It’s no secret that I love the Loveable Rogue, it is my favourite restaurant in Glasgow. We normally go to the west end restaurant but tonight we traveled East to the Dennistoun restaurant. Shamefully I hadn’t tried their Thursday steak frites but when I saw they had the same deal on this weekend I decided tonight was the night. The food was its usual amazing, we normally have the hummus and whitebait starters and they were as tasty as ever but we also had the haggis Bon Bons and the goats cheese and Parmesan churros which were so good. I had my steak with king prawns and garlic butter which were gorgeous. The steak deal is such good value. A side of brisket Mac n cheese was the perfect accomplishment. Last words will be on the service, the staff are so lovely and attentive and it’s them that really makes the place special. Gary in particular goes above and beyond to make your visit a great one.

Wow! The Sunday roast is up there with one of the best meals we have had! Highly highly recommend. Stunning food, cocktails & really good service.

Excellent service and atmosphere. The staff are friendly and professional. Delicious food and booze. We had the whitebait with garlic aioli as a starter to share and we then had the Bavette steak with garlic butter prawns with fries were BANGING! Will definitely come back again!

First visit to this lovely bistro just off duke street. Warm welcome and seated quickly. Al la carte option, didn’t think until later to ask for the fixed price menu. However, good choices on the menu My partner had an amazing ox cheek pie which he said was superb, it certainly looked it. My fish and chips were disappointing. The thick cut chips and “mushy” peas were excellent but the fish batter was really thick and not cooked fully in the middle which detracted from the fish. However, we will be back to try the fixed price menu in the future. The staff were friendly and service good

Booked a table for the Thursday Steak night and it didn't disappoint. The portions were pretty decent and there are plenty options to add starters or sides. The cocktails were lovely and the service was pretty good. The place gets really busy so table turnaround it fast but definitely worth making a booking.

Well I don’t actually know where to start. 1) booked online and confirmed day previously table and requirements to be met with a very unhappy team after we advised the table was not suitable for the high chair- NO SPACE FOR HIGH CHAIR! 2) Very unwelcoming move for us 3) sat 15 mins without menus or drink 4) starter had no taste and looked like sliced out a tin -chicken roulade Haggis Bon Bon’s cooked too much and batter was solid 5) Beef on plate- 4 of us- some thin and cooked some thick and raw, absolutely vile and Terrible alternative if you didn’t like beef- red meat 6) wine cloudy 7) only one morretti available ! For a bill of circa. 180 pound - frightening! I can honestly say I was absolutely disgusted ! In a nutshell -very unwelcoming, food disgusting and totally over priced !

All I can say is WOW! We eat out a lot and this has been the best Sunday roast we have had. Everything was delicious, desserts too were incredible. Cocktails are delicious. Beautiful decor and friendly staff. We absolutely will be returning (a lot) you won’t be disappointed.

Amazing spot, staff were excellent and extremely precessional throughout our meal. The Manager Alex was particularly fantastic and made me and my partner so comfortable and entertained. The food 10/10 service 10/10. If you haven’t been, you should. The best restaurant in the east end.

Went for the tasting menu and was possibly the best we’ve ever had and definitely the best value for money. From the Cullen skink to the dessert it was all great. Will be back and can’t recommend highly enough. The staff were great as well.

Came in for brunch on Wednesday morning and it was fab! Good value, very tasty food and great service. The Mushroom Royale was soooooo gooood. Really relaxed and cosy atmosphere too!

This place was faaaaab. We debated for a while where to go, and honestly the Thursday steak night, despite being £10, was better than some other steak restaurants charging upwards of £60+ for a steak !! First time ever trying a tasting menu and it was a revelation, absolutely brilliant! Tried so many things I would never order and everything was plate-lickingly good! I think my fav was the Cullen skink, what a way to start, it was banging! Can't wait to come back. Great work 👏

Starters were amazing! Goats cheese and Parmesan churros, haggis Bon Bon’s. The hummus was outstanding - best I’ve ever had. The steak was cooked really well, massive portion of chips. Everything was so lovely. A MUST VISIT for the East End!

Had a great Easter Sunday roast at Loveable Rogue yesterday! Of course, the food was tremendous as always - those tatties are something else 👌 The service is always top-notch but a special mention to Joe - he was super friendly and extra helpful! Went for Easter Sunday roast…there was a mistake with our booking which, despite being busy, Joe squeezed us in and made us feel like it was no problem. Food and wine were amazing and great service. Would 100% recommend

Exceptional quality food. 3rd visit to this restaurant and never been disappointed. Small restaurant, staff are very friendly and attentive. Think the loveable rouge is a hidden gem. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone for a great meal with excellent service
