Great traditional pub with garden

A great location, but sadly stuck in a time warp. Food uninspiring, mens toilet smells like you imagine. There is also a to ‘let’ sign outside. Used to be a busy old fashioned boozer, now still a boozer with little appeal. Beer not cheap as they are caught in a vicious circle. Sad really.

Great service and good Guinness

Haven't tried the food yet, but it's only a matter of time before we do.

Don't have any photos, only went in for a couple pints after a day out. But the staff were very friendly and there was plenty of space inside, smoking area is large and easy to access.

Lovely pub, warm welcome and loved blood orange thatchers on draught. Rooms were a bit cold but it was the coldest it had been in months.

It was an enjoyable Wednesday quiz night with local friends. No food currently on offer.

Shame you don’t really serve food anymore as was always good. Fab staff and atmosphere.

If you like a decent pint at a good price in a cozy welcoming pub this is a shining example...I recently organised my mother's 60th suprise birthday party here an I was shocked by the incredible staff that was so helpful in helping me an being brilliant hosts ...an giving my mum a birthday she will never forget. I would highly recommend here to anyone that needs a good room or a proper pint

Been going since 16 58 now gud ale comfy real pub June 11 2023 Went in for my favorite pint on immediate inspection doubted it right smell look gave impression off . Mentioned to bar staff without tasting it needed changing . But had to wait verdict from licencee Strange staff cannot recognise beer off .as pouring . Shame job serving, lacks quality nowadays .I did sip yep well off. And to be served 6X Wadsworth in a buttcum glass not pleasing to a confirmed beer drinker .especially as 100 yrs of 6 X. Good beer after changing barrel .

Really nice old pub on Bristol Road in Gloucester. Parking is limited but on street parking available. Plenty of seating inside and outside front and back. Do nice selection of Real Ales, 6 x, Butcombe. Have different ciders and Lagers available also. They do a Sunday Carvery and other menu options. Staff friendly and welcoming and helpful. Comfortable place. Would recommend and go again.. Another lovely evening in this pub 14/03/2023 lovely atmosphere with great Jukebox and busy.. Will continue to use

This is my mates local and its a great pub, always somewhere quiet to sit if you want to, wam and comforting with a great selection of beers and ciders pool table and dartboard and even a reading area. The epitome of a traditional British boozer and I just wish it was my local.

Nice place, bit dark inside, sport venue so you can have a drink and watch the footy. Friendly bar staff. Only downside they don't serve food Monday to Wednesday.

9 of us from Duke of Beaufort Court have just had amazing meals at the Linden Tree. They are so good at what they do. Fabulous atmosphere, superb service. Can't fault them. I would highly recommend them.

By far the nicest pub/restaurant out side of Gloucester quays, clean refreshing pints, immaculate interior with Living room style seating, would class this establishment as 1 of my top 5 in Gloucester.

Lovely little pub. Being new to the area last year I felt a bit anxious about going to a new pub, but the staff are all lovely and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The quiz on Wednesdays is a great laugh and raises money for a good cause. Big love to scrunchie.

Brilliant pub for real ales, will try a snack next time

Lovely quaint little pub situated off a busy road. Real log fire burning and their dog roams around freely too. The food is absolutely delicious and drinks are an average fair price too.

We have been using this pub for over 20 years. It has had it's ups and downs - but it is definitely now on an up! Great place, even in semi-lockdown 😁

Fantastic hosts and great food popped in for a couple of drinks with friends, it was such a cosy welcoming environment. We ended up staying all night. Will definitely be visiting this humble little corner again

It's so good to see the pub coming back to life. We live local and have missed going to the pub. Lovely to see it busy and great prices. Rugby games have been welcomed and a bloody good breakfast!! Back very soon.

Always loved this place. Been going on and off for over 30 years! Landlords have changed as have the clientele, but the beer is always to be relied on.

Bit quiet but glad it's still open. We haven't been for ages and it has new owners.

If you like a bunch of friendly locals who love to have a laugh and welcome you with open arms, this is the place for you.

Arranged to meet several friends here for drinks after being told it had changed hands. It was a Wednesday evening but pub was quite busy. Beer was good and a decent atmosphere.

Sadly we have watched this alehouse decline over the last 10 years from a busy watering hole to a quiet local pub. The Quays are modern and vibrant but at the expense of places like the Linden Tree. On the plus side you get good beer and good seating!

Held a skittles night at Linden tree for a family party. Great room for our 40 guests. Landlord and landlady really accommodating and couldn't have been more helpful. Would recommend for a fun night with friends and family.

Lovely old pub, a few real ales, nice fire in winter. Needs a good landlord to take over and give it the care it deserves. Be a shame to lose another nice old traditional pub.
