"SPECIAL DIETS - Vegan Options, Gluten Free Options, Vegetarian Friendly" is what the listing here says, but when I asked what the Vegan Options were, I was told "We don't have any, this isn't a vegan eatery". It's a shame because I used to come here fairly regularly a couple of years ago, and the staff and menu were vegan friendly and it was never too much trouble to come up with something - so I would bring friends here (meat eaters and non-meat eaters) and everyone was happy. Still, on the plus side, it's a nice place. Just if you have a vegan in your party, or you want to eat environmentally friendly, then unfortunately The Little Restaurant is no longer an option. :(

We were ready for lunch and came across The Steamer quite by accident, making our way to the markets. We weren’t put off by the outside appearance because of the sign saying homemade food served daily. We made our way in and was greeted by very friendly staff who showed us the restaurant. We viewed the menus and made our choice and the meal was ordered. It came in a reasonable amount of time, for the chef to prepare the breathtaking displays of food, my only wish was I should have taken photos. I had the ham with egg, chips and salad. My cousin had cheese and onion pie with a jacket potato and salad. The food looked very impressive on our plates and most definitely homemade. I don’t think it’s the sea breeze that made it so tasty but it was truly amazing food. We are definitely making plans to go back. I didn’t realise until we got home that it’s Syd Little and his wife’s little gem. We hadn’t seen either of them but the staff they had seeing to us were truly fantastic. Well done to all. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Had great lunch Friday here. I had fish, chips and peas and my partner and friend had the fish special. The haddock was absolutely lovely, probably the best I've had (and I love my fish and chips) quality fish, cooked to perfection. Holly the chef is a lovely woman who took the time to talk to us, as did Syd. Will definitely be going back to try other food on the menu. Holly is clearly passionate about the food she buys and cooks and it shows.

X3 kids plus grandparents. Early evening visit. The Little Restaurant is situated at the back on The Steamer pub. Small and cosy seating , our waitress was very welcoming and soon sorted colouring books for the kids. The menu catered for everyone’s taste. Great specials offered. Highly recommend the seafood platter and the shepherds pie with root veg topping. My 8 year old went for a small rump steak and chips!!! He ate the lot. Great size portions and lovely home prepared food. Will definitely return. This place is an absolute gem!

Visiting grandchildren in cleveleys I had some time free and went to the oldest pub in Fleetwood, the Steamer. My Grandad must have gone there decades ago when he was a trawler captain. Lively karaoke in the bar. And a nice. Separate restaurant Staff were very welcoming and friendly, service was excellent and the food was great, really lovely. During the meal I was surprised by the restaurants owner, Syd Little, appearing and making a point of talking to everyone. When Syd realised I was from Bristol we had a chat about Eddie, and wishing him very good health. Lovely to meet and chat to someone who entertained and gave me so much pleasure over many years, and the food was lovely. I’d recommend the restaurant to anyone living in or visiting Fleetwood

Travelled 300 miles to visit Sid little and his wife's restaurant after watching him on tv on the spur of the moment decided to go with hubby for lunch. Its inside a pub ,but separate Well got a seat a lovely young waitress took our order of home made steak pie chips and peas, while we waited in popped Sid little and he spoke to every table which was lovely to see him very lovely man, we later heard his wife was on bar duty so my husband was served by her. The pie was the best I had ever had full of steak, it was a shame the chips were frozen kind instead of proper chips but still enjoyed them and good price too, had a look around Fleetwood market and a walk on promenade before heading home, would defiantly recommend this quaint restaurant too

Very good plain food at reasonable prices and upon looking at the menu some good offers e.g. 2 steak meals and a bottle of wine for under £20. Our food was well cooked, filling and tasty. We were served by Syd who was very personable and down to earth and who was quite prepared to stop and have a brief chat with all the customers. As others have already said, If your expecting a fine dining venue then this is not that sort of place but if you like well executed home cooking then I would recommend you give the Little restaurant a visit if you are in the area.

If you're hungry this is the place to go. No cordon bleu or nouvelle cuisine here, but lovely, tasty huge meals served with a smile. The mixed grill cooked to perfection. The beef Madras spicy hot and loads of it. The price really reasonable. Wish I lived closer so I could revisit. You do need to fetch your own drinks from the bar in the other room, but that's no hardship. With a decent Merlot at less than a tenner you can't go wrong.

Sid made us two lovely lattes £1.95 but they didn't do decaf unfortunately. They do a 3 course meal for £9.95 or 2 course for £8.95 and one course for £6.95 have a special curry each day and a Sunday roast. The curry night was the usual great value, with a Curry, Poppadum and relishes + a pint (or wine) for just under £7. A large group of us went for a meal at 6.30 on Friday evening. This restaurant is run by Syd Little (from Little & Large) and his wife Sherrie does the cooking. Unfortunately Syd was away on a cruise and you could tell the difference. The food was very good, however one of our Starters (Garlic Bread) did not appear until after most of us had finished ours, even though we pointed out that it was missing. A couple of people had a Mixed Grill, one of them had all the right food on the plate, but the Sausage for the other one arrived over 5 minutes after the meal had been served. Also a coffee cup was served with a chip in the top, which isn't very hygienic. We could have coped with all this as we were a large party (however there were only another 6 people in total in the restaurant), and the Staff serving were young, however the one thing that put us all off, and this is reflected in our score, was the amount of flies that were in the restaurant. All through the meal they were flying around you and trying to land on your food. It wasn't a particularly warm evening, so we didn't know why there were so many flies, but this definitely spoiled our evening. The food was really good, so it is a shame that this has put us off going back.

Arrived as stated, the steak was exellent. A special mention must be made of the Gammon Steak, it was divine, a nice thick, old fashioned lush Gammon the likes as we haven't seen for many years. One persons loss is another's massive boost. Since Mr and Mrs Little opened the restaurant and tea room this pub has never been as busy. Syd is obviously more relaxed and welcomes new customers as well as the loyal people who have followed him to the bigger and better run restaurant. The staff are friendly and couldn't be more attentive. Syd takes orders and serves with gusto and great humour. It seems the food has improved also probably due to the new kitchen. The room has been decorated to a very high standard and is much bigger than the last room. If this is full, which has been several times since opening, you're more than welcome to sit and eat anywhere in the pub. Just let the staff know.

Sadly, I had a very negative experience here. After a very long walk I asked whether they served cheesy chips was spoken to and looked at with disdain and told no. When I was searching for the food menu I was informed menus were on the table. This menu had cheese on a number of items including as a topping for Jacket Potato. I explained I understood what I'd been told I just wondered if you could sell me cheese as a side ( most places are accommodating to their customers) I was again told we don't do cheesy chips or comes on top of the potato ( which surely you need to add?!) I said I would go somewhere else and was told you do that. I turned around and told her she had a bad attitude. She made me feel little and humiliated in front of a room of customers. I hope she has a few more people don't bother going in because of her rudeness maybe she'll learn some kindness. The lack of helpfulness fine they don't do it her lack of kindness quite another.

Just outstanding! When this opened, I thought, ‘why does Poulton need another cafe?’. How wrong I was. This is just incredible. Everything I have had from there is absolutely fantastic quality - the toasties are out of this world! The soup is always lovely. The iced coffee are fantastic too. They even made an omelette for my daughter who is 18 months and she loved it. Nothing is too much trouble. In short - top quality food, great service - what more could you want?
