The Lord Grenfell in Windsor and Maidenhead

This is now part of a small chain o believe. The rooms are ok,not bad value according to a family member. The breakfast was not bad, used to be amazing, but was ok this time. Bacon could have cooked longer, sausages were nice, eggs little oily.

Had a fantastic time at The Lord Grenfell, brilliant food and amazing service from Caley. (The steak pie that was recommended to me was absolutely delicious)

A big up to The Lord Grenfell for their wonderful hospitality on Sunday 25th May. It can’t be easy to manage a large group of 25 anxious, hungry, inpatient rowers - but the staff at the Lord Grenfell did it so seamlessly. The food & service were fantastic. (My mushroom & cashew wellington was amazing!). We were well looked after and enjoyed a very comfortable evening in this lovely pub. Thank you!

Excellent, some would say, Old Fashioned pub, but full of character. Earlier we'd gone for drink at a modern, chrome n glitter, pub. Bland and the staff unsmiling. Caley at the Lord Grenfell was like a breath of fresh air. Instantantly greeted with a lovely welcoming smile, and so helpful. As for the food, it hit the spot a treat. Again nothing modern and fancy, just lovely cooking and very good value. This was second time there. It won't be last.

We stayed here overnight, the greeting we had was very professional ..our room was very good and tv worked perfect which is not always the case in most places... Breakfast next morning was absolutely delicious, piping hot and excellent value, we will definitely be back

I’ve been coming here a lot and can say this is the best in Maidenhead. Food, atmosphere, drink selection, customer service and all the above are top notch and I would recommend to anyone! If you’re in Maidenhead please pop in! All the staff are amazing and super friendly and always are so quick to attend to your needs!

We have been visiting this pub for many years and we have NEVER been disappointed. Paul the manager/owner is an excellent host and the staff very efficient. The food is always good and we hope to visit many more times.

Had a lovely evening with friends on Saturday evening with great food and drinks. Great service and very friendly staff. Would recommend a visit, dog friendly too 😉

Great Sunday roasts if you're sharing.

Needed a place to stay near Bray, and the rooms were very reasonable and comfortable. Pub has a lovely beer garden and friendly service.

Stayed here a few weeks ago. Rooms are basic but very clean. Removed 2 stars on the room because of a very creaky bed, uncomfortable mattress, and inconsistent WiFi link on tv. Service was very good as is the location, easy walk to the river in one direction and the train station in the other. Very wide range of good ales and ciders, but cocktails are mostly premixed. Returned last week for some food. We have the 5 dishe "tapas" option, and it was very good. Very nice outdoor area and dog friendly too! Overall, an absolute gem of a place and we will be returning many mire times in the future.

£6.50 for the worst pint of Moretti I've ever had. Dirty pint glass. Couldn't finish it.

Hi. I think we can refer to ourselves as locals here now. We have been dropping into the Lord Grenfell for about a year now and every time we have had a warm welcome. Whether we drop in for a beer or for food, we always receive excellent service and the bar staff are always friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Our son also feels comfortable in here and regularly tucks into a delicious pizza. So much so I ditched cooking Christmas lunch and we came here as a family for the day. Great day. Keep it up team Lord Grenfell 🤩

Yesterday had another great meal at the LG, this time on Rib Tuesdays. Excellent service and food was spot on. Very wide selection of beers, ales and ciders.

Wasn’t sure how it would be on a Monday night but the pub had a few people in. The landlord was very friendly and welcoming and was managing the bar and the food service. I had a cracking fish and chips and my friend had a fabulous chicken kebab. The ambiance is comfy and cosy. A great place!

We’ve been passed this pub so many times, we finally went this weekend and had a great time. The Sunday roast were amazing. Billie and Adam our servers were brilliant!

I had lunch here, once alone and then with a group of 17 Thames Path walkers. The service from Caley and Adam was excellent and the food very reasonably priced and of good quality. Ambiance of pub also great. We have eaten at many pubs etc on our walks, and this was one of the best.

Myself and my family have been for lunch a few times now at the lord grenfell and the food is always 10/10. All freshly made and hot, was very quick coming out too. The service is also outstanding from the staff. The pub is dog friendly which is great! And the garden is beautiful with big warm heaters. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing service from caley and Paul. The staff are so attentive, friendly and just kind. I had the roast beef that was cooked perfectly and the potatoes were amazing. Very good price and portions. The brownie is so delicious definitely recommend and will come again!

I’ve given this place a 5 star purely based on value for money. It’s not a lavish luxury hotel but when you break it down it’s INCREDIBLE value for money. Clean, warm, good shower, comfortable bed and in the winter months it’s quiet !!!

Lovely place! We were visiting Maidenhead for the day and went for lunch at this pub at about midday. The owner, Paul, was a gentleman and made us feel very welcome. We had 2 mains, both were half-price with the 'lunch deal'! There's loads of food options and there's food combo deals every week day that we thought looked brilliant. We'll definitely be back if we find ourselves in Maidenhead again!! :)

Sunday lunch at the Lord Grenfell today the roast beef was great followed by cheesecake and vanilla ice cream. I have to say the staff are very welcoming and all smiling as they obviously enjoy their work. We were looked after by Caley and she was excellent. We will be back.

Great little pub with nice rooms, 20 odd beers or more. Fantastic outside seating. Staff were very friendly.

Came here for a roast dinner. Our first thoughts were that the place was very confusing for its decor. Paintwork shoddy, a lot of fairy lights and tat. Secondly it’s not very clean. The salt & pepper pots need a good clean and the ladies toilet was filthy. I don’t think behind the door on the floor has been cleaned in months. We did have to wait 45 mins until I asked how long our lunch would be and 10 mins later it came. The meal was ok but expensive for the quality of food. There was at the time around 20 people there so wouldn’t like to experience when it’s busy. The chap that served us was very nice. Parking a nightmare.

Lovely place to stay, affordable and functional. The staff are absolutely lovely and helpful. Then eating/drinking, have more plant based/vegan options than some. Plant based burger was lovely, really tasty with beautifully crispy chips and a nice slaw on the side. The cheese cake was a good sized piece (possibly a bit too big for me) with a nice sweet raspberry Coulé. Then the elderflower pressae was served in a nice glass with ice and slices and just finished this lovely meal off.

Correct but nothing more. Great for dogs but noisy with the bar near the rooms. The bathroom deserves a refresh.

Felt a lot of empathy towards the staff this evening, looked stressed and overwhelmed and it definitely shown with the food/service that we received. We arrived with high hopes due to the recent 5 star reviews and was very disappointed. Long wait for food, when the food finally arrived it was luke warm at best and below average, when visiting inside to discuss this with a staff member, they were viability upset due to the stress of the evening, so felt it wasn’t appropriate to say.

Very comfy bed. Great, cozy and personable service. Outstanding selection of real ales and ciders on tap. Steak night thursday did not disappoint. A rich, well hung and perfectly cooked rib eye was served up with all the trimmings properly cooked over coals. Tasty, satisfying and excellent value

Ottimo pub tradizionale situato a Maidenhead a circa 30 minuti di metro da Londra. Il locale presenta posti sia all'interno che all'esterno (comprensivi di ombrelli e riscaldamento). Ottima la cura degli interni che rispecchia lo stile di un vecchio pub avvalendosi di luce soffusa ed arredamento in legno. È presente una vasta selezione di birre e drink di tutti i tipi. Il menù è davvero vario ed il cibo è superlativo. Consiglio assolutamente di provare le baby pork ribs. Il servizio è veloce ed efficiente. Il locale presenta anche delle camere al piano superiore ma non avendole provate non posso esporre un giudizio. Consiglio assolutamente questo luogo a chi si trova nelle vicinanze.

Hotel Greenfall in London, while offering comfortable and basic amenities, is notably distant from the city center, posing a challenge for those seeking convenient access to major attractions.

Stayed here and also had dinner. The food was amazing. I highly recommend the Grenfell burger. The restaurant was small but really well dressed. The staff were polite and prompt and nothing was too much for them. I would stay/eat here again 100%

We are so lucky to have this superb pub and hotel as our local. Fantastic at Christmas - the staff are amazing. Its right near the river Thames and main arteries to Windsor and Henley. I couldn't recommend it more. Amazing selection of beer and a fantastic outside space. I hope to return again and again. Great atmosphere and Charm. Hats off to the Lord Grenfell! Thank you for a warm and lovely time every visit.

Great food and excellent service

The room is a bit chilly on arrival and whilst there was a big radiator in the room, it was complicated to use. The room wasn’t quite finished: a long mirror hadn’t been mounted and the front door has an extreme difficult lock on the outside. But the room had a good bed and it was quiet. Very close to Maidenhead and a stones-throw away from Windsor.
