There are no words to say against this pub, it's my local go to on a Tuesday afternoon for bingo and Sunday for karaoke the staff and all who go in there are warm and friendly it's like my second home xx

Tonight I watched a young tattooed male door staff eject 3 old people rather than deal with another young aggressive and abuse guy at the bar, The door man was made aware of this person but cowardly chose to turn his back and send old men out of the bar . I won't go drinking there again as I didn't feel safe. Others in the bar were aware ot the other aggressive guy and we could not believe the door staff turned a blind eye. Disgraceful or just a cowardly door supervisor 🤔

Has change since I went in there last hopefully the management will put the karaoke nights on it's a good laugh and a good atmosphere.

Nice pub, cheap drinks if you compare to rest of the town pubs. There's back yard smoking and sitting area. I would recommend this place.

Visited here Saturday night with a good mate. Sat outside at the back, a local arrived and sat down intimidating me, stole my drink and had a drink. He knocked it to the floor and over my trousers, I walked off. I spoke to security before leaving. My friend came out shortly afterwards and told me that this guy, known to the staff had started on him. Security was told that nothing happened by the witnesses around us, they didn't step in either. Totally unprovoked attack. They left it, with no action. We won't be going back to this place, if you want a quiet drink here forget it. Especially on Saturday night. If I could give this 0 stars I would, security and staff don't care, they should have chucked him out. DONT GO HERE EXPECTING A RELAXED ATMOSPHERE, YOU WONT GET IT.

Firstly I want to say I've been coming into this pub for years but recently went in and the atmosphere was horrible. Was in there 10 mins before I saw I fight break out which resulted in a bouncer beating the man whilst on the floor , then for no reason my daughter who had already been served and who is 25 got asked for I.D , when she said she didn't have it the bouncer grabbed her from behind with excessive force , bruising her arms and throwing her down the main steps , her dad was then grabbed from behind by a other bouncer and hit forcibly in the face by the same one who grabbed my daughter. This resulted in me calling the police . Please be aware that the staff and door staff are very aggressive. This was all on cctv which was shown to police .

My visit to Lewins will stay with me forever 26/11-22, late on I approached the DJ and asked for a song it was Karaoke. I was declined so returned to my seat, the next thing I knew I was being man handled out of the premises by security. I had to challenge the female security on the door step, as I had none of my belongings with me, so no way of getting home safely or letting my daughter know I was outside. The security lady finally, asked for my daughters name. As I had pointed out to her several times I needed my belongings. Once she asked my daughters name I was relieved and thought that was the end of the incident, what happened next left me with cracked ribs, not being able to drive and luckily working from home. The lady security lowered her arms to hip level, and pushed me down the stone steps. The Lewins have looked into the CCTV footage, and unfortunately this cannot be evidenced? There were 2 guys outside one who helped me up, but neither of the saw what happened? I have had feedback from Lewins and they feel the DJ felt intimidated so called security really? I’m 5ft 3 and had returned to my seat and was sat quietly. I have no reason to lie and have not involved the police, I am simply making people aware. I’m sorry the DJ felt intimidated? But I didn’t deserve cracked ribs, had the security lady given me my belongings I wouldn’t have had to challenge her, and would have left safely. Pushing a member of the public down stone steps can be lethal, I was lucky I have read story’s where people have died as a result. Please take care if you visit, as I really wouldn’t want anyone else to get hurt in this way. Thank you for your response Lewins it’s sad you didn’t believe my version of events, and the guys outside the door didn’t see any thing? One question I have for you is why would you think I would lie??? I don’t go out much but will be extremely vigilant of venue in future if at all thank you for reading this review.

Karaoke was a great laugh dispite dj been miserable. Mens toilets door kept getting proped open and stunk back of pub out. Did keep removing the stone holding door open but kept getting put back. Still had a good atmosphere and enjoyed

Well, what a wonderful day! Nostalgic building and feel to the place itself. Bus stop right outside.The staff are so welcoming, loads going on, karaoke, quizzes , D J. , I recommend.

We'd not been out in Halifax for years and on coming back home for a gig at the Piece Hall got dropped at the top of town and Lewins was our first port of call. I liked the decor in here, was comfortable and cosy, however the choice of beers wasn't great and at half 5 in the afternoon the music was so loud I couldn't hear the person next to me.

A great end of the night, to go full to bursting but a great night

The lewins is a great place to visit it adheres to all the covid restrictions in the right way and has a vast array of drinks available at reasonable prices and has all sports available too highly recommended give it a go.ps has the best host for miles in gerry.

This little beauty is one of my favorite pubs. Beer is always spot on, staff are always very welcoming, friendly and chatty and it's always exceptionally clean (the cleanest in town to be fair) They do lots of fundraisers, raffles etc. Overall this is one amazing little pub with a beer garden and the best folk. Well done to ALL staff, hats off to you all ❤️

Great town centre pub always busy on a weekend. karaoke sat and sunday night. Toilets always seem to be clean and there is usually a good chance of getting a few games of pool in. Not the best selection of handpull beer otherwise would of been a 5....

Great prices with carling £2, John Smiths £1.70, 3 bottles of Bud, Becks or Smirnoff ice £6. Daily deals leading up to Xmas. Always something going on fancy dress, events, fundraisers. Karaoke and disco on a weekend.

A lovely pub with very reasonable prices and friendly staff with a pool table and outside seating area; all major sports events are shown. Although it is in the centre of town it still has the feel of a local, definitely worth a visit

Went to the vape shop next door but stumbled across this place. Nice atmosphere. Pricing is good. Plus the vape shop next door is convenient. Both nicely situated on a busy road with parking opposite with free loading bay
