I was treated to a birthday lunch here by my son at my request as I had sampled the food before and was eager to return. Three of us had the so fearful smoked salmon tagliatelle with its tangy chilli and lemon dressing while my son was mightily impressed by the steak ciabatta and the red onion/red cabbage slaw that accompanied it. The other great thing about eating here, apart from the friendly service, are the lovely little touches like real napkins and decent quality cutlery as well as fresh flowers on the table - something many restaurants don't even bother with, let alone market eateries! Looking forward to visiting again soon.

We had the most lovely salad for lunch at a reasonable cost. The Lunch Box was recommended by one of the other stall holders and I can only pass on further recommendations. Our salad was exceptional, so we need to sample more of the menu over the next couple of months. The place can be a bit noisy and cold, but don’t let that stop you. A hidden Gem.

We chose to eat here over the other venues as the chef / patron seemed friendly. The Food was brilliant. We had Smoked Salmon with poached Eggs and a Steak Sandwich that was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back 😁

At last I had the opportunity to savour the skillful imaginative cooking of chef Adrian and attentive service of his partner. Delightfully executed Salmon with chorizo. Tremendous value. Top quality. Highly recommended.

Extremely good value for money. Delicious tasting food, presented with refinement and grace. Service is friendly and assured. Head and shoulders above many restaurants/Cafés in Shrewsbury that are charging considerably more money than this place.

We visited today and found the food to be scrummy. The jackets were £4.50 and full of filling. The staff are very helpful. 10/10

Ive come here a few times now, for breakfast and lunch as well as for a quick coffee and have always been really impressed. The food is different to everything else on offer in this lovely market hall and is just right - neat, tasty, real value and fun.

My wife and I have eaten here a number of times over the last few months and have always been delighted. We’ve had lovely breakfasts and lunches here and we were fortunate enough to have a special birthday meal for 8 here a few months ago which was fantastic. Adrian is such a talented chef and Mim is so welcoming as front-of-house. It’s situated in our fabulous indoor market, with fresh ingredients selected every day for within the market. It is so good that I’m almost tempted to keep it secret for ourselves but that wouldn’t be fair. Don’t miss it - it is a real gem!

I live locally but hadn't spotted The Lunch Box in the Market Hall before yesterday. The service was very friendly and efficient, the food delicious and beautifully presented and the flat white excellent. The space is bright and nicely set out with fresh flowers on the tables and magazines to flip through. Will definitely return.

We live very locally so know all of the restaurants in Shrewsbury. And we absolutely LOVE the Lunchbox. Situated in the Market Hall (well worth a visit in its own right for the buzzy atmosphere and fantastic produce available) The Lunchbox is open for breakfast and lunch . The food on offer is the best you will get anywhere . . Adrian is a talented and imaginative local chef, who has started up this wonderful little place where the emphasis is on top quality, locally sourced ingredients . And his organic sourdough bread comes from The Bakehouse (another gem of a place situated just outside the market ) All food is cooked and prepared to perfection, with those extra little touches that make it extra special. His breakfast is far superior to anything else on offer in the market, or for that matter in town. Service by Mim his partner is pretty special too. Attentive, friendly and fun you will always leave with a smile on your face. The icing on the cake is that on the first Saturday of every month the market has late night opening . And the Lunch box then offers a truly fantastic evening meal (with wine if wanted) for an incredibly reasonable price. If you are in Shrewsbury do come here to eat . Or just for a coffee and cake. I cannot recommend it highly enough....you will not be disappointed!

Saturday late morning, we'd had a smoothie b4 we left home, but by the time we got to Shrewsbury my tummy was rumbling. So, a half hearted look around the Shrewsbury Market (which I highly recommend btw) we did a circuit and I'd spied this place as we did the first lap. We sat down and was greeted by a lovely lady who made us feel really welcomed and took out drinks order. Nothing exciting here, (sparkling water and black coffee) we were sat and could see the food prep area, as I was looking at the menu I could see the chef making orders up. I was impressed by his work, and looking forward to my brunch. I ordered steak ciabatta with blue cheese, and red onion chutney. My partner ordered local eggs, local ham and sourdough bread. As you can see, the picture speak for them selves, for such a simple couple of dishes, they were divine. We were so please that we stopped here. Highly recommended and we will definitely be coming back. Thank you very much.. I must add, the steak was local, like from the next stall to them which is fantastic.

Great small restaurant with an interesting lunch menu. The food is described fined for sharing and 2 or 3 plates are recommended. I had Danish frikkedellar, my husband had pork belly. Both beautifully presented small lunch portions. The coffee was good, the service unobtrusive and the views from the outside terrace are also good. Not fast food, but stunnngly good food. Also. A good stop for coffee and cake, or Fika.

Ambers Pizza Co was one of the top recommendations for places to eat in Oswestry by our B&B host Michael at Nant Gloyw. The pizza's were superb, reasonably priced and the service quick and friendly. As well as traditional toppings they also had some unusual, but delicious alternatives. I had a Moroccan lamb merguez pizza, which had tomato, mozzarella, spiced lamb mince, red onions, fresh coriander, yoghurt with mint and pomegranate seeds. As well as pizza they had a range of other dishes which looked tempting, including some delicious sounding desserts.

Met up with friends for lunch and was not disappointed. The cafe was clean, and comfortable with a lovely cosy atmosphere. Food was delicious, and loads of vegan/vegetarian choices. A feast for both mouth and eyes! Would highly recommend to anyone.
