i absolutely loved there, the atmosphere is amazing, music, coffee, all on point

Really loved the garden at lane! The atmosphere is so heavenly, and it’s decorated beautifully. There are plugs for laptops if you want a snack and some coffee while you work and it’s also a great place for a catch up with friends! The veg platter was ok but I was mainly there for the atmosphere!

Really wonderful place with really kind staff

The place itself looks very nice however I won't recommend this place at all, staff is very rude especially the asian waitress with a black hair , I came to have drink while I'm waitig for my friends , no one approached me at the entrance so I thought its ok if I just take a seat and check the menu , this lady came after me with a very harsh attitude , showing inapropirate hand gasture to leave . From my friends I know I'm not the first person who had this kind of issue with her , I recomend not to waist your time or money in here, has way more better places around the area

I would give 0 stars if I could, I went with my daughter and the service was awful and in the end I gave up trying to order a drink for us. We were killing time before our show which was next door in the theatre. Kept getting told different things and staff were rude, especially the Asian lady, who kept ignoring us as well as giving really curt blunt replies. Avoid at all costs. Date we TRIED to visit was 27/05/2023

What a beautiful place to get something to eat before a show polite staff with great service and great food

Beautiful place for pre theatre drinks and nibbles. We had a bottle of champagne and sharing platter, both were excellent. The service was also good. I’m a gardener who loves food so a quaint little place filled with real plants is heaven for me! You might see on Instagram. I’m always worried these places are pretty, but aren’t actually that good. This is pretty, but it’s also really good 👌🏼 Tip BOOK! It gets really busy so book in advance.

We came here because it was my friend's little girls birthday and she was really looking forward to watching Frozen. Handy as the theatre adjourned. There is lift access which staff will accompany you. At first glance this place is pretty and so ornate, high domed ceilings, incredible decor, table layout and crockery. A grand piano and paintings in the bar area. Prior to booking the afternoon tea which caters for children and costs £35 pp. We knew that my friends's daughter would much prefer ham sandwiches so we requested it weeks ago on the email booking. Unfortunately there was no acknowledgement of this. Even upon arrival on the day, there was also no mention of this so we had to raise it but they was no explanation. This was a disappointing factor. Still, I did not let it deter me, I loved the ambience and service here. Just a shame there were no sandwiches served with this afternoon tea. This was a real first for me knowing it wasn't a themed afternoon tea. Staff tried to be accommodating and bought a plain bun and butter for the birthday girl. The sausage roll was the best thing for me and the English breakfast and afternoon tea was served hot, so delightful. If it had a tea warmer then it would be perfect. To start with we had the Lilli Vanilli sausage roll, herb canle with goats cheese and picked beetroot, madeline topped with salmon fennel and caviar. You can't really go wrong with a sausage roll but it was small. The salmon was ok, bit strange being served in top of the madeline which was slightly over baked. The goats cheese, again was an unusual combination, but I knew I has to eat this as there would be ni sandwiches or refills. Next came the warm fruit, scones served with clotted cream and jam. Then the sweet pastries, Although I wasn't the biggest fan. There was a pink lemonade tart with jelly on top, sticky toffee pudding and a dark rich chocolate cake, they looked so pretty, too nice to eat. Once I tasted them, I wish I just left them to look at, some things should be just left to admire. I loved the tea, a pot was enough for two tea cups so you can try as many different teas as you like. I started with the afternoon tea, then I tried the breakfast tea and finished with the peppermint tea to help digest the food. My friend had the earl grey and finished with a cappuccino which she thought was absolutely lovely. Overall the staffs service was far better than their supervisor. An idea of mine would be to have a Frozen themed afternoon tea, it would be far more popular with the younger guests. We paid £59.00 pp. For the food, I personally thought it was not worth it, tea was good quality and the ambience and service from a couple of the staff members there was very good. There isn't usually a time limit but someone had reserved our table. I was allowed to sit outside the main restaurant area and wait, whilst listening to the relaxing music. Disabled toilets and lift accessible. I'm pleased I experienced it but not sure I'd return to an afternoon tea which does not serve sandwiches. Didn't feel right and my belly wasn't tight.

stumbled on this gem on a saturday evening and stopped by for a hot drink with friends. lovely interior, greenery with fairy lights around. nice tea and service was good too. would come back

Nice atmosphere 👌 We came for brunch and odered some teas, waffles, prawn salad, banana bread, and a vegetarian sharing board. The board was very nice and was the item we most enjoyed. The salad was pretty basic, and the waffle was very weid as for the banana bread lt was ok. They did not have any pastries even if they were on the menu and not particularly late; they just happen to not have them regularly. The atmosphere is nice and the distance between the tables allows good conversions. Overall, it was a good experience. Recommended

Great atmosphere and interior design - a hidden gem in the hustle and bustle of Covent Garden. We went for tea & coffee and they were standard. Service wasn't bad but could be improved, hence 4 stars.

Lovely place! I’d say it’s the best place for you to go with family and/or friends. Drinks are really really nice, both for breakfast or afterwork drinks. However, I was a bit disappointed with the food we ordered. We only got a small cheese board and the pieces of cheese were ridiculously small. Same with the bread that it came with. The cake was supposed to have salted caramel in it but we didn’t taste a thing either. We took a look at other tables which ordered toasts and those did look amazing.

One of London's best kept secrets. Excellent staff, peaceful environment, lovely coffee. Great for confidential work meetings.

Really looking forward to popping in this place after reading it in a list and being in London for Xmas. Not that good I’m afraid and I’d recommend saving your money. 1) not that ‘gardeny’ 2) Cocktails massively overpriced for a disappointing drink that I could’ve made better at home. No razz for such pricey drinks. 3) didn’t thunk the female staff were that friendly.
