Lovely small cafe, food homemade, friendly staff. Great to visit on a dry day as there's not much inside seating.

Lovely cafe run by equally lovely people! We always pop by The Lodge during our walk around Nork park and treat ourselves to a delicious sausage sandwich with brown sauce.

Lovely little cafe, was with my daughter and stopped for a nice piece of cake and a toasted sandwich. Thank you, and I will go back.

Clean and well kept from outside. Unable to comment further as unable to go in, due to policy of no dogs.. I find this weird as its situated within a recreation ground mainly frequented by dog walkers!

Such a lovely little gem, hidden away for locals, walkers and dog walkers alike. The perfect stop off for a coffee and a catch up with friends or for lunch in the middle of a walk.

Really nice food and all ingredients fresh, very handy for parking and for dog walkers. Service is good and a lot of home made food, scones, cakes, soup etc, No complaints.

Tiny inside. Was hard to sit on table in corner was so tight.

Staff not very friendly and we waited over an hour for 2 ham sandwiches..as they were very busy apparently! The bread was nice but the bottom slices were soggy as served up on hot plates straight from the dishwasher! The coffee was lovely though. We won't be visiting again! Such a shame as it was recommended by a friend.

Friendly and nice. I was lucky to have a hot sausage roll on a gloomy Saturday morning. I could see that this is pet friendly place- they have mini dog biscuits :D Tea and coffee were OK, sausage roll was nice, but fruit cake was... average. But after all, its just a small cafe at a park, Smiley face with friendly service was food enough!

Great place, just take away at present, home made goodies and super take away drinks, very clean and respectful of covid rules. Smashing mince pies!!!

This is a lovely small business, when I say small I just mean size of building. Its in a good location, you have a young children's park next to it, or a small walk to a big children's park but that is a nice walk. A skate park or tennis courts, or in front is a big field great for football etc. The staff were very friendly (kept saying sorry for the delay, but we weren't in a rush at all and they were quite busy, but it it was nice to see that they didn't forget us) They also made a lovely hot chocolate with marshmallows for my 3 year old and it wasn't too hot and in a tiny cup. If there wasn't a pandemic happening it looks like they would have a out door seating area, I presume an indoor bit as well (people couldn't go in, it was done at the door). They offer food as well, I personally didn't have any, but I will definitely be back to try it, it did smell amazing and good decent sizes for decent prices. Nice selection aswell. There is parking in front but its not huge, but go for a walk, its more enjoyable. Take in the world!

Friendly, good service and excellent food not over priced. Love the homemade apple cake which was freshly baked, still warm when we got the order. Good quality tea and bacon roll. Outdoor seating was a bonus, outside had well kept flower beds. Highly recommended this lovely welcoming place to friends and family. Returning in the week for another round of tea and cake.

The Lodge is a tiny cafe which serves superb breakfasts and light meals, as well as an excellent selection of homemade cakes. Lovely ladies run it - very dog-friendly. (I am not!)

Despite being small, this amazing cafe punches way above its weight. With fresh, tasty, home made food, served by lovely, friendly staff, you'll definitely in for a treat. The fantastic home made soups are a real treat, as are the lovely homemade cakes. This dog friendly haven is the ideal place to nip in for a coffee during walks in Nork Park. The Cafe gets busy inside during the winter, but in the summer there's plenty of outside seating.

Converted air raid shelter!! Located in Nork Park and certainly worth a visit. Great breakfast.

I’m a bit loath to write this as I don’t want everyone to find this lovely cafe with one breath. But with the other, I do need to congratulate the girls who run this amazing little gem. What can I say - lovely little cafe in the park, cosy and nice decor. The food is absolutely delicious. Great fillings in sandwiches, tasty soup - different daily and cakes to die for - Austrian apple, bread pudding, damson delight! Nothing about the place is bad and that’s probably why people who find it are always returning. Lovely

This was recommended to me by a neighbour and it is a perfect little cafe at the entrance to Nork Park, with delicious home-made cakes, friendly service and treats for dogs.

Decided to go for a long walk on Sunday and heard of this place through friends. Well we turned up and it was really bustling. Pleasant surroundings and superb if you have a dog (They do 'Dog Ice Cream'!!) The menu is extensive with loads of choice. Pretty much everything is homemade and we had the carrot cake and a sandwich. Great taste and super size of filling. The coffee was really nice too. Well priced and the staff are excellent with a warm and friendly greeting. You would be hard pushed to find a lovelier cafe in such a super surrounding and a total must if you have a dog as they cater for them really well. Strongly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a nice walk, pleasant views and quality home made cooked to order food. We WILL be back, thanks & keep up the excellent work. J&A xx

Only recently discovered The Lodge and without a doubt the best of it's kind in the area. Somewhat of a hidden gem run by a dedicated team of friendly ladies serving delicious freshly made soups, light meals, breakfasts, ciabattas etc.. plus a lovely selection of scrumptious home made cakes. Highly recommended.

The staff are so friendly, giving cakes to a couple for a coffee morning, I had an amazing was a very tasty cheese and chutney toastie and a flat white, I will always go back as it's such a friendly cafe with amazing homemade food

We often go for coffee on a Saturday morning with friends and found this place. Freshly made cakes and savouries, breakfasts, soups, fantastic. Run by two lovely ladies who spent all the time we were there either serving or cooking. I was reluctant to write a review because it is tiney and I want a seat next time, but they deserve all the credit they can get.

Stunning food and atmoshpere. It's like the best kept secret of a place run by great people who home bake and cook the most amazing food. We need more places like this in the hope we can get rid of the big industry coffee shops.

Meet some friends here that didn’t know it had opened. Although it is small inside it has everything you can think of and the food was excellent. Everything was cooked fresh and a good choice of things on the menu. The cakes looked amazing. There was plenty of seating outside so would imagine in the summer it will be very busy.

Lovely new addition to Nork Park. Enjoyed a quick bite to eat and a coffee in the sunshine.

Being a frequent visitor to the park for both big and small kids play areas, it was wonderful to see the old building renovated and in use. It is really like a Tardis, small on the outside but loads of room inside. We visited on a weekday morning (half term) and enjoyed a coffee whilst the kids gorged on chocolates and fruit juice and everything else. Very welcoming and cozy, order taken with a smile and very quick service. There are extensive items to choose from, a little snack of cake or chocolate to a cooked brekkie and sandwiches. Will be returning to try out the latter in the near future - also they have a card machine so no worries about being shorthanded for cash!

Delightful, cosy cafe on the edge of Nork Park, with a great selection of home cooked meals and snacks. It has a small carpark and outdoor seating as well as a comfortable indoor area. Very friendly staff who also welcome doggy visitors with a treat.

Werent exactly sure where this cafe was but glad we found it. Cosy inside but plenty of tables outside. Cakes etc looked good but opted for a very wholesome soup that was very satisfying. Excellent value for money. Staff were very obliging and this place deserves to do well. Dog friendly. Great addition to the park. Would like to go back and try something else before giving 5 stars.

We were delighted to find this lovely newly opened cafe in the park. Parking not a problem. breakfast was wonderful. We even went home with take away cakes. What more could you ask for. My mother in law is disabled which was not a problem here.

Excellent place! The team working there are super friendly and we had a great chat with the owner. Had the breakfast and let me tell you... it was incredibly nice. Summary, great food, great team. A must visit if you are in the area.

A gem of a cafe, shall and cosy with superb food and warm and friendly service. Very clean and overlooks Nork Park.

A little gem of cafe. It offers a warm welcome with a good selection of food, well cooked and presented. Great coffee too - and loose leaf tea is available for those who prefer a little light infusion for their refreshment. Tasty homebaking is on offer, to round off the treat. The location, adjacent to the Tattenham Recreation Ground and Nork Park makes for a tranquil setting and there are a good number of outdoor seats and tables from which to enjoy the view.

I have been walking my dog over Nork Park for some years and was aware that on the entrance to the park from Tattenham Way a new cafe had opened. I visited here the other day to be greeted by two friendly ladies and once inside could see a selection of cakes to be purchased. I was also told that they had just baked some fresh scones. I purchased a cappuccino and a flat white, both very nice, cost was about £5 for the two. I will be visiting again to try some of their cakes that looked very nice. There is parking available from the Tattenham Way side which would make it accessible for those with any walking difficulties. There was seating available both inside and out. A very enjoyable visit.
