Very surprised how shabby it's become. Needs a complete clean up and touch up. Great shame as Kings Head was top of my list to take friends to see for my 75th b'day tour of Bristol's historic pubs.

A fantastic piece of Bristol history, that has been preserved by the Good Chemistry brewery. Great interior space with tons of character (including the famed 'tramcar saloon') and a wide selection of drinks make this a must-visit if you are nearby. The array of cheese rolls and pickled eggs also looked rather delicious, but as I didn't try them, I cannot comment on their actual quality.

Superb little pub with plenty of charm, character and a great beer selection from local company Good Chemistry Brewing. The pub itself is narrow with a quirky tram cart style seating area. The publican who was there when we visited (twice in a day) was fantastic, he had great knowledge of the beers, was super friendly and hospitable (he also has an absolute gem of a dog that he might let you meet if you ask nicely). If you are in Bristol pop in for a few beers, it won’t disappoint. Hwyl am nawr 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿.

Imagine you’re strolling down Victoria Street in Bristol and you see the celebration cake centre you pop in have a browse and you treat yourself to a slice, then you build up a thirst for a cold pint to wash it down. Well look no further than 2 yards away as you have the Kings Head next door, which is a delightful boozer; actually it’s encroaching into the top draw arena!!

Tiny, recently refurbished pub in Bristol. Was worried the refurb would kill what was good about the pub, but it hasn't. Card only which slightly annoys me, as it is exclusionary for some people and this is the sort of pub that makes a big play on being "inclusive".

Good chemistry run pub. Cool space, they’ve not modernised it but instead refreshed a traditional pub space. Very pokey inside, definitely not suitable for large groups. The beer selection is cool, about half is good chemistry beer and the rest is a constantly changing interesting selection. Atmosphere wasn’t buzzing when we visited on a Saturday night at 9pm and I was a bit surprised. Felt like a bit more of an old man pub.

This has always been worth the short walk away from the city centre to experience it’s unique interior, but since it’s been taken over it has the added bonus of serving great beer. It appears to open later in the day, so not suitable for an early pint. When it opens it gets a bit cramped, but that’s kind of the point of this railway carriage of a pub.

This pub is a bit of a gem - its back away from the line of the street and is very unassuming. The beers are well kept, they have classic pub snacks, oh and it has an original Victorian back bar, all dark wood and little nooks, including a carriage bar, which has the feel of an old train carriage. It's decadent, cosy and has a film noir feel to it.

An intimate and traditional olde boozer, with just a sprinkling of modernity from Good Chemistry. Warmly-welcomed on arrival and served a cask best, traditional in style and in absolutely mint condition.
