I went here for the first time this evening with my best friend for her birthday. The atmosphere was really nice and we tried a few cocktails with our food. Highly recommend for a good evening! Our server was so lovely and funny I think her name was Vicky! It really added to the experience 😊

Yet another great visit. This time we had large plates rather than selecting from the small plate menu. The food was excellent, both the lamb and hake were generous portions cooked perfectly. Add in a couple of perfectly mixed cocktails it was an evening we thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely recommend a visit.

I had booked a table of 15 for my friend's birthday. It was a surprise as the birthday girl thought it was just us two. The Lounge were very accommodating with this and it was perfect. They allowed everyone to arrive up to 30 minutes prior to ensure everything was ready. Throughout, staff were constantly ensuring we were okay for drinks and were quick to get our food orders in once we were ready. We brought a cake and they were very efficient with that also. We had agreed on the bottomless brunch but were initially dubious that we would receive two small plates each HOWEVER were very pleasantly surprised that these plates made up a very large plate and a very filling meal. Very generous and yummy. Cocktails/ mocktails were yummy too! I also noticed that the decor was beautiful and really brings something different to the local area. Highly HIGHLY recommended and will definitely book again.

Me and my friends had the most amazing evening last Friday at The Lounge. 2 of us did the bottomless brunch and the other 2 ate from the normal menu. The bottomless brunch was fantastic and the staff were extremely attentive with topping up our drinks (maybe too attentive!). There was a great variety of food from onion bhajis to ribs, all of which was exceptional. Abi mainly served us and was super friendly and did well putting up with us! Thank you to all staff!

Bottomless brunch on Saturday was amazing! Music was banging and everyone was up dancing ! Such a great time will defo be booking again

First time visiting on Saturday…8 of us booked in for the bottomless brunch…. Food was lush, drinks were lovely and a great choice of cocktails included ! One of the best bottomless brunches we’ve had… staff were all so lovely !! Especially Leanne she deserves a massive shout out ♥️ music was great and they even did some requests, fun atmosphere, we had a dance and left very merry !! Will definitely be returning ! Our girly Karen did not have to make any complaints at this establishment…🍸🍹🥂🍾 thank you so much for a fab afternoon 🍾♥️

We loved this little place. Tapas was really tasty. We ordered about 7 little dishes for 3 of us and all of them were lovely. Very tasty and enjoyable. The service was excellent too. The young guy serving us had a great demeanor, good sense of humour and was really on the ball. He was quick to serve us and very easy to chat with. He described and explained what the different dishes were and he was spot on! Well done. Great place with great service. We will visit again and highly recommend.

Didn't really like the cocktails at all think they used to be way nicer howver i didn't complain and I didn't give them a chance to try put it right. However the service was great, the boy was so helpful and couldn't of been any nicer if he tried. Still like the venue and the atmosphere is still great.

Came here back on September, good variety or food cooked well as well, great if you’re sharing with someone. Really quick service, we were there in the middle of the week so it was a bit quieter, nice cocktails as well. Would recommend and go again!

Nice little cocktail and tapas style bar. Good and varied menu - had a few cocktails - all great. Also opted for some food and that all came out well presented too. No complaints on that front. Just the atmosphere was a little lacking. Perhaps some booths, or some zoning would help to make it more relaxing. Staff were really friendly.

We popped in here for a cocktail, The service was very friendly and quick. The cocktails were ok, mine was a bit watery. I didn't eat here so I can't rate the food. Nicely decorated, with comfy chairs, soft lighting etc. The atmosphere is lacking something, it felt a bit empty and cold - but, it was a wednesday at 9.30 so maybe not the best night to go.

Ordered fillet steak. Not the nicest flavour and despite it being fillet had a couple of chewy bits. Had to ask for our sauce as it was not bought to the table. Was not asked if the meal was OK until plates cleared. Was going to have a dessert but after sitting there for some 20 mins plus waiting for someone to come over we decides not to bother. In fairness to the 2 waitresses they were very busy (was a table of 14 in celebrating a birthday). Would give it another chance though.

Such a shame the service was SO slow. I mean waiting 45 minutes for cocktails to arrive and food orders to be taken. The food was fantastic once it had arrived. I wouldn't go back as service slow and unfriendly; for such expensive drinks it's not worth it.

A very warm welcome nice tapas menu which was delightful when served a bit of a problem with the wine I ordered but this will not stop me visiting again

No one greets you as you walk in. Eventually get a table then no one comes to take an order despite 2 staff just stacking and emptying glass wash so go to the bar. Order drinks then after ages see them sitting on bar and no one brings them over so go to bar to get them myself. Shame. Really missing out on customer service and engagement. 2nd time and just as bad as first. Won’t return.

Good atmosphere and the mains were good but the sharing desert was really disappointing. The cheesecake was really poor. More home made food would make this place so much better.

Thoroughly disappointing for somewhere run alongside the Sackville Bistro, which is great. Strange layout - walk in, no where to be greeted/seated. Waiting staff aren’t overly friendly or efficient - guys making drinks behind the bar absolutely ragging it, waiting staff aren’t greeting people, sloppily laying tables, not talking when at the table. Makes no sense, business misses upsells and very easy opportunities to keep the customer engaged. Drinks are fantastic - they just take too long. Wait staff should be able to help with easier orders such as beers and wine, freeing bar staff up to make the great drinks. Food is on par with Wetherspoons small plates, just 4x the price - such a shame here as we were very excited. Either stick with this and reduce prices or actually make the food yourself and justify the cost. Overall, left feeling drunk which is great, but everything else was such a shame. Been open for a long time, should have been able to get their act together by now but they haven’t. Staff require a talking to, pricing/food quality requires review internally. Until that’s done, The Lounge isn’t for us.

I've been twice and each time was a delightful experience. Great tapas style food which is tasty and good quality. I thought the menu offered a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options too. They seem to cater for everyone. Great cocktail menu, all beautifully presented drinks in lovely glasses. For wine drinkers - smaller selection of wines but a good selection (I am a wine drinker, not really a fan of cocktails, but I had to try one and it was lovely) Decor is amazing, love the lighting in the evening. A great night out with friends in Bexhill.

Service was a little slow, other than that we had a nice drink.

A friend & I came to Bexhill to see a gig. We stumbled across The lounge when we arrived on Friday and so pleased we did. The staff were very welcoming as soon as we walked in the door. We ordered a mojito & aperol spritz & I can honestly say it was the best mojito I've ever had. We also ordered some small plates. There was a great range to choose from, also different from the usual menus (I.e. roast potatoes & gravy!) & it was all delicious, we were very impressed! A few more cocktails were had & felt comfortable to just chill for a couple of hours. It was a Friday afternoon so not a wild atmosphere but we liked that as we'd been driving for a couple of hour. We had good music, good food, good cocktails & good company. Defo recommend!

Fantastic food, really good service. Great choice of cocktails and a great small selection of wine. Highly recommend this cocktail bar.

Went on a weekday lunchtime staff friendly and attentive food tasty and generous portions some new cocktails from the norm which makes a change and the loo was very clean couldnt find fault that day will be returning and have recommended

Just had the most amazing dinner at The Lounge; the small sharing plates were stunning (don’t miss the halloumi with sweet chilli or the baked Camembert) and the three different cocktails we had (one each!) were perfect. Fantastic to have this in Bexhill, and highly recommend you try it out.

Very nice food and a good atmosphere. Bit of a wait for the food, but on the whole, very nice.

Great food and drinks, warm friendly atmosphere the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were served by a lovely waitress Lilly, she was attentive and always had a smile. 100% recommend to anyone looking for an evening of cocktails with great food.

Booked initially through open table -bit of a glitch in the system but the manager sorted it out for us. We had a lovely evening - the staff couldn't have been more accommodating - my husband asked for a cocktail that wasn't on the menu - not only did Andrew make it for him - my husband said it's the best one he's ever had!!!! We both had the steak on a stone and because i eat my steak blue, i requested for it to be on a separate plate - couldn't fault it - absolutely delicious! Will definitely be back! thank you! Went in for a quick bite to eat ,the tapas style feel was nice seeing as myself and my partner always share our food. Staff was fantastic and very friendly / polite

Had a booking for 7 of us on a Saturday night and everybody commented on how good the food was. Service was great and value for money was excellent. Enjoyed the variety of cocktails - would definitely come back.

Would have given 5* if they had a full vegan menu. The staff are great and the decor is fab - just need to up their game on the vegan front.

Not great. Staff don’t seem like they had any training. Pretty much Empty restaurant and no one even come over to greet us when we walked in, so not a great start. 10mins after being seated no one came over to offer drinks, we had to go over to the bar. Food was just ok nothing special and some of it quite tasteless. I was quite shocked when the salmon turned up and I could tell straight away it was not fresh, it was cooked from frozen! Overpriced for what it is. Such a shame as the place is nice and has a good atmosphere but the food and especially the staff really let it down, hopefully it improves but we won’t be rushing back any time soon.

Been twice. Expensive but thought ambience nice and staff pleasant.. this was just after it opening.. went to support a new Bexhill venture.. Went back at 56pm tonight to meet a friend for a quick drink. On entering relieved to see 9 tables empty. Was then firmly told by a member of staff that they were 'full' and the only seats were at the bar. I explained we didn't want to be more than an hour just for a drink. 'We are FULL'. When I queried the empty 9 tables I was told they would ALL be arriving at 5.30pm!! Really..9 tables all arriving at the same time of 5.30? I waited for my friend by the door as it was pouring...the Managaress approached me with a not veery nice 'Can I help you Madam....''there being a definite 'tone' to it. As it was by now almost 5.25 and no rush of people arriving I explained again we only wanted a quick drink. Stonewalling again so left the still empty place with the thought that restaurants should be nice to people on the way 'up' ..won't be troubling them again but they may in time be a little more glad of customers and treat them accordingly.

Half an hour wait for a drink & staff were chaotic and unorganised.

Had a lovely meal here, the service was the only issue, our order was taken and then forgotten, however the head waitress, realised and came over and was very apologetic, giving us 2 free cocktails! 😊 Food was lovely, choices for all tastes, so compliments to the 2 chefs, that had a packed restaurant with over 100 diners to deal with, the cocktails were nice too! 👍🏼atmosphere was chilled at the start of the evening, only to pick up as the kitchen closed around 9. All in all I would recommend, this place is still very early on in its life, only opening in mid December 2022 and the young waiting staff will improve, and become more attentive

Very different- but most welcome at Bexhill. New, very nicely styled venue. Great selection of cocktails! What we really liked was the “ small plates”. Mini Baked Camembert” “ Sliders” and “ Pigs in Blankets”- you don’t always need to overdo the food, when having a drink. Going back soon …..

Interesting place very comfortable and warm. However with cocktails and wine I think it would have been nice to have some complimentary peanuts , crisps given with them like in most cocktail bars. we had lunch steak on a stone which was lovely but maybe the salad could be in a different dish so we could take the steak off if you didn’t want it well done there was no where to put it. We asked for a plate but it took ages to come. The young girls waiting on need some training.. overall it made a nice change.
