Four of us booked in for dinner after Liphook Carnival. Not much of a Carnival... that's another story....the Links is nice decor but our meals were bad.. not mash for cottage pie...fish look old with fish and chips...my Bolognese was small portion.. even the wine, a small given for medium size..pub lady tried to help by taking £30 off food bill..... think we'll leave going back for a while..

Disappointing. The food is very over priced. My sister had the burger. Which was small and basic, but most shockingly came with 12 chips! I had the pie, which was small but tasty. The "creamy mash" wasn't creamy at all, but the cabbage was fresh and crispy. The total, with drinks, I believe to have been £40 odd for the 2 of us, and we left still hungry. We have been to other pubs locally, much in the same price bracket, but with much better food quality and portion size.

Good local, typical Fuller's pub. Good can be a bit hit and miss. i.e chicken Caesar salad great, Chicken roast a bit dry and spuds not the best. Otherwise a good place for a drink and family. Bar side super cosy and welcoming, restaurant side feels a bit loud and cold sometimes

Excellent food, excellent service. There is a great menu with food for all tastes, and at a reasonable price. The server we had was very courteous, helpful, and had a great memory, remembering 8 different orders of both starter & main! The ambience is relaxing & warm, a real English country pub!

Lovely pub, we visited today with family and chose here from a random Google search as it was half way for everyone. Pub was lovely, and food was delicious. Outdoor seating area was perfect in beautiful weather. Staff where attentive and very accomadating when we wanted to swap our booked table indoors to outdoor seating. Would go again and wish we lo Iived closer to do so.

This was our second visit. On arrival the table was all set up and the first guests were asked if they were happy to stay outside or to be moved inside where they had an alternative table set up just in case. The food order was taken at the bar and the staff were really good with the food allergies and ensured that the veg were cooked separately. The food arrived all together. Which on a table of 10 is impressive. There was a slight issue with a few of the meals being sent out without the potatoes, but they were quickly sent out with many apologies. The food itself was delicious. Everything cooked to perfection. I really can't fault it. Throughout the whole meal the staff were so friendly and helpful. The place was spotlessly clean throughout and I love the outside covered area which allows for outside eating in the less that brilliant English summer. I really can't recommend this place enough. I just wish it was closer as I would definitely come here more often.

Excellent service! I had a Sunday roast outside in their lovely seating area, which had shady and sunny spots, and even blankets for the winter to hand. The food was gorgeous, came out quickly, and was very filling. The whole team was incredibly understanding and when the food was missing a few items, came out with more food to compensate. Even the manager came out to personally apologise, even for the small inconvenience. Wonderful experience from the staff here and the food matched that service!

Good points; lovely looking pub, friendly staff. Burgers were nice and the ham and chicken pie of the day also. Unfortunately some disappointing other food. Kale on it's own as the greens to accompany the pie. Had creamed spinach as a side, see photo, which was a pile of spinach leaves that someone had simply poured cream over.

Make sure you eat before coming here because I guarantee you will leave hungry! The prices for a roast are ridiculous given the poor quality and lack of portion you receive. You're better off going to see your nan in her care home and having their roast dinners rather than this sorry excuse of a meal. I cannot fault the staff though they are very welcoming and friendly.

Saturday lunchtime, sat outside. The pub is in a green and leafy area which makes for a great setting off point for walks and a stopping point if you’re on your way somewhere. The interior is smartly decorated and the pub on the whole is attractive with large, clean outdoor areas. The toilets are very clean. Parking is ample. The person behind the bar had a smile and was welcoming. However, there were several shortcomings which I’d raise. Firstly, the food is incredibly overpriced. Either the portion size needs to go up or the price needs to come down. A relatively average sized burger with a small cup of chips for almost £18 is ridiculous. I wanted bacon on my burger which was an additional charge but one rasher of bacon for £1.50 is insane. Blaming the brewery is not a reasonable excuse. Other Fuller’s pubs do not charge this amount as I live close to one myself, and a manager is able to speak to the brewery about charges. Although I have paid this much for a burger before, it normally comes with a side salad or something to make it stand out. This burger was distinctly average and the plate looked very bare when delivered to the table. Secondly, the ‘Goan chicken curry’ was served and was so unreasonably hot that a guest at my table couldn’t eat most of it and just ate the rice. If this is from a packet then the supplier needs to be spoken to about their recipe. If it hadn’t been for the nice weather and positive service, this meal probably would have ruined our day. Unfortunately, based on other reviews on here, it looks like prices have risen sharply recently. This is a shame as it seems like the pub is well kept and nice to visit, but lacking in common sense in some aspects. Unfortunately, looking at other reviews, it appears that whoever runs the business account enjoys answering with ‘thanks for the feedback’ next to negative reviews which just appears sarcastic and childish. I won’t be returning but I hope that whoever is in charge learns how to run what has the potential to be a really good pub.

What on earth has happened to this place? It used to be my favourite local and nowhere rivaled it, but recently the service has become very poor, the cost of each meal risen very noticeably and the portion sizes decreased. The food still very tasty but that's if they haven't 'run out' or closing the kitchen early. Have been going and taking friends and family to the Links frequently for past 2-3 years, but I think I will not be going back any time soon based on our two very recent and disappointing experiences.

Very wobbly table top, but got moved. Curt waitress with poor customer service skills, tiny Caesar salad (which was the large option) I dread to think what the smaller portion is like. Small portion of chips. No condiments came when asked. Was served salted caramel ice cream with the brownie pudding when it should have been vanilla. I've had much better service and food in this pub but today was disappointing. Unfortunately this is the new shrinkflation lifestyle we now have to accept.

I was a part of a party of 14 people and on first impressions, I was immediately saddened, when myself and a friend ordered a Passion Fruit Martini, the barman rolled his eyes and grunted so from the outset it was already unwelcoming from your staff. All members of the party arrived in good time, and had drinks outside, to then be asked to take our seats. The waitress very abruptly shouted to us once we were seated, that we had 5 minutes to order as the kitchen were running out of produce and listed a number of items on your menu that were unavailable. Our table was booked for 7.30 so we didn’t expect to hear this. We ordered shortly after this request, only to realise 4 of the main meals were either incorrect. When ordering a £14 ceasar salad, I didn’t expect my meal to arrive in what can only be described as a ramekin (picture attached with a bottle for scale). I would be surprised to see how a side salad is presented, given this was considered a main meal. A member of the table waited over 20 minutes for her meal to be corrected, by this time the majority of the party had already finished their main meals. For the entire duration of the meal, not one drinks order was take from the table, despite asking. When paying for table service, this is by the very least what you would expect. I must also stress that it took almost 40 minutes for the dirty plates to be cleared from the table once we had finished our main meals. No one came and asked if the meals that had arrived correctly were ok, or if we needed anything else. This is really very much the tip of the ice berg of the overall experience last night and I could expand further on the evening, but these are just a few key points that stand out.

2023 review - change the chef. Bad food in almost every possible way. Terrible wings that sting your eyes with vinegar like sauce and rubbery texture, stodgy rice, jar based curry, unbelievably/astonishingly bland vegan burger, terrible disgusting pizza like something from a roadside hut, greasy unseasoned vegetables. Clearly a shift work chef approach who doesn't love nor know food, with lowest cost possible and no care or training. Irritating, shoddy, waste of money. And this review based on two visits over a 3 week period. Definitely not going back. ‐-------------- 2021 Review Outstanding first class delicious food, far, far more than pub grub, great service and lovely atmosphere. Really clear there is an excellent team here who love and are proud of what they do. Best Sunday lunch in the area. Im a big headed home chef and I couldn't do better (by a long shot!) And this is a second visit, the last one a few months back and equally excellent. Good on you!!!

8 of us met together for Sunday dinner and unfortunately we were very disappointed with the standard of the food. The roast potatoes tasted like they had been around for a while and reheated. The cauliflower cheese we were given was just the scrapings that were left with no trace of any cauliflower at all. The bits on my plate should never have been served to me. It would have been better to be told there was no cauliflower cheese left. This meal was completely unacceptable and has left us feeling let down. Four of us made a specific booking for the Burns night menu we were there for our booked time 7.30 in the evening, and was told that they only had two haggis left, so two of us had to have something else, the two Haggis were very poor most of it was a pile of mashed potatoes, none of the courses came with what was on the menu, one sweet was advertised as coming with shortbread, and it had two cheap looking digestive biscuits with it, all in all a very disappointing evening, and to rub salt into the wounds all the chef had to say was don't bother coming back again if you didn't like it!!!!!

We went for dinner with friends and the service could not be faulted, very good. The food portion on the other hand can only be described as a rip off. We had the seafood linguine and for 20 pounds we expected more, smallest portion of food I have ever had at a restaurant. We even asked if they had given us the starter portion by mistake but alas it was the main. The manager agreed that the potion is small but it is the size that Fullers dictate, he took 2 of them off the bill which is appreciated but it did not take away the feeling that it was a rip off. Honestly if I was not with people I would have refused to pay for the meal and walked out without touching it.

It's ok, but there are a lot better close enough by. On the plus side, the building is lovely as is the setting, fair selection of beer and the atmosphere is normally pretty good. On the minus side - it's the food that consistently lets it down, tried a few times now but always poor quality, couple of times there have been errors too. Vegetarian selection is weak and even for non-veggies some simple basics are missing (eg fries - only fat chips that are very oily). With a good chef and food /wine menus that work together this could be a great venue.

I recently had a frustrating experience at this pub. I received an £85 parking fine for parking just 10 minutes, during which I bought a coke. I've tried calling the pub multiple times, but their phone number never answers, and there’s no way to email them a copy of the transaction. Most places like golf clubs and hotels have clear signage or an iPad to validate parking when you enter the premises, or someone asks you to do it. And if you do get a fine but can prove you were a paying customer, they waive it. But this pub is different. I wasn’t looking for a sign outside because, honestly, it’s a pub – you don’t expect a parking validation policy. I want to warn others: be careful when visiting this pub and parking. You might end up with a hefty fine for a quick visit. It’s clear they don’t prioritise customer service or transparency. Instead of making themselves available for contact, they seem to prefer hiding behind the supposed legitimacy of there being clear signage in the car park, while unfairly taking your hard-earned cash.
