After spending some time with my son we decided to try The Laceby Teapot-I had read good reviews on Trip adviser. I was not disappointed. Good food, nice service and value for money.

My husband and I arrived at 1250 to be greeted with “have you booked?” As passing trade but living local we hadn’t realised you had to book and we were informed by a member of staff that they were really popular so tables get booked quickly but she would take a look. We noticed two tables free both seating 4, one in the corner and one set inbetween two other tables. The member of staff informed us that the corner table we had placed our things on was booked at 1:30 but we could have the one set inbetween the other tables and the one where everyone knocked into when passing. I told her we would be done quickly anyway so not to worry. My latte came and I had drunk it before my cake arrived, my husbands’ Americano was very weak but was hot, his cheesecake was tasty all the same and my Victoria sponge equally tasty. Within 15mins a table of 6 was cleared and made available and the table that we originally had chosen was offered as a “choice of where would you like to sit” to customers who had booked. We have eaten in some lovely places and had coffee in some nice settings but have never felt as uncomfortable or unwelcome before. I would say that if passing trade isn’t welcome then put bookings only on your page would be helpful, so customers who feel It would be lovely to drop by and support a local business don’t.

This is an excellent little cafe in the village of Laceby. I’ve been in a couple of times now and have found the staff to be friendly and welcoming, the food and drink excellent and the ambiance relaxing. The food is produced using local ingredients and is carefully prepared and is pleasing to the eye and to the taste. I warmly recommend the Laceby Teapot to anyone who wants good food and drinks at a good price. Just one thing - could the lattes be served on a saucer, please, as I don’t know where to put the spoon.

Lovely tearoom. Great homemade food! The cheese and onion quiche, oven baked jacket potatoes and cheesecakes are superb. Possibly the best we’ve ever tasted. The lemon cheesecake is perfect. Often you can’t taste any lemon - not here. Honestly, perfect. I’m also a bit of a coleslaw snob (can’t stand supermarket standard) - Teapot makes it just right. The ladies who run it deserve to do well. You can taste their food is made with love. Bless them, they also gave my little doggo a sausage. We’re only here for 4 days but plan to go back before we go home. Thank you, ladies! Top drawer ♥️

I had read great reviews and I wasn't disappointed. I went for lunch with my son on a visit to spend some time with him. We both had jacket potatoes, excellent, tasty and well presented. I dashed into the Laceby Teapot to grab some take away lunch. I had the sausage and caramelised onion quiche warm, with coleslaw and salad. They were very busy but nothing was too much trouble. Met up with an ex-work colleague on Wednesday afternoon, at this lovely cafe/tea rooms, to have a good catch-up. She had been several times before & had recommended that we meet here. Having booked the previous week, we were welcomed by the super friendly owner, who asked what drinks we would like to order whilst browsing the menu. We placed our drinks order & decided on the Classic Afternoon Tea for us both. The Teas were presented on a wooden board comprising a mixed choice of sandwiches, which we previously chose, warm sausage rolls & quiche with a salad garnish. Beautifully fresh & tasty they didn’t last long! We chose a fruit scone, jam & cream off a board full of a very varied selection of desserts & cakes. The scones were warm & very fresh - extremely delicious! We had extra drinks & my friend treated me to my Afternoon Tea so I can honestly say my long drive was very worth it…excellent service & fabulous, tasty fresh food. Highly recommend a visit to this lovely Tea Shop! Thank you & wish you all the best for 2023. We’ll be back….!

13-11-21, Mum & I decided to find a nice ‘friendly’ ‘welcoming’ quiet/quaint lil village cafe (that we’ve never been to before) to go into & have a nice cup of tea & a snack or two in the name of cakes & sandwiches or something like that.We was greeted with an extremely rude unwelcoming & arrogant attitude,we was made to feel like wtf are you doing in here !!! The woman working in the cafe said to us “I’m closing in half an hour what is it you wanted” (not to mention the filthy look she gave my Mother & i) to which I replied “ I just wanted to take my Mum (who is in her 70’s !!! ) to a nice cafe for a lite bite and a nice cup of tea to which she replied “well ive turned everything in the kitchen of now and as I said I’m closing in half an hour” We arrived at ‘The Little Teapot’ at 15:30,the cafe should specify on their website & on the cafe door tbqh that last orders for food is at 15:30,we were made to feel like we was an inconvenience to them ~ WOW !!! We left never to return again !!!

Popped into this sweet little tea room today with my friend, must say it's pretty has a warm feeling quite cosy and clean. It was my first visit my friend booked our table, we looked over menu chose afternoon tea I paid the extra 50p on the afternoon tea so I could have the better sandwich ham and piccalilli. Also the afternoon tea came with salad pot of coleslaw and quiche, I don't eat quiche or coleslaw so friend had them, also got crisps aldi posh crisps, cheese and onion they was a bit of a let down barely any flavour, but there food they had made was amazing. Also we got a giant pot of tea that didn't leak isint that amazing, proper tea cups n saucers, a fairly big milk to go between the 2 of us. The cake after we chose we got the cheesecake and they give a really good sized portion I had twirl cheesecake. So my afternoon tea was around £10.50 friends was they same. The customer service in here was fantastic very polite the lady that served us. Would definitely go back I even saw the special board after so we will visit again.

I booked a table for 3 for my mums birthday, she has been here before and loved it. I had to change this booking to 2 people as my boyfriend was ill. This wasn’t a problem for them. They are very quick at responding to messages too (on Messenger) I was going to have a coronation chicken sandwich, but decided to have mango chicken instead as I haven’t had that flavour before. I am glad I did as it was lovely, thick pieces of chicken in mango chutney. It came served with a side salad, homemade coleslaw and crisps. (£4.75) My mum had a quiche of the day with jacket potato and the same side salad as me. (£5.95) For my drink I had a hot chocolate (£2.50) with one of the many delicious syrups (toasted marshmallow - 50p) There is a variety of homemade desserts in the counter, I went for the passion fruit cheesecake, it was lovely! The decor of the cafe is beautiful too, and the place looks tidy. I would definitely come again, especially for their upcoming Christmas afternoon tea!

Booked for afternoon tea for my friends birthday. When we arrived it was very busy and very noisy but it was half term so I suppose it was to be expected . Straight away I noticed how fumey it was and all the windows were steamed up but at first it didn't really bother us. The staff greeted us with a friendly welcome and we were given a nice table. We opted for the premier afternoon tea which consisted of mixed sandwiches a cake and a scone with tea.the tea arrived in a very big tea pot which was nice followed shortly by the afternoon tea. I've seen better presentation if I'm honest the top layer was scattered with lettuce leaves which was a bit strange. There was the sandwiches, crisps and a pot of coleslaw. All the food tasted nice and the staff topped up our tea pot. The scone came after we had finished our sandwiches . This was delicious it came with jam and cream. When we had finished this the staff came around with the sweet board . I thought this was a little strange as we were expecting a choice of cake not a sweet. There was a nice selection . I have got to say at this point the fumes from the cooking/ kitchen became unbearable the staff had opened a window but it was having little effect. There was so many people in such a small space this was making it worse. We decided to take the sweets away with us. The food was good the staff were nice and it was reasonably priced ,not like any other afternoon tea I've had before , food wise, but pleasant enough. I'm not sure I would visit again because of being packed together and the fumes. There are plenty of other places for afternoon tea to choose from. If they could maybe take out a table and sort out the ventilation it would be so much nicer.

I visited the venue with and friend and children who were over in the uk on holiday.Upon entering the tea room we found a table with no reserved sign (there were only 2 other people in the tea room at the time). Before we could sit down a member of staff came out of the kitchen and shouted across the room in a very rude tone that the table would be needed at 11.45 (we arrived at 10.45!). There was no warm welcome or taking the time to walk across and just check how long we thought we would be. We ordered drinks (including 2 white hot chocolates) and a scone. The children's hot chocolates were lovely but I am certain the white got chocolate was actually Horlicks and scone was disappointing. In other coffee shops I have been to they have made the drinks with real white chocolate and given the price I assumed would be the same here. Presentation however was lovely. Whilst we had our drinks we witnessed another couple receiving the same unfriendly welcome. There are lots of lovely tea rooms and coffee shops in our area now so customer service and customer experience is so important and I certainly won't be returning or recommending to friends and family.

Waited 45 mins for a bowl of soup and sandwiches and a quiche salad,on eating the salad I could smell an odd smell but it wasn't my food, thought it was something the plate had been washed in?Seeing my husband struggling to get through his soup, I said what is it? He said I couldn't tell you what it is it's awful !Ah says I on smelling it, that was the awful smell ! and it tasted odd to say the least. So we called the waitress over and asked what the soup was? Vegetable she says, no veg in it my husband says ! It tastes awful, must be the spices in it she says and marches off! No apology no offers of alternative.Consequently it was left.On paying no apology no explanation .Needless to say off the list with this place.Perhaps we were the wrong age group for this establishment!!

We visited the Little Teapot on a drizzly Saturday before our trip to Grimsby, we're very glad we did. The small tea room buzzed with people, rang with the sound of chatter and laughter. We'd booked pour table so sat and looked over the menu. We decided to all have Afternoon tea, The little Teapot even do a child's version which was perfect for our 3yo. Sandwiches, scone, cake and coffee. Perfect. The food was beautiful and very reasonably priced. Coffee, Sandwhich, salad, coleslaw, crisps, scone (with butter, clotted cream and jam) and a slice of cake for under £10. The girl, who's name I missed, who served us worked incredibly hard whilst we were there. She didn't get a chance to breathe but she still came across polite, pleasant and friendly. One thing I will say, this is not meant as any sort of negative comment, quite the opposite in fact. The Little TeaPot is not a place to go when you're in a rush, its not fast food, it's not meant to be sped through. In my opinion, going to a tea room is more about the time taken away from rushing, enjoy the sit, the time to chat, savour the atmosphere and enjoy it. We shall return to The Little Teapot, a treat as nice as this is one to be repeated.

We visited with our small dog and we were all made to feel welcome. The orders were taken and delivered quickly and all was a good standard. A great cup of tea and a a tasty jacket potato. The staff were friendly and efficient, and nothing was too much trouble - even cooking and cutting us a sausage for the dog.We will return!

Have tried most restaurants in the area for afternoon tea and always a little disappointed but not today The Little Teapot served amazing selection of food all top quality and value for money. The service was good and we were made to feel welcome by the owner Elisha and her staff. Today we found the perfect restaurant for afternoon tea with a good menu can't wait to try the breakfast.

We took our two granddaughters to The Little Teapot and found the tea room maintains its consistency of service and quality. There's a great children's menu for breakfast, and for the four of us, prices were very fair and reasonable. I chose the small breakfast as I don't have a huge appetite and the portion size of the small breakfast was perfectly adequate. Compared to our last visit, I felt that the quality of the sausage and bacon were not quite as good, but this is a minor point.Service was prompt and polite and the food came quickly to the table, and was exactly as ordered. We'll certainly return, either for breakfast or for tea and cake.

Lovely lunch of toasted sandwiches (as no baguettes available ??) and a wonderful selection of cakes. Definitely be back for afternoon tea - only downside, perhaps too many tables squashed in!!

A lovely lunch for four today. We all had choices not necessarily from the menu but staff were really accommodating. All the food was delicious (uneaten was boxed and taken home). Desserts are to die for, the only downside is the fact it was so delicious and portions so generous we all wanted to relax afterwards because we were so wonderfully full - recommend a visit

Went to meet up with a friend here, we ordered tea and scone also toasted teacake. They came quickly and was fine,a large pot of tea enough for 2 cups and some left, scone was full of fruit teacake large and the pots of butter was slightly warm which was nice as it is so hard to spread if strait from fridge. Waitress friendly but not intrusive. Would go again.

Like most women I love a good afternoon tea. I've travelled around various places in pursuit of the 'ultimate' but this place never lets me down. Good, well filled sandwiches, gorgeous coleslaw, bottomless tea and a huge portion of cake. What's not to love?Coming here feels warm and homely, parking is good (major plus), staff friendly. My 'go to' place for a chilled out catch up with friends.

Had a lovely lunch with a friend and her granddaughter - nothing was too much trouble. My grandson had his favourite sausage bacon and beans with toast as did my friends granddaughter. The adults had a beautiful quiche which came with half jacket with cheese and lovely salad and coleslaw. The staff were friendly and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or visit again - thanks

This is not a five star restaurant, but it is an excellent tea shop. We were looking for a snack at lunch time and drove through Laceby and came across this wonderful little place. It is squeaky clean, the owner and staff and most friendly and helpful We both had a bowl of soup and a roll, and not only was it excellent value, but it was also very good. Would certainly return.By the way, we did not sample the cakes and gateaux's on display, but my they looked good.

We regularly visit the little teapot for afternoon tea and have never been disappointed. The Sandwiches are all made fresh to order and there is a good selection to choose from. Cakes always a good variety on offer too with a selection of sponges, brownies, meringues and cheesecakes amongst others. My only issue is that it can feel a bit cramped in there. I know it's a small place and they need the seats but if the tables are full it's very difficult to meander around without other diners having to move which is a little bit awkward especially when people are eating. Cannot fault the food though and staff are always pleasant and efficient.

Went to the Little Teapot for lunch on Friday with my daughter and mother in law and have to say how lovely it was. The soup was delicious and the food all went down well. The staff were lovely and very polite and we asked for cakes to takeaway and they couldn't have been more helpful. Well done ladies not always easy working with the public but you definitely got it right. Will be back soon

Attitude of staff not good. I asked if we could sit anywhere...' No! all tables reserved'. Staff member then said ' well you should have booked' They make no effort to check if a table could become vacant within the next 15 mins.We did get a table because someone else was leaving, due to staff attitude. I ordered a pot of tea and it was dropped in front of me with no smile or apology. We where there about an hour and one of the reserved tables was still empty ????Food was ok, but we felt very unwelcome which spoilt the meal out with my friend.

My daughter, i and two friends were looking forward to lunch and a catch up today at the little Tea Pot but was really disappointed. The toilets are dirty and not very welcoming and the staff we felt had an attitude. We was squashed by the door and people couldn't get passed,( there are to many tables) and when we decided to move to a table that was becoming free the staff with blonde hair shouted its reserved, no sorry or a smile..So we decided to leave, my friend explained why we was leaving and she wasn't bothered, again no sorry. We went to once upon a time just around the corner were the staff were so nice and friendly and the food was beautiful, we will definitely go back again. Definitely not going back to the little tea pot and will tell others to go to once upon a time instead.

We booked this place for a light lunch after having a couple of good reports about it. It's located on Laceby square, parking is just in the square or round the corner in the car park behind the public house park, only 100 meters away. The place is very clean and tidy and the Staff & Service was very friendly helpful and very efficient, they couldn't have been nicer. We had a light lunch and the baked potato with chicken and bacon + mayo was excellent, and also was the meals the other 2 in the party had. There was plentiful tea for 2 cups for each of us and we were offered more if we required it. Decor was very nice and appropriate for the establishment. There were also a very nice selection of cakes. Definitely recommend.

Just been for afternoon tea at this cafe. It is a real step back in time and food was served on delicate china with a lovely large tea pot. The sandwiches were freshly made and served on a tiered stand. The cakes were all home made and delicious. Staff were very friendly and it was a very pleasant experience. It is quite popular so booking is advisable.

Visited The Little Teapot for a family lunch. On opening the door we were welcomed by the smell of frying. We sat down and everything felt a little "dingy" like it needed a really good scrub. More like a caff than a tea room. We ordered drinks straight away as we could see there was only one front of house staff so expected a little wait. The menu was varied for a tea room and we made our choices. The small breakfast was good value for money and was rated good, as were the scrambly eggs on toast. My bacon and Brie panini was unfortunately ruined by the strong herbs in the panini (not advertised) and the chicken panini was over powered by barbecue sauce. We ordered 2 desserts, a scone and a toffee cheesecake but received a bounty cheesecake instead but we didn't want to bother the staff to change it, so ate it.Generally felt that staff were unapproachable, the atmosphere was unfriendly and unwelcoming and that it would benefit from a deep clean - including crockery. It was a busy little tea room and could be a real gem but has to pay some attention to customer service if it wants people to return was our opinion.

Been to abbys numerous times over the year's but never had the fish and chips until now. Ordered the small portion as I fancied a dessert how wrong was I it was so big that I couldn't finish it. Best fish I have had in a long time needless to say I will have to have the dessert next time, service as usual was excellent.

Incredible gem in an incredible location. Came for a birthday meal with the 3 course Sunday option. Seated in lobby and brought a drink and menus to browse until we were shown our table which our starters came promptly. All 3 courses were exceptional and well received by all party members. Staff were lovely and helpful and offered great service. Would highly recommend this establishment and it’s not too out of anyone’s price range for a special occasion whatsoever - very very reasonable. Thankyou for having us and most definitely look forward to a return visit ☺️
