Ideal location for an event we attended. The room and site was beautiful, and rooms lovely and clean. Staff when we checked in were a bit grumpy but other than that it was a lovely stay.

Went for a conference, room was dirty and tired, refreshments were not kept topped up. The staff were friendly. If it had a tidy up would be a nice venue again. Just needs some love

Dishonest, abusive owner. He was extremely ride aggressive and homophobic to a member of our group. Promised to sort out valid complaints then refused to do so. Staff are mistreated and that turns into bad customer attitude.

We had our wedding here the 3/8/24 First of all, the venue is beautiful for an outside wedding and very reasonably priced. We booked our wedding 2 years in advanced, great communication throughout. Only things I would change- The rooms didn't have air-conditioning, the day of the wedding was so hot. The windows don't open fully, I was sweating before I even left the room. Felt very suffocating, didn't enjoy the experience at all. I wish I had someone to explain how the day would run, I didn't see anyone until 1pm when we were getting married at 3. Even then the day wasn't explained which left me anxious. The staff are amazing. Kerry ran our day, went smooth without a hitch, food was beautiful. Thank you!

Room was pleasant enough, but with no view, all I got was a view of a roof with raised glass skylights. Was glad I was only here due to work and not for a trip away. The staff I spoke to were friendly. It’s been a very hot week and when I asked for a fan was told they only had a couple on site and they have been given out so was a very warm and slightly uncomfortable night. So if you are coming in summer bring your own fan the rooms are very hot or at least mine was due to bring upstairs in the roof. Would stay again but please get fans in all the rooms. There’s mini fridges that must cost so much more.

We visited for a family wedding and would never return, room was small and dated, very hot few days that we was there and we was unable to turn off the heating and nor was the staff, very disappointing. Owner is extremely rude to staff and paying customers. One member of staff gave us outstanding customer service and that was Misha, such a lovely kind person that would help with anything she could and is a credit to the hotel.

I recently stayed at this hotel in Birmingham with my wife and another couple while attending a convention at the NEC. We chose this location for its economical pricing, and with a car, the 20-minute drive was manageable. Positive Aspects: - The staff were very kind and accommodating. Despite our late arrival due to travel delays and a burning car on the M40, the receptionist stayed in contact to ensure we could check in smoothly. - The cost was significantly lower than hotels closer to the NEC. Areas for Improvement: However, choosing an economical option should not compromise hygiene standards. The primary issue during our stay was the overall cleanliness. Upon entering our room, it was evident that the carpet had not been vacuumed properly, if at all. Crumbs, debris, and general rubbish were scattered around, as shown in the attached photos. To make matters worse, there was a used condom and wrapper thrown out of the window onto the roof, which was highly unpleasant to see. Additionally, being an early riser, I found it inconvenient that breakfast was not served until 08:30, and the main hotel area did not open until 08:10 when the receptionist arrived. This left me wandering the grounds for 30 minutes and then returning to my room with nothing to do for an hour. It would have been appreciated if the lobby were accessible earlier so I could read the morning papers whilst waiting for breakfast to begin at half 8. Breakfast itself was disappointing. The coffee tables in the lobby had crumbs and dirt from the previous night, indicating they had not been cleaned. This lack of cleanliness led me to opt for the continental breakfast rather than ordering from the kitchen. I didn't stay for breakfast on the second morning despite having paid. Upon returning from our first day at the event, we found our room exactly as we had left it. Despite leaving used towels by the door to assist the housekeeping staff, they had not visited our room. The bed was unmade, and the damp towels remained on the floor, forcing us to use them again the next morning. In summary, while the price and staff friendliness were positives, the lack of cleanliness and hygiene standards significantly detracted from our experience. I hope the hotel can address these issues, as it is in a lovely location with a charming building, ample parking, and proximity to the motorway and NEC. Unfortunately, these positives do not outweigh the negatives we encountered during our stay.

Visited for afternoon tea. Good value with lots of food and ability to cater for dietary requirements. Grounds are very pretty and restaurant area was nice. The service was a little slow but overall we had a nice time.

Bed uitgedreund.

A warm welcome, excellent food and with exceptional service. Ayman went out of his way to lay on an extra table for us as a late booking for our special occasion. Highly recommended.

Ten of of us stopped here for lunch today. We were unanimous in our approval of the welcome, the warm atmosphere but most of all by the wonderful cooking. The selection of dishes on the menu is eclectic and includes some pub favorites like whitebait and beer battered haddock but also some less usual items: harissa humus and braised leg of lamb for example, but the moules frites got my vote; the best I've had a quite a while. Worth the trip any day!

Went for lunch. Food was tasty and staff were friendly. Waiting staff were so friendly. Really sad to hear the place is closing, and the employees not being offered any alternative employment. Such a shame .
