The Langham Hotel is simply amazing, the team are second to none for service and the rooms are the finest in London. When I arrive at this hotel, I immediately know I’m at my second home with truly loyal and dedicated friends. My most recent stay organised by the amazing Fadi Samhoun was as special as always. This senior leader at the hotel is a great ambassador for the brand and actually still ensures that everything is first class when I stay despite being so senior in the hotel hierarchy… why?? Because loyalty matters to him and the team. He never forgets to message me and check-in with us before, during and after our stay. I don’t know about you but that means a lot to me and I remain impressed after every stay with just how amazing this hotel continues to be despite the bling culture of surrounding new brands. The Langham remains the original and best 5 star experience in London.

I went to The Langham for a 1-night stay as I was just passing by London, but I’ll definitely go back for longer! The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are cozy and super-comfortable. And it’s well located, a few minutes away from Selfridges and Regents Street.

I stayed last week and brought my kids to the Hamleys Santa’s Grotto: they loved it! The hotel is grand and it’s easy to explore the central area of London as it’s right at the top of Regent Street. The staff was very welcoming and took extra care with my children. We also had Afternoon Tea: wonderful setting, tasty scones and delicious sandwiches. Can’t wait to be back in London, now I know where I will stay again.

Every concierge is scamming you. They tell you a black cab is £150 to the airport but it’s only £70. They then tell you they have a cab driver friend that can do it for £120. Both of them pocket extra. Go and get a cab from the rank. Don’t get stung by these bent doorman.

We had yet another fantastic 4 night stay. This hotel, facilities and location are fab, however it’s the staff in the exec lounge that make our stay special. (Late review) Festive afternoon tea Lovely afternoon team experience during the holidays. I love an afternoon tea and this was my first time trying at the langham. The team were friendly and professional. Afternoon tea was nice, and the room had a lovely atmosphere with pianist. Although you have a set time on the table, you didn’t feel rushed at all, staff were attentive and accommodating. Location is good, steps away from central London / Oxford Circus Would recommend and try again!

We have stayed at many during the last weeks of Nov to mid-December because we enjoy London's xmas decorating and always come back to Langham. Service is great, lobby not tourist filled like the lovely Claridges, quite and easy access to all. I encourage you to consider this hotel, and though there are nice hotels near Hyde Park, just don't with the Hyde Park area. I was stressed with the crowds, traffic, and protests, and via the tube, you can always visit that area. Up the street from Hyde is Harrods, so you will probably come across the park ascyou meander. Langham is just spot on for us, now that we think we know London. MARLEBONE side streets and shops are great, and the perfect size museum , The Wallace, is steps away, as is the lovely Regent Park and Portland Street, a great street for small shops, resturants, and a back ended way to the British Museum and to avoid Regent Street crowds to get to Carnarby, Soho, Theatre's etc during the holiday season

Still waiting for the restaurant manager to contact me. Shockingly unappreciative and poor customer service for a supposed 5 star hotel. Stayed at The Langham last weekend. Left very underwhelmed with an upset tummy and diarrhoea from undercooked/raw scones from their afternoon tea. On checkout I referenced this and was told the restaurant manager would call me asap. I haven't received any communication from The Langham or management since. The afternoon tea cost £250 and my room was £620 per night. Not a 5 star hotel, there are better hotels in London who appreciate their guests. Thank you

Absolutely fantastic hotel, wife and I stayed at this hotel for almost a week while celebrating our honeymoon in Europe. The staff made sure to make our experience special with champagne, complimentary room upgrade, fruit trays and a concierge staff that went above and beyond every chance they had. The location was fantastic, short walking distance to the major attractions and nearest underground station is just down the street. The door men always have cabs waiting out front for those longer trips.

I contacted The Langham to book my son into The Cooking School. I emailed in to book, no response. The price jumped from £115 to £125, so I asked in an email, again no response. Anyway a few emails later to Lauren and still no response so I escalated to her manager. Despite the complaint being about Lauren her manager referred it back to Lauren and she finally responded, though disregarded much of what was in the email. She then offered my son a place in January. It got to the point the customer service was so poor that I decided against booking him in. Ive heard every excuse, holiday, sickness, not receiving emails, leave etc and when I finally did get a response it didnt answer anything from my email. The Langham should be providing the best service. I also mentioned booking in to stay when booking the cooking class but again no interest. I did mention I would be be posting a review and contacting the hotel manager but both Lauren and her manager didnt seem to care. My first experience with The Langham was a couple of years ago in Palm Court when I took my son for afternoon tea and the waiter got angry with another member of staff and started shouting and swearing in front of my son and slamming things. The manager did come over and apologise and didnt review at the time as thought it was a one off, but what with this recent experience perhaps it is an issue with customer service.

Stayed here for a week. Unfortunately one of the two lifts was out of service for half of my stay. Due to how slow and small the remaining lift was, many guests including myself had to resort to climbing up and down the stairs instead. As I was leaving for the airport, one staff member tried to convince me to take a more expensive London black cab instead of an Uber even though I already declined a few times, I thought this was pretty strange experience for a hotel like this.

The Langham is in a great location, walkable to everything on Regent Street and Oxford street as well as the surrounding areas. You’re only about a 20 minute walk from other areas in London, like Covent Garden or all the sights. We had afternoon tea at The Palm Court and everything was great! The food, the tea, the service, all fantastic. We also ate at the Wigmore and had a great experience there as well. Had drinks at Artesian one night and that was a great experience as well. The one food related miss was breakfast at The Landau. This is a new offering for The Langham and between the extremely slow service and dirty dishes that were brought out for breakfast it shows. Hopefully this is just growing pains and will get better as The Landau gets more established. The rooms are great for city rooms, with nice finishing and great bathrooms. The beds are super comfortable with great sheets, making for a great night sleep. The showers are great with plenty of space and great water pressure. We loved the robes for use within the room and throughout the hotel. We really enjoyed that The Langham had a pool, which is sometimes difficult to find in a city hotel. The pool is great and was never busy when we were there! Although we had great service elsewhere in the hotel, we had an issue with communication and service from the concierge that resulted in us wasting the better part of a day. I would say keep an eye on anything the concierge has booked and don’t count on them to keep you updated to any changes, they didn’t for us. Additionally, when the mistake was realized, the concierge missed the mark again in level of service and professionalism you would expect from a 5 star hotel. It wasn’t until we got our travel agent involved that our issue with the concierge was actually resolved.

As one would expect, the Langham London offers a luxury experience in a historic hotel located in Central London. Having just landed from a red-eye flight from New York, we were eager to get into our room. We were able to check in immediately and our room was ready for us. The room itself was clean and equipped as you would expect at a 5-star hotel. The room was very quiet and had an excellent turn down service. They even added a card with running suggestions on my wife's running shoes! The location of the hotel is also great. While it is still in Central London, you are somewhat removed from the chaos of Soho, and are a quick walk up to Regents Park. There is Easy walkable access to lots of the west end without it being too busy in the vicinity. Breakfast was included in the room rate, and had a full a la carte offering of high quality. It was not limited to a continental buffet or something similar. My one complaint is that they add a "discretionary service charge" of 5% of the total room rate to the bill at check-out. It is discretionary that you have to ask for it to be removed, as it is automatically applied. I am told that this goes directly to the staff, so I didn't cause a fuss about it. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, however 5% on the room rate each night is rather excessive. I would keep this in mind if you prefer to tip staff in cash, as service is rendered.

Like yourself, I read reviews before I book hotels. Especially expensive ones in another country. I have traveled all over the world and stayed at some really awesome places. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED BETTER BY ANY HOTEL IN MY LIFE. From the time my taxi pulled in to when I left. Its a beautiful old hotel in a GREAT location, right at the end of the shopping district. Regent Street is kind of like Time Square in NY but this place is on the end and was quiet. Its only a 20 minute walk to Trafalgar Square where theres an awesome free museum. Not far from SOHO close by plenty of bars and restaurant. A couple tips. The bar downstairs is amazing (Kevin makes a lights out old fashioned) but really pricey. Its an expensive hotel but I noticed a 5$ " food and beverage" extra charge and I just had 2 drinks. There was a 12.5 percent service charge which i guess is for tips which is fine. When I asked, it was explained that its a common charge at bars and restaurants in London. I found that to be not true. Anyway, small thing, I passed on the bar after that. Another tip, the main dining room is beautiful but kind of stuffy. I found out you could also eat breakfast in the side bar of the hotel which is one of the most beautiful rooms Ive ever seen. Aaron took great care of me down there. All that said, I wouldnt consider staying at another hotel in London the next time I go. The Langham is 5 stars for a reason. Lastly, take the hop on hop off bus with the river cruise combo. Its a no brainer for 24 hours (48$ per person) and goes all around the city.

I did a ton of research before choosing our hotel this time —via the American Express Platinum program. I purposely booked a higher level room knowing that if the upgrade was available—it would be to a club room. When we checked in, reception person said—we’ve upgraded you! Well. She took us to the same room I’d booked. It was just ok. I called down immediately and made my case. They knew it too. After 24 hours plus—they moved us (we packed up) to the nice room. Three nights total but so much wasted time and energy leaves mostly a bad taste. Won’t come again. Pool and restaurant fantastic. Sad that their deceit was the feeling I’m left with. Life is short and we work hard to travel. Disappointed in my fellow human beings. Sigh.

I have been a regular user of the Langham London for the last 2 years. I always find their levels of service to be exceptional. All of the team are exceptionally helpful but my absolute favourites are the door staff team who are amazing. When I read about the new Langham loyalty scheme ‘Brilliant’ I was an early adopter. Sadly I must report that the new scheme has been a total failure! An embarrassing farce! My most recent stay was in the last week of March 2024. When I reached the check in desk it was emblazoned with signs promoting the new Brilliant scheme. I presented my virtual Brilliant card at check-in and was met by confusion. They had no idea where to record my Brilliant membership number! They settled for writing it down on a piece of paper. At check out I noted that my bill failed to show the food and beverage discount promised to brilliant members. On pointing this out I had to give my Brilliant membership number again but the lady behind the desk still struggled. She manually calculated my discount and manually altered my bill. We then spent some time disagreeing on whether the discount should be applied to my dining at The Wigmore. Eventually I had to direct the Check-out lady to the small print on the Brilliant website to persuade her to agree that my Wigmore dining should have the discount applied. The bill was re calculated. Then I had to point out and correct the arithmetic errors before finally arriving at a bill I agreed with. It is now 6 weeks since my last stay and I am still waiting for my loyalty and status points despite chasing 4 times! The purpose of a hotel loyalty scheme is to build and retain loyal customers. Well done Langham! Your new loyalty scheme has succeeded in reducing loyalty by annoying a previously loyal customer! I note the Langham reads and replies to reviews on this site. I look forward to reading their response and will update this review regularly if they make any progress with sorting out the mess they have caused!

We came for afternoon tea to celebrate my partner birthday. We love coming here to celebrate because of the quality food and service in here. But sadly today we weren't happy with the pastry this time. It was nothing special compare to other place we had before. Also they send us a sad looking dessert with happy birthday without the birthday song playing by the pianist. Spending so much money here for a birthday but at the end it just kind of spoil the whole celebration. Given the reputation of Langham for their afternoon tea. This is a huge dissapointment. Might else well take our money else where. The positive thing about this experience is our server Magda. She looks after us well, make sure the tea pot is fill. And ask if we like to try other tea.. she make sure we are comfortable. And we grateful for her service.

We had a great time at the Langham. Our room was very comfortable, though, like a lot of London hotels, the bathtub/shower is on a raised platform was on a raised platform which makes it awkward to get into and out of. Visited the Palm Court, Good Front Room restaurant, to celebrate my sister's 60th birthday. Staff was very friendly and attentive, which added to our experience. The meal was a set menu included a starter, mains with a selection of sides, rice n peas, plantains, green banana gratin and a fennel slaw and a dessert was we underwhelmed, overwhelmed or just whelmed, well we would say underwhelmed. Starters were great, mains I had the curried goat and sister had the baby chicken with mains. We were not impressed how the mains were served and there was an odd or bitter taste to the meal. Order a couple of mock cocktails not impressed with the presentation, very bland and plain where the decorations come on more imagination is needed on presentation. The ambience of the restaurant was good and the staff were lovely and professional. Did notify of sister's birthday was presented with a small cake I think a cheese cake with a small candle. Verdict is would I go again the answer is 'no' would I recommend 'yes' but as a one off experience.

We dined here a couple of weeks ago. We didn’t know the restaurant was due to close on the 15th February. So why am I reviewing something that won’t exist? Because it deserves every accolade it can get before its finale. What a huge loss to the London fine dining circuit it will be when the last petit four is served later this evening. First a huge shout out to the front of house. Simply impeccable levels of hospitality. Giuseppe the sommelier. Understated yet undeniably passionate about his craft. And what a wine pairing it was!! Natasha our main server. So relaxed. So humble. So friendly. Just a lovely dinner companion to have. On to the food. Simply genius. Often the difference between the 1 star and a 2 star can be a hairs breadth. Not here. The quality, flavours, technique, creativity are a million miles away from any 1 star I’ve had the pleasure of eating at. Standouts were two sauces believe it or not. The geranium herbal wasabi infused sauce to the lobster was sublime. A warning pleasant heat from the wasabi was the undertone to a wonderfully deep and umami filled backdrop to what was probably the best lobster I’ve ever tasted!! Next a saffron infused sauce accompanying a very skilfully crafted piece of turbot. The depth of flavour chef extracted was just so impressive. And the humble artichoke was taken to a cosmic level. Sweet notes to a savoury dish. I could wax lyrical but I’ll stop there. You won’t be able to visit the restaurant any longer after today the 15th February. If only we’d discovered it before….
