. All cooked in dripping ! Really friendly staff ! 10/10

There aren’t many chip shops left that cook them the old-fashioned way, with beef dripping. The fish is always fresh and there is a board that tells you exactly where it was fished and what ship it came from which is very reassuring to most customers. The staff there are more than friendly and polite and never fail to put a smile on your face. We visit quite regular and will likely continue to do so.

Fish cooked to order in beef dripping, chips were good and the pies are from Rob Royd, a cut above the usual chip shop pie. Only negative would be the regular fish wasn't that big, may need to shell out for a large fish if you're feeling really hungry. Friendly staff as well.

The food was ok nothing amazing but fine. The guy serving was very friendly and welcoming. Everything looked clean. Perhaps a little expensive, but I would go again if I was in the area.

Recently opened, very welcoming staff, and well prepared food. A varied menu giving lots of choice. The source /supplier of the food is displayed on a board. Slightly higher prices than others ,but worth it for the quality food. We had the large cod, chips and mushy peas. We recommend a visit.

This place is seriously good. In 40 years of eating out I had the best Thai curry ever here. The restaurant was previously known as Munjacks but it's under new ownership and the place itself has had a lovely makeover. The chef knows what she is doing, beautiful flavours, generous portions and great service.Starter prices from £1.75 to a mixed starter for two at £9.95.Stir, noodle and fried rice dishes as well as curries so plenty of choice.Mains are priced between £4.80-£5.90 with special a bit more.I will be back very soon

The Best! ❤ We have been coming here for years. Lakis Fish Bar offers a variety of food and each one is cooked to perfection. We have never ever had a bad experience here. The family is lovely and very down to earth, this really shows in the atmosphere once you walk in. We highly recommend them to everyone. From everyone at Drive 2 Learn, thank you very much for looking after us. 😊

This is my new favourite chip shop! My local closed temporarily and I was forced to look further afield for my bi-weekly fried fish fix. Unfortunately for my local I now chose to drive past to go to Y-Pas. I particularly like the cod special, the batter is light and crisp and the fish as I remember it as a kid. The chips are veggie friendly and gluten free too in case that is your thing.

A spotlessly clean shop selling really nice fish and chips. Served by efficient and friendly staff, who shared a joke whilst remaining professional. I will definitely return.
