Nice place to get local food. My perception of the place is that it is focused to local people, instead of tourists. This makes it quite attractive because you get to see the true beauty of eating as a local, without annoying tourist traps. I totally recommend this place

Super recommended for breakfast. Sandwiches of all kinds, British breakfast, pancakes... The prices are very good. The bad thing is that it doesn't have a bathroom. However, there is a Mac Donalds nearby so you can go to the toilet.

I feel you can always tell from the outside if a greasy spoon type of establishment is worth entering by the amount of workmen eating inside Therefore it was without hesitation that I entered Poppins earlier this week, as it was brimming with people in orange or fluorescent colored clothing. There is a huge variety on the menu with option of add-ons, and this is not limited to just cooked breakfasts. We were seated and served quickly, but at no point felt hurried. Poppins was a wonderful find on a miserable wet morning.

Came with my friends for lunch we had such lovely delicious food can’t go wrong with an old traditional English breakfast! Food and service was excellent, definitely recommend coming to this cafe especially during the week as the waitress made our day! 🩷

Me and group of girls came down to poppins cafe on a weekend and was very pleased.... the food was yummy most of us had pankcake number 1, the female staff was sooo polite & sweet her service was 10 / 10 i would highly recommend poppins cafe .

It’s one the best cafes I have been to in London whatever you like or dislike the staff are always helpful especially the waitress always got a smile on her face the food is always freshly cooked you get a lot for your money top staff top food

Food is alright. Staff is very rude and found them laughing at our table multiple times and at one stage a female member of staff was pointing at us while doing so. Very uncomfortable atmosphere came from this behaviour. Was here once before and a young male staff member was very lovely to deal with. Horrible service this time, will not be back.

Went to london for a holiday and came to poppins cafe for breakfast twice. the first day the food was gorgeous and the male staff member was as good as gold and so nice. the second time we went there, it was a girl serving us who showed nothing but disrespect. i came in and asked for a table for 4 and she gave me a dirty look and pointed at the cafe. me and my friends sat down and ordered our food. one of my friends asked for mask potatoes as a side with her breakfast and she waitress gave her a confused face, then going “mash potatoes? as a side?” and sighed and wrote it down. the food came and the chicken in my sandwich was freezing cold and every time we look at the waitress, she was pointing and laughing at us with another staff member. do not recommend this cafe as staff are so rude

Great little caff, not too many of these in central London. Classic options such a fried breakfasts, as well as jacket potatoes, lasagne etc. Good portions, tasty and quick service. Probably paid a bit more than I'd like for a fry up, but then again it's central London so expected. Worth a visit if you're in the area and need a fry up!

Great find down side alley off Fleet Street...Big portion, well cooked and quickly served up... squeezed but made for good atmosphere..definitely going back again...👍

Been to this cafe twice now. So basically rumours were spreading about this cafe. Massive portions, great prices, good food. So far I'm inclined to believe the rumours. Me and my mate both got identical meals. Two sausage, 2 bacon, beans, chips, couple slices of toast and a cup of tea. Got this for lunch. I was stuffed everything was great. In fed and out in half hour for a score. Love it love it love love. Give it another month and I might push this to 5 star.

For the location, price and quantity were good (had breakfast no. 6) but it was a all bit bland. Sausage was slightly above average.

Very cramped, but the place is decent. Good choice of breakfast and reasonably priced. Portions are pretty generous.

Ce resto est plutot accueillant...dommage que le steak des burger était un peu passé car on s'est payé une bonne indigestion quelques heures après... C'est peut être un bon endroit pour les petits dejs, mais les burgers sont à revoir. En plus du steak périmé, les frites et le pain sont totalement industrielles ... cela a au moins le mérite d'avoir un service rapide. Assez décevant...

Great cafe in the heart of Blackfriars/Fleet Street. Extensive menu with plenty of options for vegetarians. Very clean and quick service and good value for the city. To make it a 5 star I would want more butter on the toast and thicker bread.

Certainly not value for money. Double egg, double bacon and sausage (tea and toast) is over £6. Had to order a side of beans as extra. My friends fried egg was over cooked and our toast was burnt. All other breakfasts with all the works are just shy of £10. See my other review of the Smithfield cafe if you need a proper value for money breakfast.

Such a hidden gem in London..the best food I have eaten..breakfast or lunch, fish or burger, pies or eggs, fries or hash brown..choose anything and it's bound to he good wholesome and more than enough.. Absolute value for money...dont forget to try their gravy with the chips.

Food smells amazing but they no longer do pancakes. If you are a wheelchair user there are two small steps in and then it’s a very crowded cafe. We needed to transfer….only to then find they no longer do the pancakes we’d come for! Food smells incredible though but we’re off to hunt pancakes instead

When I worked near fleet st this cafe was always a must used this place for over 20 years would highly recommend it. Food was always ok & reasonably priced.

Thanks Google for helping us to find this little gem ! After spending several days in London eating overpriced and lack lustre breakfasts we found Poppins Cafe,1st class food and very fast service . Best breakfast in a longtime ! Only gripe there is no toilet, although we went to M and S a couple of minutes walk away.

Having searched for a cafe from Borough Market to Fleet Street serving breakfast/brunch which wasn’t booked, we chanced upon Poppins and were very glad we did so. Two really nice breakfasts with perfectly fried eggs and a decent mug of coffee. Great value too.

Poppins Cafe is tucked away in Poppins Court the City of London EC4. Poppins Court lies just off Fleet Street EC4 - nearest to the junction of Ludgate Circus/ Ludgate Hill/ Farringdon Street. A delightful little cafe with a modern appearance inside and out. Clean and very well organised by friendly efficient staff and always happy to serve! I personally thank the owner for his very kind hospitality by taking three photos of my wife and I in the cafe! A big thumbs 👍 up for photo memories. The breakfast lunch was 'SUPERB! The food very tasty, generous in size and one I would never forget for such a hearty meal to last the day. A good choice variation on the menu. I personally recommend folks to try the 'New York Chicken 🍔 burger buns - hot chocolate and ☕ Coffee Cappuccino drinks went down a treat! My wife and I arrived here at around 1115am, it was very busy with mostly London workers and other visitors providing a real lively atmosphere. We will certainly return to Poppins Cafe in the future - already a favourite in my reckoning. Just one thing to note here, there are no toilets in the cafe? That aside, perfect! Had a lovely New York Burger🍔 and Chips 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ also coffee was very good, at reasonable prices. Nice friendly staff. (Only one thing NO LOO, so 4 stars.) A must do visit, note all the food looked very good, that why it was busy.

Reasonly priced restaurant in a quiet alley of a busy district. They provide all day breakfast.

Huge portion sizes perfect for a good lunch and food coma afterwards!! Needs more seating as can get quite busy but is down an alleyway so extra space isn't available

This little cafe has changed hands and been refurbished since my last visit many years ago but it is a great little place, and still offers very good value. We arrived just at the end of the lunch-time rush which clearly attracted many regulars as they were all on first name terms with the staff. Service was prompt and friendly and the food was excellent - to say nothing of being served in very generous portions.

The service was moody and surly. The cafe is pretty basic, old style. Prices aren't too steep but for the quality of food not that cheap either. The food is like a cafe from the 19080s, poor ingredients, very basic, tastes of cardboard. Would not recommend unless you're desperate for some strange sense of 'authenticity'.

Friendly service and a long menu of all the old favourites which made it a difficult choice! Food was hot and tasty, and served quickly well cooked and not full of grease like some cafes I’ve been to in the past. Took a Filipino colleague with me for breakfast who thought it was great. Will visit again.
