A seriously under rated pub! Great service and choice of beers. New management now offer a wide menu on Sundays and not just roasts. Food quality, quantity and speed of service great. My burger was flame grilled and the taste was exceptional! Would highly recommend.

Visited with our friendly cocker spaniel for family lunch during the dog walk. Absolutely delicious food & friendly staff. Nice & clean, very spacious & had everything we wanted for a nice place to eat & drink. Food was steamy hot, good portions & presented well on the plate.

We decided to try the food at the lawns after a long day. We were hopeful that with new landlord that the food would be great. Although the food was expensive we couldn’t see any deals on the menu and there was no QR code or app on the menu ( coming soon?) . We ordered the lasagna and the classic chicken burger. As it was after 8pm we knew the food would be hot and fresh. As there was not many people in. The food came lukewarm warm and small portions. It’s was stale and over cooked . The chips were triple cooked in dirty oil. My partner lasagna was reheated days old and dry as anything. We should have complained at the time but my partner didn’t want to the hassle. We decided never to get food at the lawns ever again. In the current climate you expect good food as there is a load of pubs in Yate that are cheaper and always packed. The tables were dirty and sticky, carpet thread bare in places. The toilets were filthy and brass plates were covered in grime.

I mainly drink at the lawns but on occasions have eaten as well, each time the quality of food drink and service has been excellent, I really can't fault this pub!

Sunday carvery, so good we came two weeks in a row! Staff are brilliant, very friendly and welcoming. Joe on the carvery station was particularly great

Visited last Sunday for the Carvery. Food was delicious and didn't have to wait long at all. New landlady Poppy served us and was really friendly!

We were seated a table by a young girl who couldn’t be more helpful! Then an older man came over I presume management although he should deff not of been in that role! He asked us to move then as we were moving told us to go back to our original table. When food was ordered I triple checked the order as there was a few of us all seemed correct. Starters came out and one was missing. I was told by the same rude man that it was not on the order and I would have to go to the bar and pay before it would be made. This man’s general attitude was appalling. There was a younger girl collecting plates and she seemed rushed and badly trained would come and take one plate at a time as people finished. I generally believe plates should be cleared when everyone has finished not at random intervals interrupting the customers meal. The food wasn’t too bad but the service and general attitude was appalling. Will certainly not be making a return visit!

No beer. No diet coke. No gents toilets. Very poor service. Dirty tables. Underage drinkers. Landlord more interested in watching the football. I could go on. Worst pub experience of my life

Best starter platter by far. Ordered for 6 of us and we all enjoyed. Included Chicken, breaded mushrooms, cheese and bacon potato skins, crispy prawns and cauliflower florets. Very filling and nice to share! Couldn’t recommend enough.

Very friendly staff nothing was a problem steak was a little underdone for my liking but they cooked a full meal no extra cost and the steak was how I like my steak to be cooked . Apart from that hiccup the rest of our order was outstanding, new owners are amazing and the chef

We arrived in a large group at the lawns without a reservation and they were able to fit us in. We really wanted to watch the football and Charlotte our waitress was so lovely and did everything she could to make that happen. We ended up in our own little private area with a tv and had a great night. Prices / waiting times and drinks were all really good and quick. Thankyou Charlotte !!!

Staff are amazing! So polite and friendly. Sarah and Kelsey especially - Always there to help when needed. My favourite local, never leave unhappy!

We had lunch today, very clean and friendly place, food was delicious, service was excellent, the ladies who served us were Sarah and Georgia , what lovely ladies who made us feel very welcome, they were very attentive. Will be returning and would recommend!

Tonight we decided to visit the lawns for a last minute tea, when we arrived the kids asked if they could sit on tables with the tv/app, it was absolutely filthy my husband asked someone to clean it which he did but didn't wipe down the seats which had food all over it! So we moved tables, there was 2 men working on duty one of who looked to be manager or supervisor had his mask round his chin the whole time even while delivering food to tables! The don't seem very covid bothered here at all !

Friendly pub in a lovely village on the edge of the Cotswolds. Sat outside in the sun. We ordered several starters/sharing plates between 4. Huge portions. Drinks topped up regularly. Nothing was too much trouble.

Visited for lunch with my family and was very impressed with the welcome that we received and the speed and quality of the food. I ordered chicken wings and then the standard Cowboy Burger which were both delicious. We were very impressed with the general feel of the place and will be back soon. Many thanks to the team.

Well, where do I start.On arrival we were shown to our table and told we could do the track and trace from our table, however, after several attempts the QR code did not work. Because it was not the correct one, the one at our table was the one for ordering food.We were given a menu and told to call someone when ready to order, when we were ready there were no staff about, so we sat there for at least 15 minutes before a waitress came, only after attracting her attention from taking some drinks somewhere.We ordered our meals and drinks, asked if we wanted pints or halves, we said halves.After a considerable wait our drinks arrived, slammed down on the table, the drinks were pints.Our meals then arrived, overcooked bacon on my hunters chicken, very little bbq sauce, side salad of just lettuce leaves. My husband's meal was slightly better.No one came to ask if our meals were alright., nothing special.Will we be going back to the Lawns anytime soon ....... I don't think so.It was not because they were busy either only two tables for meals inside.Less than welcoming and certainly not Value for money.

Up there with the worst presented and least appealing and tasting meal for donkeys years. Daughter ordered classic burger.Most bland brioche burger bun ever. Burgers crispy, verging on burnt on the edges grey in the centre. Plain as can be. Chips were fired using old oil.I ordered classic burger salad which was described as coming without the bun or chips and instead a side salad.First attempt was with chips no salad, second attempt was now with bun and the salad.No one to communicate this to hence the post. On a plus side, Front of house guy was pleasant and welcoming upon arrival

My family and I always come here for a smashing carvery. I can confirm its lovely food each time. Great staff and cozy atmosphere. Also great with kids. ( I have a ADHD&autism 2 year old) They have never got funny about his hyperactivity.

I have been to the Lawns many times but my last visits have been disappointing, to say the least. I reviewed my last disastrous visit in November (and contacted the manager but did not even have the courtesy of a reply). At that time I swore I would never return but, just before lockdown, agreed to go with a group of friends as it was a convenient place for us to meet. We arrived to be told that there were problems in the kitchen so no food; fine, got in cars and went to the Farmhouse instead. Decided last week to give Lawns another chance so went down and booked a family meal for last night, us, children and grandchild,to take advantage of the Chancellor's generous half price offer, obviously they had to take contact details in case anyone in there developed Covid. When we arrived we were met with, guess what? Problems in the kitchen so no food!! No one had bothered to phone even though this problem was day long and they had phone numbers, (we had been in all day and have an answer phone) Is the phone number only used to notify contacts of anyone who feels unwell? We decided to try the Farmhouse again, despite being fully booked they were extremely helpful and managed to sort us out a socially distanced table in the garden. Thank you to them. Lawns, I have given you two further chances since our bad experience in November, that's it now, Farewell, we will not be returning.

Went in to eat but found tables messy with covid shocking was a disgrace a manager was on her phone talking to her friend waited and waited no one came so walked out hearing on way out someone complaing about their food this use to be a nice p,ace never again p.ace is worst than mc Donald's on a sat night at 3am in the morning and still be safer at mc Donald's avoid

Where do i start? Came in for a carvery this afternoon with my other half and it was outrageously bad! The meat was dry the veg was tasteless and unfresh and the gravy tasted like piss water!When we walked in there was plates left on tables for a long period of time, when we found a “clean” table it was sticky and had food excess all over it from previous customers, I would understand if it was busy not if the staff are at the bar having a chat with the locals. If this is the right method for COVID cleaning then I might as well wash my hands in the toilet! We were overcharged for our food on the menu it cost £6.49 each when we paid £7 And then £3 for a normal coke! I am majorly disappointed and mad and shall never be returning to this pub EVER AGAIN!

Came in today lunch time service 28th was greeted by 2 lovely female staff who made us fell welcomed we ordered 2 cowboy burgers which were cooked to perfection and a chicken tikka again cooked to perfection so top marks to the chef in the kitchen today Will definitely recommend to everyone I know. Top marks to the team today

I went to the lawns on karaoke night and I was served by a very polite young man called Ethan. He was very funny and made me laugh, I was lucky enough to stay and watch him sing which was excellent. Definitely going to come again! Thanks for great service Ethan!

Sad to see the lawns going so far down hill, there is a core of customers who are load, course in their language and vulgar. They will never make this a family place while they entertain this regular crowd. Give it another six months and a builder will convert it to a block of flats

Came for a meal with friend are waitress was becca who was very polite and very helpful. She made are dessert and it was lovely and looked presentable.

This place is really turning around. Compared to where it was a few months ago. Spoke to the staff who said they are awaiting a new manager hopefully he keeps it going in the right direction

Was intending to eat but waited 20 minutes for drink and so many people complaining so changed mind. Not served in turn and when I said that was told I needed to stand in front of till to be served! Bar swimming with drink, tables likewise with addition of used glases and toilets filthy. Won't be returning.

As most of the other reviews discuss, what an abysmal of a Christmas dinner service!25 minutes average to get served a drink at the bar, we were meant to sit down at 2pm finally got shown to a table of 4 for 5 adults at 3pm we eventually got a bigger table - which was dirty, no cutlery, no table cloth & no crackers ( it is Christmas)I believe we finally got our starters at about 4/4:30 3 of which were soups and due to the lack of cutlery was difficult to eat - took a while to get the spoons after requesting them!!The queue for the carvery came all the way back to our table people would stood up waiting for at least half hour as they’d now ran out of plates!! We went to get our meals around 5pm in the end, two of us being vegetarian asked for our meals. 1 of the meals; the salmon wasn’t even offered as they didn’t have it and we ended up sharing a cauliflower cheese tart which wasn’t even on the pre order menu!!!!!Also having to pay extra for pigs in blankets & cauliflower cheese is appalling and extra 2.95pp if there’s a few of you can rack up a hefty bill & it’s a Christmas dinner not just a normal Sunday roast most people would expect these to be included!!!!!Coverall the food was fine nothing bad to say there, but the overall experience was beyond disastrous Marie our waitress was lovely and deserves some serious praise from management as she was an absolute angel! Would never come here again following this and would never ever recommend anyone else to go - an embarrassment.

It was strange to go in & find the place almost empty.Not a full menu on offer.We all chose the carvery which was good as usual.

Where to start we had Christmas dinner here last year it was fantastic decided to book for this year absolutely appalling waited 2 hrs for table which was filthy then we just sat no one came with cutlery or cracker or starters , couldn’t get near the bar for a drink carvery was dry cold disgusting didn’t get desert or coffee the manager just kept rushing about but not doing much that I could see the people behind the bar were chatting about the awful experience rather than serving two people behind the bar on Christmas Day joke , this was a disaster due to over booking and being greedy you couldn’t deliver no free drinks were offered to soften the wait really shouldn’t be in the hospitality industry will never go back ever .

Where do I begin apart from a total disaster and ruined Christmas Day dinner ... arrived early to have a drink before having dinner !!!! 20 minutes later finally get served probably the busiest day and only 2 members of staff working the bar this is where it started to go wrong ... after several times of asking we finally get a table which wasn’t laid and still dirty it was eventually dressed with an ill fitted paper table cloth and dirty cutlery (no spoons ) an hour and a half later after our lotted time we finally get out starters asked for spoons to be given one ..... quite difficult when the starters required to be eaten with a spoon ( have you ever tried to eat soup with a fork )!!!!! I then had to clean my table myself before the main, I asked for my vegetarian option which was ordered way in advance YES you guessed right this wasn’t available......my family of 5 at this point decided to give up and go hungry ....., NEVER EVER choose this pub for a special occasion . The only good thing was the lovely young waitress called Marie who despite everything kept her chin up and carried on regardless the total shambles . I think this review will also sum up every other family who experienced the same diabolical shambles we did ... Christmas Day thank you too the lawns ...RUINED!!!

What a terrible terrible experience. The female manager a hopeless disaster...couldn't manage a p*** up in a brewery. Food for everyone was 2 hours late, no desserts, no coffees, no starters. The female manager walked away from everyone trying to understand what happened. No explanations. Tables dirty not tidied up after last customer. We had to tidy ourselves. £40 meal and utterly the worst experience I have ever had. I have contacted head office also. Absolute disgrace...particularly the elderly and young children not eating waiting for 2 hours. Children crying it was just awful.

So we came here Christmas Eve and it was steady mostly drinkers. we booked a table and then told the food was an hour wait which was fine we got to the bar and we were told there was no food by the manger so we said we booked a table to have food so he eventually let us order the food we wanted but this is where it goes down. First of all the chefs were messing around at the bar which if food was an hour wait wouldn't it be busy in the kitchen. The Carvery was disgusting and very very dry. The steak was tough. The kids pizza looked like someone threw up on the plate and it Was ROCK solid you couldn't bite into it. Another thing to point out was the manger couldn't even take a drink order at the bar so we would ask for a bottle of wine 2 pint of Pepsi and he would turn round and give us X2 1/2 Pepsi the wine but with no glasses and then would just start serving a different person at the bar then we had to call him back over to tell him this was not the one time he did that. Most of have very bad stomach after eating here now we WON'T be returning.

Just had Christmas dinner in this place and it was total mayhem. The staff didn’t know what was going on, the food was really very bad. I wont eat in this place ever again. if McDonald’s was open Christmas Day I would have taken that on instead. I had to ask for a reworked bill after reminding the staff what didn’t arrive at the table. Walk in at your peril. Merry Christmas x

20 minutes to get a drink. We paid £40 each for a 4 course Christmas dinner on Christmas day and all we got was a carvery and a dirty table with the cheapest crackers you can buy. Severely understaffed. Full respect to the guy working behind the bar with a bad arm. The other one however was very rude.

Five of us paid £40 each for a 4 course meal.We only received one course.The carvery. We were sat down40 minutes late at 3 .10pm.At a table that hadn't been cleaned because there was only one waitress.No explanation given.Appalling service

Visited with a group of friends. Two of us ordered the mixed grill and when arrived had sausages missing. Was rectified but sausages must have been thrown in the hottest fryer ever to get out quickly and were hardly edible. The steak on mine which I ordered med rare was so tough I struggled to cut with the steak knive and you could imagine how hard it was too chew. One of the group ordered a chicken tikka masala and we laughed when it arrived and asked if they were on a diet it was so small. Now we were not expecting the earth but Wetherspoons would have been better, more substantial and cheaper.

OK, I have posted a review about a month ago saying that I really liked this place (and it was good). I have been here maybe 50 times and it has always been value for money but one bad time cancels all the good times out so we won't be going again. One Tuesday in October driving home from holiday, decide to stop at Lawns for lunch to save cooking at home. I'm not specially hungry but husband is always ready to eat steak and it was steak Tuesday so we ordered, me from the two courses for £5.95 (mushrooms and carvery) and him from the rump steak, go large, for £8 99. On ordering (at 12.20pm) I asked if my mushrooms could arrive at same time as his steak, I knew steak was huge and I could eat both courses in the time he was getting through enormous meal, was told that was fine. After about 10 mins mushrooms arrived, nice and hot, lovely but no steak for husband - asked for his meal but told that mushrooms were a starter and mains could not be served until starter finished.......... accepted and I ate mushrooms. We waited and waited and eventually, at approx 1pm, asked very polite waitress where his steak was. She went to kitchen, returned and said it was just coming; well, at about 1.20 it arrived, but was small rump steak, definitely not the 'go large' ordered! Asked waitress if this was the 'go large rump steak we had ordered, she said it wasn't and took it back to kitchen. We said that we seemed to have been here for ages so sort it quickly please. After another ten minutes, during which a lady on another table came over and asked us what the problem was as she and her companion had arrived after us, had eaten their two courses, had coffee and a chat and had seen us have nothing, the waitress came and explained that the order had gone through wrong and that due to this mistake on the till my husband had been served an 8oz steak instead of a 16oz, so would it be ok if the chef cooked another similar? Stupidly we said yes as we soon realised that this meant that the rest of the meal would just have been under the heater.

Visited for a christening (booked before sally and gav left) well to say it was disappointing may be an understatement. Before I go further I’d like to say the Kieron who worked on the bar in the function room is not applicable to the following comments. He served us with a smile all day.

Recently attended an after christening party where vegan and gluten free food was paid for at additional cost. Nothing that was supplied was gluten free or vegan

Well to start the owner who was there for a brief time when we got there just completely blanked us and just seamed in rush to get gone and didnt even unwrap the buffet food and when we did we realised there was no vegan or gluten free food available which we asked for and even paid more for but like i said she had already left so if left her staff to take to brunt of it with one of lads on the bottom bar didnt seam to care about.

Booked the upstairs room for a christening party. No coffee, no fosters and ran out of tea. Paid for a buffet including extra per head for 2x gluten-free and 2x vegan, they were not catered for. Franchisee was no where to be seen. Staff snooty including manager when this was questioned. Food that was provided was scarce and of poor quality. Eventually offered a meal off the standard menu Free of charge, food was not prioritised, when eventually arrived gluten free meal was not gluten-free. Staff need some training in customer service excluding Kieron and Elouise who were attentive and very friendly. Despite this shocking experience we stayed for the day as planning to attend the quiz in the evening. Ordered dinner, what a shambles!! Burnt or wrong. Waitress very apologetic (Elouise) and stated how embarrassed she was to be serving such poor food. DO NOT BOTHER VISITING. Under new poor management.

Convenient, affordable but disappointingly average. Bit shabby on the outside, similar on the inside. Plenty of room and decent buffet.

Went here yesterday with friends ordered food to come all out at once waited an hour still no food..... then soup came out cold carvery dry meat cold veg and potatoesno gravy..... still no the rest of our food got offered another choice off tge menu but as we had already waited over an hour and my friends daughter of 3 years was so upset that her food hadn't came out..... only got a I'm sorry abt tgat and got refund.... terribly disappointed with all of it.... AVOID....

Staff friendly and efficient. We had the lunchtime offer, two courses for £4.99 or three for £5.99. Added on large glasses of wine (25cl) for only £2 extra each. Food was more than adequate and excellent value for money.

Considering I have been to the lawns pub often and always having a mediocre and decent meal for the price I was not expecting this low of a level on this visit. Me and a few friends went to the lawns for a late lunch and We had ordered starters and mains, our starters were brought out but along with our mains? However, only the chips of my main meal were sent out? No biggie, we just sent our mains back and carried on with our starters. We then got served the same food that was already made for our starters which had been obviously sat in the kitchen for around 30 minutes leaving it to go stale and warm-ish. The lasagnes were floating in grease and were simply a pile of mush. However, I ordered the ‘ Deep South ‘ described as chicken in Cajun spices with salad sour cream and chips, my chips were the only part of my main sent out and my friends buttermilk chicken burger was simply a slab of chicken breast in a cheap dry burger bun so I went to see where my food was and just inform the barman that my friends burger was wrong. On getting back to the table I see a slab of what was meant to be Cajun chicken served to me in a small bowl and my chips in a separate bowl ( which were now stale and cold) and no salad or sour cream that the meal was even meant to come with? Now, having worked in a kitchen for 5 years I know the standard of what paying customers should get and this is most certainly disgusting. We were offered no compensation for this disgrace of a meal even though I informed the barman and kitchen of there errors? I later on began to feel Increasingly ill as hours went by and actually threw up around 3 hours after eating this meal. Really not impressed and quite sad to receive this considering I love the carvery!

We have visited The Lawns on several occasions, and have never been disappointed yet. Great food, and good value for money too. I don't mind the 35 minute drive from Chepstow to Yate, just to dine at The Lawns. Thank you so much.

Carvery not up to much, very hit and miss with qualty of food. Meat sometimes dry, veg cooked earlier and kept warm resulting in rubbery potatoes. Gravy usually watery and tasteless.

We enjoyed another great carvery at the lawns.very friendly staff.the place was very,very busy in fact they had to use upstairs for overflow customers.garden was packed.this shows how popular this place is.it was non stop at the carvery all lunch time.

Given up at intended pub for evening meal on Fathers day, came to Lawns and secured a table. Great with carvery, as no long wait, even though busy! Usual good food, great chef serving, thank you, lovely family meal, everyone happy

Went in a group for father’s day. Booking was easy and staff helpful with amendments. Everyone had Carvery but there were other choices on the menu should you not want this. Vegetables and meat were regularly replenished. Everybody enjoyed their meal. Going up and paying for each meal was useful being in a group as we didn’t need to split a big bill. Dad’s had a free pint if they ordered a large meal which seemed to go down well too.

We were going to go to brimshim Park but that was full and had many reserved tables. So we came here and managed to get a table here and it was busy too. Some of us had the roast and others had a burger, pie and chicken. Service was good and prices reasonable. See you again soon

The lawns kept us waiting an hour and a quarter for our food and I had to go to the kitchen to remind them. - we got the food then my lentil lasagne was as flat as a pancake and I had food poisoning. I have informed Unlic Health

A lovely place to meet, superb carvery, large portions of 3 different meats at very reasonable prices. I would certainly recommend this place, family friendly and plenty of parking, suitable for disabled as there is both upstairs and downstairs dining, with toilets on both floors, unhurried dining experience by friendly staff

Excellent! We had the carvery, and pleasantly surprised at the generous portions of meat. Three good sized slices. All in all, a pleasant experience, and we will definitely return soon. Well done!

Visited on a Sunday for a carvery. The food was really good and great value for money. We had reserved a table as there was a large group of us and it was very full when we were there. Only downside was the waitress who came over 3 times to ask if we were finished when we were clearly still eating...I think they were running low on plates!

Went to have a meal before an Adele tribute session and was impressed with everything. The 3 of us had a good value and quality dinner and Sally (manageress?) could not have been more helpful in sorting us a good seating area for 'Adele' and giving me a list of taxis at the end of the night. It was packed in the pub but all staff were helpful, courteous and cheerful especially Sally. Thanks for a great night

We like coming here as local to my parents and good choice of menu. Today my wife and mother had the carvery. I had a lovely curry and dad had a nice all day breakfast. Service was good and puddings were only two pounds on a Monday. Good times!

Great food today great service came here at Xmas and was also very good ! Great value ! Great for kids as well as they have a section with TVs .....

I had the lunch club with fish and chips with a hot chocolate cake. The fish was cooked to perfection and the fries were crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. The garden peas were very fresh and were tasty. The chocolate cake had a very luxurious sauce and the cake was incredibly soft. Highly recommend the lunch club for the tasty did he's and the excellent value.

Unfortunately we did not enjoy out meal, the fish was 90% very greasy batter, which was inedible. I pointed this out to the waitress when she collected the plates but she was not interested.

We arrived at the lawns approx 11 45 am for fresh carvary,the Yorkshire puddings were already out on a dish,other veg was I believe in dishes being kept warm,we went up for food as soon as the meat came out approx 12.10. Got to the counter it looked as though the meat was from last night e.g. There was a whole joint of beef and a small piece already been used,the veg looked like yesterday's warmed up,the parsnips you couldn't eat as they were thin and well done,the sprouts looked dirty,the swede was partly mashed and a lot whole bits, went to eat it and everything apart from the roasters were fairly warmish,the yorkshires were cold ,the sprouts v hard,. The last time I had a meal here was ages ago and it was v poor then ,

the carvery is as good as usual.the staff are very friendly & helpful.great atmosphere.you cannot fault this place at all.

Tried going here time and again as its local. Each time veg has been very undercooked or dry.

This is a surprisingly nice place to go for a lunch break. We chose from the menu but there is a carvery as an alternative.

Wife had a carvery today which, as usual, was very good. I decided to have a change and went for the beer battered fish. Unfortunately, there was more batter than fish on my plate and really warranted a complaint to management as it looked and tasted like it's been around for a while but I was up against time and couldn't hang around to argue the toss. Shame really as up until now I really liked this place. Suggestion: stick to the carvery.

Staff are all very friendly and the quality of food is also very good, very clean tables and Chairs, would highly recommend for family visits or special occasions

Once again another lovely meal at the lawns enjoyed by all.The staff were polite & attentive & cleared the table ready for the next course quickly.

Been to The Lawns for lunch a couple of times recently and have to say we love it! Today fed a family of 5 with drinks for only £33. The burgers were big old boys and we were all stuffed. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We will definitely be going back for more.

Nice friendly pub, great carvery good food at reasonable prices. Good range of drinks. Plenty of room and nice gardens. Good for families.

Its ok, get what you pay for i guess. Weird smell when you enter, floor & table sticky, potatoes not great, stuffing not cooked properly, all quite tasteless. Shame as such a lovely pub but gone down hill since last owners. The garden was much nicer & the food was as well.

Venue is great for a cheap quick carvery. Its clean and had seating outdoors when the weather is great. Nice family quick meal.

I've never been a fan of the Lawns but keep driving past and seen the outside space has improved significant recently. I thought I would pop in for a drink. Standard food pub, but the atmosphere was nice and same for the staff.

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the quiz tonight. However the smoking by the door is a problem as most of the smoke blows back into the pub. They also have a wine offer on (2 bottles for £15) but unfortunately they have none of the wine in stock.

Enjoyed our meal with the family ,shame no prawn cocktail available for starter as I was looking forward to this.Great steak.

Typical pub fare...had the special of the day...curry and a pint. Opted for chips instead of rice but was not told the curry was a potato based curry. Also asked for a non dairy option but they still gave me a naan which contained dairy...pretty scruffy interior and a self service for utensils but the beer was fine and for the money ..under £7 could not complain too much. Fine for a quick meal and drink especially the dish of the day.

Tried the cowboy burger. Excellent burger and bun and tasted great. Chips were good but a bit skimpy in numbers. Sitting outside on a summer evening the Lawns has a pleasant area to eat.

We come her regularly but we had never had lunch at the lawns before. They provide a lovely cheap lunch menu and we sat outside in the sun drinking ciders and enjoyed every minute. We would recommend the Mexican starter and the mini fish and chips. Lovely. See you again. Thank you to the manager for the extra gravy and the waitress for serving us with a smile ☺. Had Sunday carvery here with family it was ok not great veg all dry potatoes hard but on a plus note meat was lovely as was the gravy and Yorkshire pudding we had a drink in the garden after which was in a right mess glasses left chairs tipped up such a shame as it is a lovely pub just needs a bit of a uplift all in all it was a average meal would I go back not sure on that one

Would recommend this place for their Sunday roast, went with my mother and i would definitely recommend this pub!

Attended a colleagues wedding reception here and have nothing but praise for this event. It was well organised, the setting was very cosy, the food was excellent and was pleased that the bar was well ‘staffed’ to cope admirably with the number of guests. It also has a huge outdoor seating area to take advantage of in nice weather.

another good meal enjoyed by the family.It was a very good time had by all.The service was very good & friendly.
