Really tasty food and very good service from the waiters. The décor could be more elegante, but it's a very good choice for lunch or dinner in London.

As an lover of "proper pubs I can only say say that this more than meets any criteria . The staff.especially, the bar manager were great. I can only wait for my next allowed visit

Stubbled across this pub on Friday night and so glad we did. Friendly welcome at the bar, acknowledgeable service on drinks/brands available. Good food options, reasonably priced, would recommend the crumbed fish sandwich. Nice place with a good vibe and music not pumping so can have a good catch up with friends. Try this place if you want a great bar/pub venue for a get together (where you can hear yourself speak!).

This current incarnation of this location as the Lion opened after an internal refit in September 2016. I cannot comment on how it appears compared to its previous periods as the Red Lion, The White Horse and formerly O’Niels because this was my first visit to this location. Although the current décor is under two years old internally it has been made to look like it’s been here a lot longer and the use of red leather Chesterfield banquettes and reproduction period brewery mirrors and Victorian period prints does provide some traditional pub character. But then some other design features such as the exposed wiring pipes and the modern metal frame bar back does give the game away that this is a reconditioned interior. Its target market are the office workers in the glass towers around the Houndsditch part of the city and on the week before Christmas it had the advantage of not being manically busy, unlike some of the more traditional pubs close to Liverpool Street station and we were able to park ourselves close to the small rectangular bar that does still seem to be the same set up from the previous guises. The bar supports two banks of chrome taps with some modern craft offerings either side of three real ale hands pumps. For our visit these were dispensing Purity UBU and a very passable Hogs Back TEA with the third reversed. But as it had been Sharps Doombore no loss there. It proved to be a comfortable place for a couple of pints and as the Houndsditch is not blessed with traditional drinking establishments I can see myself returning.

Bon choix de bières ainsi que des bonnes tapas à prendre entre amis un vrai régal. À refaire rapidement...

Small but very nicely done out pub/ bar serving a decent range of beers. Food also very good (the 241 stone baked pizzas in the evening are an absolute steal). Staff are all young and smiley and the service good. Can't ask for more from a City pub really, has already become our regular.

I believe this pub used to be called The White Horse. Not sure what the old one was like but this was very nice. We walked passed it and it was empty but thought we would give it a try. Looked new inside, service was good as was the choice of drinks. Soon started filling up after we got here and my mate as already put this down as a possible for his Christmas Party.

Visited Wrights Cafe Pall Mall last weekend. The food was absolutely delicious! I also had a coffee and it was the best one i have had in the area….The prices are definitely on the cheaper side, especially for the area. Staff are friendly and helpful too. Definitely recommend to all!!!

Last evening we went as a group friends 9 in total to the restaurant. The quality and the quantity of food was poor. When we complained to one of the member of stuff, asking to see the manager or chef, no one came to us to explain or apologise! Definitely Won't go back ever again. ☹
