Back again once more to this wonderful establishment best chippy by a country mile had black pudding and chips my partner had fish and chips absolutely exquisite very friendly and attentive staff too top marks for a top chippy

The best chippy ever Beeaded haddock to die for and Spicey haggis supper. Nowhere else will match it

Food cooked fresh and good size portions which were value for money. Staff could have been a little more friendly and welcoming.

This is a very busy chip shop on Queen Street in Lossiemouth. All the usual chip shop items are on offer, apart from fish and chicken boxes, which are on some chip shop menus. The shop was crowded, and we had a fairly long wait to collect our order, but bearing in mind how busy it was, the staff did very well under the circumstances. Prices were on par with similar takeaways, the service was friendly, and our party of four enjoyed our takeaway.

We went late on Saturday 21st January. When you walk into the chippy it looks absolutely spotless, alway a good start. The staff are all really friendly and chatty. I ordered a haddock supper and macaroni pie supper. It is really good value and a good sized portion. Everything was cooked to perfection and we both agreed that this has got to be the best chippy around. I can't wait to go back. Thanks to all the staff 😊😊

Having eaten my fair share of fish suppers over the years, I can honestly say that the Lossie Chip Shop is my favourite chipper. The hardworking staff always have a smile for you and the owner is extremely chatty as well. It does get very busy at times but this is testament to the quality of the food. Highly recommended.

Absolute chaos in this chip shop - 4 girls with no clue what they were doing taking orders then spending ages trying to work out what they were doing. Chips put into boxes by one girl and put on the side for 10+ minutes to go cold whilst the next girl tried to read her own handwriting and work out which order was which. All of them with loose long hair flowing into the food. No aprons and dirty clothes with smears of grease and batter down them. The blonde girl carried out a pile of raw fish in bare hands, wiped them on her dirty t shirt then went back to putting out cooked chips without washing them. 45 minutes wait watching a comedy of incompetence. Don’t try and ring them- the whole wait the phone was ringing and it wasn’t answered once. In the end chips were dry and batter was over cooked rubbery and inedible - whole meal was drowned with salt and went in the bin.

Good quality food value for money staff are very friendly and helpful loads of food on the menu fish and haggis suppers are simple the best

OMG! Just had my tea from Lossie Chip Shop. I've been looking forward to it all week and it did not disappoint. Fish and chips the best you will ever get, moist fish, light crispy batter and lovely chips. Everything from here is just great, don't change a thing. It was mega busy but they're so efficient you don't have to wait long for your freshly cooked meal. Thanks

A business trip to sign a million dollar deal gone clits up due to the ongoing problems with this vulgar establishment. To my dismay they didn’t like naan, they didn’t like ham, they didn’t like spam, they didn’t like curry and was always in a hurry. Don’t come they said. I said why, why not I say. Bizarre, doesn’t make sense. Making sense and being very clear and coherent is extremely important as I’ve a degree in science. The old frail, decrepit looking woman with a awful scum like accent was rude and most displeasing. I say to her to go learn English, ew, how disturbing it really was

Good selection on the menu. The salad boxes are a real treat. We had haddock which was tasty and well cooked and scampi which was equally as good. Really nice staff with excellent service and a smile. Top marks from us.

Very busy on a Saturday evening and there was quite a wait. A haddock supper and single haddock were ordered. The fish was overcooked and was a really strange texture and had rather solidified. I've never had haddock with this texture, it was really odd.

Fantastic food. Love it. Can’t get enough. Everyday I think of lossie chip shop. Everyday I lust over the chips. Everyday.

Here they don’t offer anything gluten free and everything is fried in beef fat. The owner has made no effort to accommodate these needs. Which means they obviously hate vegans. How horrible. Offended is a understatement.

Had a yummy fish supper last Friday. Big piece of fish with lots of chips. Loved the mushy peas. Was too full to finish. Delicious

It's quite good - efficient service, good enough food. The one at Fochabers, not so very far away, is outstanding, definitely better, which persuades me to 4 stars, not 5.

Can't go on holiday near the sea without trying the Fish and Chips. Good portion and fish was very fresh, lovely big white flakes. Enjoyed by all. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Limited opening currently due to coronavirus, Wednesday to Sunday, 4-8pm.Large portions, fish plentiful and very fresh, batter did not overwhelm the fish - which happens in some places. The chips were great, not too greasy and the correct thickness. We were hungry but eventually we were beat and had to leave a few chips, which does not often happen. Social distancing while waiting adequate. Service good.

Best Fish and Chips we’ve had in a long time. Kids portions excellent value for money. Highly recommend picking up a chippy from here and sitting down at west sands. Will be back 👍🏻

Fish suppers for 3 on Saturday night and all were excellent. I'd even go so far as to say that its one of the best pieces of battered fish I've ever had. Really firm tasty fish in a lovely un-soggy batter. Would recommend.

Was in Friday lunch time... very unorganised with only one member of staff to be seen. Used to come often but due to the lack of workers it was not the easiest process to go through. On a positive note I do have to say the food was of good standards and that’s the main thing. That lady needs more staff to help her and things would run a lot smoother with this support.

Chips are not made from Potatoe here but instead they are made of leafs and stuff. The decor is distasteful and could at least have some gold leaf? It was all going round and round the fryer when I walked about so god knows what’s going on in that place. Recommend the heater it’s nice.

Went there this evening and it is absolutely awful! The quality is disgusting and I feel as though there is definitely a difference between portion sizes for the locals and the people visiting. Will never go there again. Very poor indeed!

A wide ranging menu with prices reasonable. Service from Beverly was quick and friendly and takeaway was enjoyable.

We use it on a weekly basis because this is the best chippy in the area. The fish always tastes fresh with a lovely light batter, and the chips are consistent. Would recommend!

Was visiting Lossiemouth on a RAF Reunion stopped by and had a fantastic Chicken Supper and a chilled can of juice. Fresh made chips and Chicken, lovely menu and friendly staff. Would certainly come back again. You can't beat a lovely bag of chips at the Seaside.

A freshly cooked battered haddock fish supper all I can say was it was absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS the best I've tasted in 25 years ,my only disappointment is I was only in Lossiemouth on holiday and can't have one till I go on holiday again.

This isn’t the first time my wife and I have ordered here. We have had somewhat mixed experiences in the past, but this occasion was enjoyed.

During our Scottish road trip we decided that the night we stayed in Lossiemouth we would treat ourselves to fish and chips by the harbour. The popularity of this place was evident from the street given the queue inside. Service was good and food cooked to order. From the shop it was only a short walk to the harbour were I happily enjoyed my fresh fish and chips.

There might be a wee bit of a wait for your order but only because they are so busy. Fish suppers are excellent and a good variety of other meals available.

Fish was just absolutely stunning, I was nearly in tears after the first mouthful. The chips were something out of this world truly incredible and the decor tasteful I could not be more happy.

We visited and were well catered for two families of 8. Majority opted for haddock and chips. This was a high standard with lovely fleshy white meat that held together after cooked. Haggis was also fine. Menu was limited with only 1 fish option and no gluten free batter options

After a long day travelling from Cornwall, thought we would treat ourselves with a chippy. Phoned ahead, ordered & collected. Once we got home we were actually shocked by the portion sizes! £2.40 for a jumbo sausage and then add on £2 for chips to make it a supper. Also, ordered a LARGE chips for £3 - Don’t mind paying if the portion sizes are enough, but wasn’t even enough for the kids to share. To say we paid over £30 for our meal, we were quite disappointed.

We visited Rick Stein's world famous Fish & Chip Shop in Padstow in May of this year. As I said in the review of it, we were very, very disappointed by the service, and the food. I said "Our favourite chippy in Lossiemouth is consistently better!"

Although very busy, waiting time was kept as short as possible. Service efficient and courteous. The quality of the haddock was excellent and fresh. The batter was crisp and not greasy. Chips were fresh and tasty. This is a very good chip-shop.

I returned after a year and was impressed that the wonderful staff remembered me. The food was delicious and the curry sauce was simply the best. I would highly recommend a visit. 😉

I can’t recommend the fish and chip supper from The Lossie Chip Shop enough!! It is our favourite in the world let alone Scotland or Moray! The fish is delicious and the chips too - we’ve tried a few local ones and this is by far the best! We’ll miss it when we move back to England and will be back for sure to treat ourselves when we crave it!!

Look forward to Thurs as it is chippy night. Fish supper and a portion of chips is our regular. Prompt freindly service backed up with tasty food. What more could you ask for.

We ordered fish & chips and a pizza...neither were great. Chips were dry so we left most. Fish was tasty but also dry and batter soggy.

Consistently the driest fluffiest golden chips to accompany ANYTHING off the menu, especially in the perfect batter coating. On top of which the most pleasant and welcoming staff in town! :-)

Arrived in Lossiemouth at 7 pm hungry and our cottage was only a short walk away. The fish and chips were freshly cooked and absolutely fabulous !!

This is a good choice for fish and chips I lossiemouth all fresh made and good quality ingredients first class.

Friendly staff and reasonably priced how ever our chips werent great at all sadly. We did think perhaps it was a one off ans tried again a few months later how ever still not overly keen.

Good food cooked to order - can get busy at peak times so may be a short wait for your order. at busy times parking may be a bit of a problem

Visited twice cannot fault the food amazing no complaints, however the service is awful I along with other customers was completely ignored on the first visit.no friendliness when eventually served served, exactly the same on our next visit, I would recommend you bring your staff up to the same standard as your food.

Friendly staff and great food. Fish supper and sausage supper were delicious - fresh fish and crispy batter, yummy! A bonus for us was that we were able to get mozzarella sticks and chips for our vegetarian daughter.

On holiday in Lossiemouth. We've already been here twice for a fish supper. Fish is gorgeous and the chips are out of this world. No grease. Great on a load of bread and butter. I'll probably go home a stone heavier but you can't come to Lossie without going to this chippy! And it's spotless.

Brother-in-law hunted and gathered fish and chips for all of us for tea from the Lossie chip shop! It was a bit tepid by the time it got home to Hopeman :-) chips and mushy peas are amazing, and very fresh. However the fish was a bit "mwah"!?! Quite heavily battered and a bit chewy. The curry sauce was a bit sweet but quite nice. The battered haggis was a bit odd... But hey, everything is battered in scotland!!!

Staying in Findhorn and decided to drive over to Lossie for some fish and chips - glad I did. Really lovely staff, and great chips, scampi and sausages. Will be back to try the smoked sausage very soon. Highly recommended.

This must be the most spotless 'Chippy' in the UK, you could have eaten off the floor. My husband loved the fish and chips too.

Had a delicious meal from here recently. Fish supper for the majority with another having jumbo battered sausage and a children's half fish meal deal. The you get loved his own meal and was perfect size for him. The batter on all the food was so tasty and not too soggy/burnt like they an be sometimes. Chips very tasty and everything was cooked fresh. Spotted battered mushrooms on the menu when I was leaving so will definitely return and give them a go too!

Stopped in by here when we went out a run in the car last week.I had fish and chips and hubby had smoked sausage and chips and a king rib which the woman put on at last minute for him as he was hungrier than he thought!! Very pleased with the food and didn’t take them long to cook it up,lovely to sit at beach and eat our supper.Very friendly staff,we will go back another sunny evening!

On holiday took the family to the Lossiemouth Chip Shop,big variety of take away food. I would recommend the fish and chips it was excellent, also do a mini fish supper.

Me and my wife had fish and chips today with curry sauce and specially made scraps (Bits)! We have traveled all over the north of Scotland and this chippy by far beats all the others hands down!! Great chippie....would not go any where else!.....Place is immaculate clean...Staff friendly...yes you may have to wait...as is cooked on entering....but oh!...well worth it....tasty Fish suppers....best ever......eating down by the golf course....looking out to Sea....consistent good service over the years.....We live in the Midlands.....but have been coming some years to Lossiemouth/Moray....and have tried other Fish shops....but this is top of the tree....Yummy fish...lovely tasty batter and ...great chips.....Keep up the good work...

Lovely Breaded Haddock and chips freshly cooked to order - well priced and very enjoyable. If fish isn't your thing the chicken fillets or the Lossie Combo are well worth a try and a tub of Coleslaw to compliment it.

Both fish and chips burnt to nothing. Son arrived at 8.30 so closing time, they should have refused because the result was not worth 9.50 they charged
