A fantastic Sunday lunch. We had starters & main and a carafe of wine. Everything was delicious. The chef is exceptional. The staff are all super friendly. Today Izzie was our server and she was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. Large area near the bar to have drinks if you want. The restaurant has a great vibe and was full of family groups, friend groups and couples. Fast becoming our fave Sunday lunch spot

Cozy family lunch here today, sat in the dog friendly area so we had to order at the bar which was fine as it wasn’t too busy. My turkey roast was delicious with good roasties and plenty of lovely fresh veggies. Everyone’s food was good and service was friendly. Toilets were freezing though 🤣 . We had a lovely time thank you

Our party of 12 cam along for lunch. First thing you think, is what a lovely warm atmosphere. We ordered our drinks from bar. A few of us had cocktails. I chose a pina colada type beverage, which was disappointing, packed with so much ice, 3 sips and it was gone, so probably don't bother with the cocktails, not good value for money, for over £10. I ordered the crab mac and cheese as a started, as did a few others in my party. Sadly, we all agreed, it was completely flavourless. Next up came the Romney marsh lamb. Which I'd really been looking forward too, as the time before it was out of this world good. Not so much this time, it was completely undercooked, very tough, my knife had a real struggle cutting though. However, the vegetables etc were delicious, wonderful flavours and textures. I did get donated some beef by a member of my party and that was tender and delicious. All in all, I enjoyed the atmosphere, the waiting staff were very friendly and I will give them another go.

We stumbled upon this pub on the way back from our walk- lovely find! great space and fab decor- Staff were very friendly and attentive, our server (Archie) really couldn’t have been more helpful! On top of that, the food was delicious

Great food, location and service. The food and the staff really make this place special. The fish and chips was superb, as usual and the Calzone pizza just has to be sampled if you are peckish, looks like a pasty. We were well advised and royally looked after by Naomi and Daisy.

We loved our night out here. Views were stunning and the food… gorgeous. The stone- baked pizza was amazing. The rum cream brûlée was delicious. Many thanks to Naomi and Alice who served us.

We returned to The Lazy Fox for Sunday lunch having previously visited during the week. It is a welcoming place with great service and really good food. It is quite large but there are a number of waiting staff and we were served promptly and politely. Our server Izzie was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. She had a lovely manner and was really efficient. My 3 year old daughter loved her pizza and the fact that she was given a child’s pack with crayons and an activity booklet. My roast beef was excellent - a far cry from the over-cooked fare that is so often the case in restaurants on Sundays. Overall we had a very good meal and really enjoyed our visit. A great place to eat and relax.

Kat & Alex were amazing to myself and my elderly mother. The pub was very busy but didn't rush us, gave great food choice advice and it was the best experience

We visited for my son’s 30th birthday and had a lovely meal. We all had different meals and they were all excellent. The service was very good especially Alice.

Visited as a party of 8, including my 2 and a half year old grandson, for a birthday meal. We booked the botanical shack which was beautiful and had amazing views out over the countryside. We ordered sharing platters to start which were perfect. Main courses were very generous portions and again beautifully cooked as were the desserts . Great menu & super friendly staff - we were looked after by Farrah & Molly.We will definitely come back!

Good evening out and a big thank you to Alice and Farrah for the convivial manner in which they looked after us. On a late Spring, sunny evening there is no better place to be.

Farrah was very good and was a breath of fresh air the service she provided was excellent. The food was average for the price although portions were large, but some essentials to british cuisine were missing - such as custard. A must for Sunday roast.

Oh what a shame! I had requested a quiet corner when I book for myself and my partner but clearly there is no such thing in this cavernous pub restaurant. It was a Saturday during the school Easter holidays but even so the place resembled a Harvester themed playground. Unattended children dashed around at full tilt and the noise level was not conducive to enjoying a meal. The parents of said children seemed oblivious and probably glad of the free time! Food and service was fine but sadly we left adamant that we would not be returning. Just not the place for couples!

We used to come here regularly and the food and service was always gr at. The service is still really good. However, the menu and the quality of food has declined. We came a few weeks ago in a big group and some food was great but other meals were not so great. We came today for lunch. The vegan roast was very bland, there was very little gravy and it all very much tasted like it had all just been reheated. However, Hannah and Izzie provided very good service.

We had a delicious Roast Beef lunch and it was excellent. The beef was cooked to perfection, generous veg portions and gorgeous crispy roast potatoes. Hannah , Alex and co were friendly and attentive giving excellent service. The puddings were delicious- apple and rhubarb crumble with rhubarb salted caramel ice cream and chocolate brownie with mint choc chip ice cream. Hubby was on a high as Hannah thought he was someone famous from the tv. Mustn’t let it go to his head!

Lots of roaming and very loud children combined with terrible acoustics in the room made this gave a school dinner/butlins vibe more than a countryside elite dining experience. I guess these fraught parents need somewhere for their off spring to let off steam and I should have known better than to come here on a school holiday. On the other hand the food was good and the service too. The staff are lovely.

Always good food and the service is very friendly. Special mention to Vio who is always great - really helpful, friendly and nothing is too much trouble every time we come, including last Friday. We come regularly with our dog and he always gets attention too

The best roast (beef) meal I’ve had - and I’ve tried most round here. Gravy was particularly delicious and the cauliflower was fab. Naomi who served us was great and a real credit to the Lazy Fox team.
