My daughter took me for afternoon tea on Saturday for Mother’s Day, the staff were lovely and really helpful and friendly, the afternoon tea was really good we really enjoyed it and it made my Mother’s day, I would definitely recommend this place

Such a shame that this cafe is so poor as the facilities are really nice, especially for families. But the food was terrible. One of the worst toasties I've ever had (how can you get a toastie wrong ??) and the chai tea was so weak and tasteless. Unfortunately won't be visiting again.

First time here with my family including 2 dogs. Very warm welcome & all our quirky requests catered for. Drinks lovely & hot & the food was freshly cooked. Fabulous hosts - will definitely be back 💖

One of the best tearooms I have ever been to, anywhere. Thank you for a really delicious lunch today. I went for lunch with family and 2 dogs today and absolutely everything was perfect. Nothing could be faulted. We had a range of things and all were really lovely and home made. What they also have so right is their gorgeous crockery and cutlery - proper tea leaves in a tea pot that didn’t leak everywhere, china cup and saucer, decent sized proper china coffee cups, lovely plates and bowls. Its was an absolute joy to eat here. The couple who served us were absolutely lovely and we all said how welcoming and accommodating they were. The decor is charming and loved the cake cabinet! The dogs even had their biscuits served in little bowls! I would wholeheartedly recommend this lovely tearoom, most definitely would go back. I wish I didn’t live 350 miles away otherwise I’d be in at least once a week. Please open a branch on the south coast!

We came in here for coffee and a snack whilst waiting for an appointment in the town. Coffee was ok but nothing special. Fancy tea with vanilla was reportedly quite nice. We shared a scone - rubbery and not nice. Suspect it had been warmed in a microwave. Won’t be hurrying back.

Love coming here, the staff are so friendly and amazing with our little boy and the food is great-excellent selection of teas and coffees. It's good to visit such a child friendly place

We came to Northallerton market and stopped off for tea and toast. The staff were supper friendly food and drink were excellent and it had a real homely atmosphere. We will be back …. I can thoroughly recommend this cafe/ tea room

A very nice dog friendly tea room in the heart of Northallerton. Comfortable surroundings and lovely food run by very nice and welcoming staff.

We visit Northallerton regularly but have not come across this little tearoom before. It was very busy but we patiently waited for a table to become available outside and were able to sit in the sunshine. The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We loved the quirky mismatch of china tea cups and saucers and plates and proper tea tastes so much nicer from a china cup and saucer. We both selected sandwiches which were freshly prepared and came with a salad and dressing garnish and real crisps and a little pot of mustard on the side for the ham. We asked for extra hot water for the tea and this was provided immediately despite them being extremely busy. It is obviously a very popular place and we chatted with a couple of the regular customers who were very friendly. We would definitely come here again the next time we come down to Northallerton.

Best gluten-free sandwich ever - I usually avoid ordering one, but the Little Acorn Tea Room has realised even gluten-free bread is ok when toasted and the cheese and roasted veg filling was delish. Friendly service and lovely seating area outside, in a quiet courtyard just off the main road. Great find, just over 10 mins walk from the station.

Excellent Mothers day Afternoon tea for 4. Excellent service and great selection of sandwiches and cakes. Unlimited tea and coffee all served by friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. This is our second visit and we will return again.

We went into The Little Acorn yesterday, and when I walked in with my wife i was given a very glare from the manager and totally ignored my wife and myself. We were then greeted by another member of staff. I started to look around and noticed that the staff were walking around with phones in their back pockets and where very loud talking to each other about personal issues that we didn't want to hear. Where we were sitting was very dirty and it looked as if the window ledges and floors hadn't been cleaned for a while. We weren't made to feel welcome and I feel that the tea room has become a very unpleasant place to go to. When the 2 new cafes open in a few months they will need to up their game immensely.

Popped in for coffee and cake for the first time, and found a beautifully decorated room with a calming atmosphere. Lovely, moist, home-made carrot cake and a generous mug of mocha, for a reasonable price. I don't get into Northallerton that often, but when I do you will doubtless find me in here with a book.

This quaint cafe offers the usual tea, coffee, snacks and light meals with china crockery and a mixture of tables/chairs as well as outstanding customer service. This cafe also offers gluten free bread and cakes, lactose alternatives in soya/oat milk. In the large unisex/accessible WC there is not just a baby changing unit but also a high chair ( ideal to allow parent/carer to use facilities with ease). I thoroughly enjoyed a quality packed bacon sandwich on toasted gluten free bread with a pot of English tea.

My friend and I popped in for a cuppa, what a gorgeous cafe. At the moment it's looking very festive. An Immaculately clean cafe, with lovely food and tea, and amazingly friendly staff. Very reasonable too! On the way out, I popped to the toilet! They also were immaculately clean,What attention to detail. Such a massive shout out for this hidden gem! We dropped in here as the other (more established) tea rooms in town had long queues outside. It worked in our favour as it is a ver nice little place. 5 out of 5, would visit again.

Tucked away off the Main Street in Northallerton is this lovely tea room. Peaceful, comfortable and welcoming. We had bacon sandwiches on granary bread along with a pot of tea and a cappuccino, very nice indeed.

This recently opened within the month. Stumble upon it while a Sunday stroke around Northallerton. Very friendly and helpful. Not a huge menu but some nice home made food. In comfortable surroundings. Worth a pop in and could become a hidden gem.
