Friendliest people above all! So rare in these times of order via computer. Fantastic customer service. Prices are extremely reasonable, considering we are in a "cost of living crisis". Great value for money. As well as this, the takeaway gives very generous portions. This takeaway values their customers and gives you exactly what you need, specifically. And always has a smile for every customer. 10/10 TOP TAKEAWAY!

We use this Chinese regularly and we've known this family for 18years now. The food these guts make is first class, service is second to none and they are very friendly too. Hot and sour soup, spare ribs, special fried rice and curry sauce..... Wow!** UPDATE **THEY DON'T DELIVER ANYMORE WHICH IS SAD. WE LIVE 3 MILE OR SO AWAY AND PARKING FOR THE CHIP IS HIT AND MISS SO WE'VE HAD TO GO ELSEWHERE🥺. I'LL MISS USING THESE GUYS**

Top chippy,much needed Sausage ,chips and curry sauce on a very cold Saturday night. Short 7 min walk from Preston Station. Would fully recommend to any passengers who need to wait for their train and have time to get a nice chippy tea.

As always a great service very friendly guy but unlike the last time I had fish and chips from here it was very greasy and the fish seemed like its been frozen for a long time. It smelt strange and tasted bland.

Everything about it amazing the two staff there are incredibly nice and never in my life have they got any order wrong.oversized portions great prices and happy to serve a great small business like this.

Lovely lady served us. Chef also very friendly. Ordered king prawn fried rice and really pleasantly surprised. Got so many large prawns and the food wasnt greasy.

Chippy that delivers! Plus amazing shredded beef with chilli.

Not much of a review to give this takeaway justice as I order the same meal everytime salt and pepper chicken wings, salt and pepper ribs + hot and sour soup. Always made and prepared perfectly and very tasty never disappointed and owner very pleasant too.

Ordered chicken szechuan with chips which is £6.00. After about 5mins later I said can you substitute the chips with salt and pepper chips and the guy said yes. Now salt and pepper chips is £2.90 now normal chips is £1.80. The difference is £1.10 so i should be charged £7.10 but got charged £8.90 so £1.80 more. If he would have said we don't do substitutes then I would have ordered separately and could have got an extra chips for the same price. What a RIP off in this economic climate 🤨

I’ve just moved to Preston, and it is really hard to find a nice takeaway in a new area! But what a brilliant find this was! Absolutely love Fortune House! From the quality of the food, service to the price. It’s great! My one abs only takeaway. Great food, served piping hot, quick service, able to park outside (bonus) and all for a affordable price! Keep it up Fortune House!

Easily one of the best Chinese restaurants in Preston. Staff are always friendly and helpful, food is always amazing. Try the salt and pepper ribs. Just be prepared to collect your food, but it's worth it.

I live up the road from this takeaway and always ordered online from Just eat or uber eats. What a shame this takeaway does not deliver because the Food is how it should be cooked absolutely delicious. I always order the same food :- Salt and Pepper chicken wings, salt and Pepper Spare ribs and hot & sour soup once a week as a treat. Tried a lot of takeaway restaurants in Preston and nothing has come close to this cooking Perfection. Nice friendly staff with exceptional food in my opinion. Will definitely from now on Walking for my food rather than be delivered.

Tried a Chinese dish. Was ok. Couple of nights later thought I’d go for the ‘fresh’ fish and chips. Absolutely horrible! The ‘fish’ was one of those oblong shaped frozen things that you can buy from Farmfoods for £1.50 for a pack of six. Never again

We always travel from Leyland to this Chinese well worth going they used to own happy house many years ago and was good then we always order special fried rice chicken chow mein beef chow mein without vegs and we all enjoy

We placed an order by telephone which was delivered approximately 20 minutes later. Food was excellent quality as always, especially the salt and pepper ribs. Free delivery and always quick service.

It was probably 15 years ago that I first visited Fortune House, having moved nearby. It was so friendly, and the food was so good, it became a firm favourite. 15 years later we are probably on the move again in 2020 so I thought I’d take the opportunity to say thanks on TA. In all those years, we have never ever had a bad meal. The quality is consistently good, and whilst we’ve tried a few others, we always return to our favourite. Firm favourites are the chicken curry, special fried rice and shredded Chicken with spring onions. if you’re super hungry go for the sweet and sour chicken balls, which is a challenge for even the biggest appetites. Prawn crackers are always light and fresh. I was surprised to read some disappointed opinions about delivery. I can’t remember waiting over and hour, and typically it’s half and hour to 40 minutes for our delivery. We will be too far away for delivery but I hope we still get to visit every now and again. Goes without saying this is my favourite Chinese takeaway.

Ordered crispy beef and noodles, which is my favourite so disappointed when opened it more burnt beef than crispy beef tasteless sauce and dry noodles luck warm noddles it was so awful worse Chinese takeaway I have had ever, I took it back the extremely abusive chef started ranting and totally refused to give a refund. what a waste of money certainly won't be returing again

Always go to the fortune house whenever we want to have a treat. And they now have potato scallops brilliant love them. Try them on a tea cake. And dip in gravy or curry sauce love it. You have got to try them best I’ve ever had.

Excellent 'chippy', I ordered fish and chips (traditional, I know😀) which was delicious and served with a smile by the well-friendly and chatty owner. I enjoyed the fish and chips at the side of the River Ribble after completing the Guild Wheel cycle ride, It was the end of a perfect day, I suggest you try it! After having many Chinese takeaways from foutrune this was by far the worst we have had. The chicken chow Mein was as dry as the Sahara desort, The ‘BBQ’ ribs well I’m sorry they were not BBQ ribs. The sauce tastes like it had been sat around for days. When I spoke too them they said well this is what we have been selling all night... No sorry nothing and put the phone down on us. After spending £30 I guess the prawn crackers were alright. Everything else thumbs down will not be going back again. Once you have had a bad meal/service it puts you off.

Just round the corner so very convenient but I never cease to be disappointed by the lacklustre quality of the food. Edible but only as a last resort.

I recently ordered from here as my local Chinese was closed. What a surprise. Ordered 2 special King paos and fried rice and it turned up in 20 minutes. We both cleaned our plates! It was just over £11 delivered with free prawn crackers. Will definitely try here again! Hell I might order one tonight!

First went to Fortune House over 10 years ago when we moved to the area and it was well located on the way home from work. We normally use the delivery service these days, which is always good and the time they say is the time you get. I have to say I do sometimes miss calling in as it’s so friendly. We were wondering last week how many times we have ordered. It must be a couple of hundred times. We have never had a bad meal in all that time. Everything is consistently good. We always go for the Chinese menu. Crispy chicken with spring onions is always a favourite but there’s nothing we’ve ordered I’ve not liked. Far better than anywhere you can order from the likes of Just Eat in the PR1 area. Looking forward to the next 10 years. Thank you.

tried this 2wks ago. this is the best chinese food i.ve ever had. we got sweet and sour chicken balls (we got 15 chic balls) egg fried rice and chicken chow mein. the sweet and sour chicken balls were big and crispy the sauce was ace and the chow mein seem like it was dry stir fried and wasnt wet and slimey like some chow meins. portions huge. fed 3 of us. i collected my order staff were lovely and friendly. my only disappointment is they dont deliver to my area holmeslack 😢

Staff are friendly had fish and chips from hear. it was alright but not good batter for fish, was bland and soft. chips were good. Its now the next day and the household who had the fish and chip, have all got stomach problems. so we wont be having the fish again.

Angry that I didn't try this place four years ago when I first moved here! Seriously, the best fish & chip place I've ever been to, not even tried their Chinese menu yet but looking forward to it. Staff are polite and friendly, the only problem I've encountered is they don't take card payments and the Newsagents next door (which is the nearest cash machine within a quarter of a mile) has weird opening times.

Can't fault this place always go for the salt and pepper chicken big chunks of battered chicken with plenty of onions and chilli spice. Also the battered chicken balls with BBQ sauce are a must, bigs pieces of succulent chicken and a lovely crispy yet soft Yorkshire pudding type batter. Delicious would highly recommend.

Siempre me pide de fortune house y me encanta la comida, mi orden es siempre dulce y agria pollo y pato crujiente. Sin embargo, cada vez que llame me explican que tengo una alergia grave y siempre asegurarte que la comida que pedimos es la tuerca gratis. Cuando llamé para pedir mi comida durante el fin de semana me explicó de nuevo sobre mi alérgia ya que siempre lo hago, y me dijeron que no me podían servir el pato crujiente ya que tiene frutos. Afortunadamente yo no he efectuado por la tuerca en el pato ingredientes antes, pero este es muy preocupante cuando he estado comiendo por meses y se haya tranquilizado es tuerca gratis. No estoy seguro de que un pedido de fortune House de nuevo.

Just the best Chinese takeaway in preston. Lovely tasty food .The chicken curry and fried rice is amazing and also the chicken chop suey is a personal favourite. The chips are the nicest aswell ,never dry.

Good sized portions for good prices. Fresh, so there was a bit of a wait (but I'd rather have it fresh!). Food and service were both good as well.

Rang up too say my egg fried rice was not with my order was told too check I said it wasn't her told too check again said they will see what comes back with delivery man not the response I wanted so food in oven keeping warm why I wait for a call back I use this take away all the time best one in Preston I thought but after not sorting the issues will not be during again

Recomiendo clasificado este lugar cuando comencé a ir el año pasado pero los estándares y la calidad no están cerca de la misma donde Tenía un par de entregas mal desde aquí, comida fría o insípida, pero probar de nuevo, ya que podría ser muy bueno, pero esta vez fue la peor todavía. La comida estaba fría y algunos de sabía ponerla en, las fichas fue la mayor dar porque es fácil decir por el gusto cuando se han recalentado. Las costillas no tenía sabor y la sal y la pimienta pollo piezas recubrimiento era difícil. Es una pena sobre este lugar, especialmente cuando sabes lo bueno que podría ser, pero muy mal en las entregas 3 seguidos me hace pensar que son más molestó sobre cuánto se puede vender en vez de la calidad de la comida, el cliente viene último en este sitio

Desde aquí pedimos la comida, porque la comida es muy sabrosa. Ordenados en 10 últimos 6. Los alimentos entregados a las 7:10. Cuando abrió, la comida estaba fría de piedra. Llamaron de nuevo para protestar y nos dijeron, comer y obtenga un 50% de descuento la próxima orden. No es aceptable. Queríamos comida que no necesitamos para calentar. Nos dijeron que teníamos que esperar 30 minutos para controlado por mensajes JMS. Finalmente nos comimos a las 20:10, 2 horas después de un pedido inicial. Venga en fortune house, sabemos que puede estar ocupado, pero es una comida fría, no, no.

We have ordered from here on numerous occasions and the food is first class, one of the best Chinese we have used. Some times it gets busy and your order may take longer than normal but then this reflects its popularity.Tonight we ordered and were overcharged £2 by mistake. After ringing to explain this to them the delivery driver came back round within 15 mins and gave us our £2 back. Brilliant

Really disappointed in Fortune House , as they used to be our prefered Chinese Restaurant, however not anymore. Ordered over the telephone for a meal to be delivered , was told it would take around 45 mins , they normally deliver within 20 mins , so maybe they were busy ...... after waiting almost an hour and no delivery , we decided to call . We were told "will only be 5 mins" , now this has happened before so we asked if they food was cooked and on its way to be told there was 3 orders before ours , so the 5 mins we were was told was abit of an exaggerated as they hadnt even started the order. Now this has previously happened to us and on that occasion we gave them the benefit of the doubt and let them continue with the order and waited..... only to be still waiting over an hour later , so a 2nd call and still not even cooked it and ended up with no food . so we took the decision on this occasion again that we would cancel the order . we will not be ordering again from fortune house . for this to happen once is a pain but we overlooked it as the food and service is normally very good , however this has happened twice so "unfortunately" will be using someone else

Great value, good menu, good prices, always get plenty in a portion, and you cant beat Chinese chips !!! Worth ordering ahead as it can sometimes be busy if you want to avoid a wait.
