Eight of us visited for afternoon tea. There were standard, vegetarian & gluten-free selections. All were absolutely fabulous. The portions were massive, lots of cakes/scones were boxed up to take away. Pleasant environment and lovely staff. We will be back very soon.

I have taken to buying my lunch at the loft - mostly take away but occasionally sit in. Cakes are home made sandwiches are freshly made with good ingredients and they do vegan /gluten free too. Coffee is fantastic too and service is always swift. Love having this on my door step and delighted a young villager is making a success of it.

I’ve been a few times since it was taken over towards the end of last year, all I can say is that it keeps getting better and better after every visit! Lovely Food, Helpful & Friendly Staff and Wonderful Decor! We noticed that they had quite a selection of Gluten Free & Vegan Cakes available alongside the usual cakes! I had a Fruit Scone which came with Clotted Cream, Strawberry Jam & Butter - It was so lovely, one of the nicest scones I’ve ever had! My friend had the Gluten Free Carrot Cake, she said it was amazing and that you wouldn’t have been able to tell it was Gluten Free! A member of Staff helped an Elderly Lady both up and down the stairs with her walker frame and carried her bags too which was nice to see, especially when the lady didn’t ask! They’ve seemed to have hit the nail on the head with what they are doing, Well Done to all at The Loft! X

Brilliant food, service and value for money , even though it was 11 am and breakfast were finished, the friendly staff still made the effort to provide us with late breakfast, highly recommended

Popped in with partner and vegan daughter and, have to say, we had a wonderful lunch. Since the new owners have taken over it seems much lighter/brighter with a good selection of cakes/drinks/sandwiches etc.and really good value. Staff were friendly and attentive and we will definitely be back to try the breakfast.

I visited this cafe with my mum, the staff members were friendly and welcoming. However the service time was despicable, we ordered 2 jacket potatoes at 12:20 and proceeded to wait 40 minutes for them to be ready. The jackets themselves were adequate but not great. I can appreciate that if the cafe is very busy it may take longer to prepare hot food, however there was 11 people in the cafe at this time. Other customers were also getting impatient, and asking where there food was. As the menu is limited i would expect the staff members to deliver the food quicker.

This is a lovely little cafe. The menu is very limited but what we had was good quality. The staff were very nice and obliging but service extremely slow. Access very difficult with steep staircase.

We have eaten at this lovely cafe several times as we live in th village and have always enjoyed great food and a friendly service. As the cafe is upstairs it is difficult to access if you have walking difficulties and needs a stair lift. The breakfasts and lunches are great and reasonably priced. The cafe should open on Sundays too!

I have visited this cafe about 4/5 times. The service is often quite slow for the amount of customers. My last visit was really disappointing , we were the only ones in there and 2 paninis look half an hour to prepare. The 3 ladies in there had no sense of urgency whatsoever even tho I had mentioned when ordering I was starving! Because we were the only ones in there the atmosphere was quite odd with no music and a high lofty ceiling. The paninis had been cooked in such a way the the bread had absorbed all of the Brie and all that was visible was the rind no lovely gooey cheese. We were asked when paying if everything was ok but didn’t have the confidence to be honest and say “not really” This place is a nice quite cafe and the food quality before has been good but this time we were left disappointed.

The best Moules a la Creme outside Brussels but for one thing, it was described as Moules Mariniere which it most definitely wasn,t. But the mussels were big, juicy, succulent in a cream sauce to die for. Pity the Chicken Kiev had no garlic butter AT ALL. And when I asked to talk to the chef to congratulate him on his mussels he never came - the difference between a family resturant and a commercial one. What a pity.

The Staff at The Olive Branch always have a smile and they are volunteers. Nothing is too much trouble and they always make us feel welcome. The Homemade Cakes look delicious and the large Cheese Scones are always eaten by my friends. In the colder weather my friends usually have their soup and I always see someone in there eating a Full English Breakfast at lunchtime.

A proper pub/restaurant in West Haddon. Our first visit on Thursday evening, met by welcoming and friendly staff. How good to see a menu of interesting and diverse dishes. And it did not disappoint. We had starter of Ham Hock Terrin, followed by the Beef short rib and The Brisket pie both with fresh vegetables. All well cooked and presented by an obviously competent kitchen. Everything was exellent. The food and drinks were very competitively priced and the whole place had a good vibrant atmosphere. We will be back soon to try some of the other mouth watering dishes.
