really nice and tasty food, super friendly staff and just a wholesome vibe. would recommend the chicken tikka, so yummy and catered for an allergy easily

I've been going for 40 years and it's still the best tasting Indian food in Preston. That's why it's the oldest Indian restaurant in Lancashire. Tell Ven what you want and he'll make it to your strength and taste

I’ve read the reviews and went with an open mind . I was pleasantly surprised by the food served . 3 friends also commented that the food was excellent . I think possibly they have changed the chef as this is much better than when I went a year or two ago , food was piping hot and the bill was very reasonable , definitely a good stop on your way into town for a night out !!

Excellent all round service. With a Warm, welcoming, friendly atmosphere. I've been dining here for over 38 years and it's still the best place in town for an Indian Meal. Highly Recommended

Called here "again" under the influence and desperate for food as for some reason the majority of curry houses in Preston have called it a day.... all I can really say is that my food was edible to say the least.,.. owners fine, service ok, BUT I have no idea what I actually ate... I know what I ordered but not what I ate... I recall ordering a lamb dish, but since when has lamb been a white meat ?? the sauce was some gloopy substance.. all of my mates were of the same opinion as we walked home... thank got we were drunk...

I tried many Indian food places in Preston, this one is just the best. Glad they open again after lockdown. Just delicious!

Called in with a group of mates on a trip down memory lane... this used to be the best Indian in town... sadly its lost its mojo... in 1996 on a Saturday night this place would be packed... sadly not in 2019... we were the only ones in there at 11pm....the food we edible but nothing special and it was also a cold room... the toilets have seen better days... I suspect that this place needs a revamp and badly..

Great place, one of the last curry houses in Preston, end of an era. Use it or lose it as they say :))

I have never had a worse curry ever . Ive had better rubish takeaways . We complained to the owner who accepted the criticism but his girlfriend didnt like it nor her friend . We ended up arguing with them as they thought we were wrong to tell them it is the worst indian in preston . The food is all microwaved the onion bhajis were full of grease and tasteless . Dont waste your money here .

Comimos aquí muchas veces la comida es absolutamente fantástica y el servicio es puntual y eficiente. Alas de arranque tandoori son para morirse y el currys una insuperable. No comimos mal todavía. Excelente!

I visited on a Sunday evening and was the only customer in the restaurant. The waiter was very welcoming and took my order quickly. A coke, lamb biryani and plain nan bread cost £10.55. The coke was sadly flat, though I was pleased to get a free poppadom starter. The lamb was nice but the curry was more like a soup. The plain nan was very bland. I would visit again but would chose a different meal

Not brilliant, not amazing but not rubbish. Cheap enough Old school Indian serving up dishes to those a little bit worse for wear. I have had many worse curries than this, so it remains a plus and it was relatively cheap and the food was edible enough

This place never fails to deliver! The food is very tasty and well prepared, with a large variety of dishes. The management courteous and polite, atmosphere is nice and relaxed, the pricing is also reasonable too. In addition, this restaurant has received a 5-out-of-5 hygiene rating recently [March 2014], so you have peace-of-mind whilst you dine. All-in-all, a good place to have your favourite curry.

We visited this restaurant in the early hours of Sunday Morning 23rd March 2014 as we were visiting Preston. We ordered our meals a chicken shaslik, chicken madras and a chicken vindaloo along with two of our party ordering an English meal. The shaslik was not brought on a sizzling pan. The chicken in the two curries seamed like it was boiled and the curry sauce had a strong gravy flavour. The pilau rice was dry and looked like it and tasted like it had been microwaved on several occasions. The Peshwari nan was covered in grease and was poor as was the keema Nan. We have an Indian every week in our home location being a take away or in a restaurant. I felt I had to place this comment because it was so poor and an absolute waste of money

Firstly this is the first time I have felt compelled to write a review on somewhere I have eaten. We visited on the early hours of New Year's Day on a recommendation believe it or not. The atmosphere was none existent and the food was horrendous, I honestly think they rely on the fact that most people get smashed and don't bother about the quality of the food. We also ordered a side plate of chips that we were promised every 2mins but had to cancel as we had finished our sub standard curry. There were a few other things wrong with the meal/service that was brought to the waiters attention but he couldn't have been less interested if he had tried. The only think that saved the experience was the plate of After Eight Mints at the end. Avoid like the plague.
