We visited this place once, and that was enough. After trying one dish, which had clearly been sitting around for ages, we walked out. That says it all.

Ok, I've eaten from street stalls in Vietnam, all over China Town london etc...but I've never eaten a wonton that was made of bread crumbs and fish sauce,,,,,yuck.I had wonton noodle soup for lunch, everything looked lovely, pak choi steaming above a bowl of vermicelli rice noodles, spring onions floating in the broth, but my first bite of the 'homemade' wontons surprised me, the filling was not meat but some ground (likely break/meal of some sort to save money) up mush that had a funny fish taste to it.Ok, it was cheap, but still, how inexpensive can you get to serve meatless wontons. Finally, I'm a stickler for cleanliess in a restaurant, this place was not clean, my guest and I moved the table to bring it closer to the banquet and there was food droppings (looked like rice) on the floor under the huge table base, since this was an early lunch can only surmise that this was there from the evening before (or goodness even before that). There are great Chinese Asian restaurants in London-Bayswater and China town, try someplace different than the Lanting......my suggestion

I ordered a king prawn fried rice, it was bland and tasteless, tasted like it never been on the wok. 4 king prawn on a container of rice, nothing more. Save your money Go somewhere else, this is the standard of the Chinese prison service.

Worst service in South Ken with several staffs, and problematic hygiene. If you do not wish to be pressed by staff here to decide on what you wanna order multiple times when you have just sit down for a couple of minutes, or stared by waiters when they serve for literally no reason, or having a stomachache after dinner, don't come. You'll thank me for this. It was 19:40 and there's very few customers coming by, so I politely asked the staff whether I and my friend could use the large table instead where it would be easier to make conversations. I would have totally understand if they refused. But in addition to refusion the staff loudly throw sarcasm at us: “that's so weird! Are you coming here for food or dating?”. The other waiter then constantly stare at us as she serves the dishes. My friend had a stomachache later that day, I wonder why. The sand wall restaurant is so cute. On closing day, the old wall lamp remembered to call me to set off fireworks for you. At first, I thought it was a racist who looked down on mainlanders. After looking at the Google reviews, I found out that Lao Deng was a virtuous AOE. Is the restaurant named Jia because there is no home or no 🐎?

I phoned to make my order, very aggressive and rude man answered and took the order. They don't even clean the prawns that black stuff is still on it, the shop and kitchen looks dirty, it's definitely overpriced, I had a horrible experience and below par food. Save your money as plenty other options to eat in Earl's Court.
