An excellent proper pub with really good cask ales.

I recently dined at The Blaise Inn and was thoroughly impressed. The food was of top quality, showcasing the expertise of a top chef. The service was equally impressive, with a team that attended to every need with professionalism and warmth. Perhaps the most surprising aspect was the incredibly reasonable pricing for such high-quality offerings. I highly recommend The Blaise Inn for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience at a great value.

We’d been meaning to try this place for a long time, but I have to say — it was a bit disappointing. There really should be a proper explanation of how it works. Essentially, you’re asked to order a huge pot of broth and all the raw ingredients, and you're expected to cook everything yourself. To make matters worse, we received two small crabs (and barely any fish) that cost nearly £9 — which felt way overpriced. While most of the ingredients did seem fresh, the combination of everything mixed together, along with the heaviness of the broth, left me with a bit of a stomach ache. On a positive note, the service was impeccable.

Shockingly rude bar manager and the cider tasted like soap. Not going back there in a hurry. Staff seemed scared of the manager. Would have stayed as en route but didn't even finish the drinks we bought. A dozen of us walked out because the manager was so rude.
