Wagamama - Leicester Square in City of London, Westminster

Reserved a table at Steak and Co. for 4:30pm to enjoy their lunch menu, which runs until 5pm. Arrived to find out half the lunch options were ‘unavailable’—only fish and chips, a salad, and tuna steak were left. Funny thing is, I could see other tables ordering the steak on stove (at full price), which apparently ‘ran out’ for the lunch menu. No heads-up despite having my email from the booking, and they only told me as I walked in. Left immediately and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Disappointing and poorly managed.

Good quality steaks but WAY overpriced because of its location. It's decent quality, nothing bad, but it's not "incredible", and yet it's priced as a seven star Michelin restaurant.

We went here for a birthday and had a lovely time. We both went for the 12oz sirloin steaks with fries and peppercorn sauce. The service throughout our time was lovely and we enjoyed our food. Great location too.

Went for the 2 course Prix-Fixe set menu, happy hour on drinks too which was a bonus. Portions generous and my steak was very tender and juicy. As good as any of the other major steak joints in the vicinity. Server Amy Louise was very attentive too

Steak and Company is a really great place. With really nice staff and very very good food and service.The experience is amazing such as the steak on the stone experience, it was my first time cooking steak on a stone and I loved it I had a smile on my face while doing it. And Joao is a really nice waiter making sure he gets everyone what they need and he does everything quick which everyone likes. Great atmosphere and I saw the advertisements and it looked like the food in the advertisment. I'm more than happy to say that this experience has completely met me and my family expectations. It was worth every penny.

I recently celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday at Steak and Company - Leicester Square, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. I had put in a special request for a nice, intimate table away from the center, as well as a celebration cake for my boyfriend, and they went above and beyond in fulfilling all of my requests. I also mentioned that I’m pregnant, and the staff was extremely considerate about my dietary restrictions. I felt completely safe and taken care of with both the food and drinks offered to me. The young gentleman who served us was exceptionally friendly, kind, and attentive, making the experience even more special. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the entire team helped create a wonderful and memorable evening for us. It was truly a celebration to remember, and I look forward to returning one day in the future, hopefully with our little one :)) Thank you to all the staff at Steak and Company for making this dinner so perfect!

We had an emergency and were an hour late for our booking - we weren’t expecting a table and was happy to wait. I mentioned that we have been fasting all day and due to said emergency weren’t able to break our fast on time and it’s 20 minutes after that time. We were seated at the bar and given water immediately and then a table was found (by chance) very soon after. The service was incredible. Extremely attentive. The food came out quickly and the steaks were of course delicious. The potato gratin is a must and they offer variety of options on the kids menu. Kids also get colours and an activity paper! The lemon tart was very delicious and recommended

(Bichu) I ate a full English breakfast for 14,5 pounds. Oh, there was a 12% service fee added, so I paid a total of over 16 pounds. I visited because of the good reviews, but I personally didn't like the breakfast. At first, I liked the bacon because it was thick and delicious, but both the bacon sausages were salty and I ended up leaving it behind. The ingredients seemed fresh. Could it have been okay if it was a different menu? Ha, I felt really bad after eating it. It's salty and greasy.

Good steak place. Of course, expensive when located in an area popular with tourists. It was packed, but a table was found even though there was no reservation. Friendly and fast service throughout the visit. The meat fried on a hot stone tasted excellent with the side dishes. It works year after year. Five stars if the price were even slightly more reasonable. The service is top class for all visits, which are every year.

I recommend their brunch deal with the steak on stone experience if you want affordable price and more relaxing ambiance! Service is good, we even saw one of the staff trying to separate a beggar from customers 🤣

Incredible experience! Delicious lunch and dessert!

The service is just perfect (special mention to our server who spoke French well and who explained the menu to us) on the other hand it's terrible as the restaurant is noisy we can't even talk to each other. The meat is good but everything has to be paid for separately (accompaniment) so it’s very expensive

Coming here once a year during our London trip, the steak experience was great as always but omg the rhubarb crumble dessert was to die for!

I Reccomend this for the lunch menu, barely 5 mins from Charing Cross and reasonably calm on this road just off of leceister square. They have always had labels for 2 or 4 despite the fairly touristy location whenever I have passed. Plenty of space for Wheelchairs or Prams.

We ordered Steaks and it’s very tender. The red wine sauce was amazing!!! It’s just one thing, the broccoli was a bit cold. But other than that eveything was great.

I had a pre-theatre meal here and enjoyed it very much. I've eaten at other branches of Wagamama before and love their Ginger Chicken Udon. The food comes to your table as it is prepared, not in the order of starter first. All of my other dishes arrived before I finished my Korean Barbecue Beef Bao Buns. Everything was delicious.

My 5th visit in total and another birthday trip! The staff here are amazing! A few recognised me and sorted my usual table in the far left corner so I can watch everyone in there. The food as always I couldn't fault and even got treated to happy birthday sang by staff and customers! Also a special dessert too with compliments of the team! I'd go here every week if I could and can't wait to go back!!

Come here for the first time today (22/02/25) , party of 10 ( 7 adults 3 kids )... 2 of our group had birthdays .. food amazing everything spot on! Service brilliant.. service charge at 12.5% ( ours was £63) but for what they did we was happy with this... Will be returning again next month! :) Thank you for the 2 sparklers in the puddings and singing happy birthday with us! Can't wait to return

Very small disappointing portions... Tasteless small Caesar, avoid it. Smoke filled place from the stone cooked meat and lack of ventilation. Pity cause the place is nice as an ambience and location. Low quality service even on a Tuesday though fast.

A very well cooked medium-rare sirloin that was tender and juicy. Also kudos to the waiter who was very welcoming and helpful.

Separate Halal menu The steak didn’t come with any sides or toppings (just some cherry tomatoes and pea shoots) and you had to order the sides and toppings separately. We ordered fries, mushrooms, and a salad on the side with truffle butter and mushroom sauce as toppings. Also, the mushroom soup for starters. The soup was just okay. The medium-rare and medium steaks were cooked the same, which wasn’t great. The victorias punch was delicious and the staff were helpful. The atmosphere was a bit smoky since you could cook the steak at the tables. All in all, too pricy for what you got, but still a tasty meal.

What a very pleasant surprise! Entered by pure chance and the hot stone looked sizzly enough so I ordered it. One of the very best one's I've had! Not too large or over the top but just so tender and flavorful. And the included butter and condiments are matched perfectly. This place and its other locations are now on my go-to list. The staff and service definitely punch above their weight too.

Cooking it on the hot stone made the whole experience even better—you can cook it just the way you like. The hot stone is a must-try experience at least once. Potato Gratin - £6.50 - ★★★★★ These were amazing! The texture was spot on—not too hard, not too soggy—and the flavor was rich and creamy. Mac & Cheese - £5.00 - ★★★★☆ Chips - £5.00 - ★★★★★ The Experience: The food? Incredible. Everything we ordered was spot on, especially the steaks. The ribeye and sirloin were both absolute perfection, and the hot stone cooking made it even more special. The atmosphere? Mixed feelings. While the vibe of the place was good, the space was way too cramped. The tables are so small, it’s almost uncomfortable. On top of that, the sizzling from the table next to us was so close. I get that space is limited in Leicester Square, but this felt a bit much. Final Thoughts: Food Quality: ★★★★★ Service: ★★★★★ Atmosphere: ★★★☆☆ (purely because of how cramped it is) Price: ★★★★☆ Would I Go Back? Absolutely! The steaks were just that good, and the hot stone experience is something everyone should try at least once. That said, the cramped space at this branch is a bit of a turn-off. Next time, I’d probably try one of their other locations to see if the experience is a little more comfortable.

I will start by saying Cesar has impeccable service and literally made my night at steak & co the best it could have been, i couldnt have asked for a more caring, attentive waiter and i will be back again just because of his service. The food was spectacular, the hot stone wagyu is a must try before you die!!!! And the double burger is out of this world. This was my first visit to steak and co and it was my partners birthday and the whole team made it a fantastic experience. To the Leicester square team you have my eternal thanks for an amazing experience. See you all soon..... after writing this review the steak and co experience got better when the staff, without any prompting or asking, brought my partner a cake with a sparkler out and sang happy birthday. HONESTLY BEST LONDON RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD!!!!

I liked this place because it was faithful to the original taste of steak.

It was my birthday on 25th January, my Mrs booked a table and paid £44 for champagne on arrival and a dessert after dinner. We arrived No champagne we had to ask for it which was disappointing. Apart from that we had a great time, the food was great. I had the 20oz T-bone steak and my Mrs had the steak fillet with a hot plate that she could cook the steak to her liking. It was very busy and the ambience was great. We were well attended to by the staff. I would definitely recommend it to all the meat lovers 😁

A fantastic experience - great food, service and atmosphere Visited this evening, this is my second visit and expectations were high. I am pleased to say this experience completely met expectations. From the moment of arrival, we were treated well and shown to our table. My wife and I ordered 2 x stone steaks (1 x rump and 1 x sirloin) with chips and mushrooms. The server explained how to cook the steaks which was helpful. The steaks………EXCELLENT………a perfect cut of meat. Chips were seasoned well and the mushrooms had a hint of Wooster source. These complemented the streaks perfectly. The are plenty of source and butter options to complement your steak. For pudding, the sticky toffee pudding, with ice cream which again, exceeded expectations. The service was faultless. Yes there is a 12.5% service charge, but the staff earn it, they are professional and very pleasant, So don’t complain, just pay it. Great atmosphere, up beet music with relaxing lighting. In summary, an amazing dinning experience and work every penny!!!! Yes……..it’s expensive, but you are in Leicester Square eating at a premium dining experience. Well recommended.

I went here for my 4 year anniversary yesterday and it was incredible. The prawns and croquettes were amazing, and we ordered the steak stone experience which was great fun as well as being an amazing quality steak. The cocktails tasted great and our server Akash made sure everything was perfect, I noticed that a lot of the reviews online praise the service here and they are all correct, was an amazing dining experience and we will be back.

The service was great, so kuddos to the waiters! With that said, I ordered a medium-rare ribeye, which actually came almost blue. It wasn’t seasoned properly either. The potato gratin was great though. Atmosphere-wise I can say that it’s pretty noisy and I hadn’t realised people will be cooking their steaks on the tables next to me, which is completely my fault for not checking beforehand. But if you don’t want all of your clothes to smell like grilled meat, I wouldn’t recommend going there. Especially if you’re going to a theatre performance after and have no time to change…

My fillet steak, which is my favourite cut, was very good but perhaps not the best I've ever had. My wife's ribeye was probably the best of its type I've tried. The red wine was good, service was good enough, the restaurant pretty quiet. Prices were acceptable for the central London location.

Steak & Co. in Leicester Square impressed with its excellent service; we were very well looked after by friendly and attentive staff. The ambience was lovely, adding to a pleasant overall experience. While the steak was decent, we were encouraged to try the stone cooking experience. Though fun and interactive, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, and I wouldn’t recommend it over a traditionally cooked steak.

Had a great lunch here following a visit to the national portrait gallery. Not very many people in the restaurant so we’re seated straight away. I had the Wagyu double burger and I can honestly say it’s perhaps the best burger I’ve ever had anywhere, very very tasty, fries were also really nice. Had a cappuccino afterwards which was one of the best I’ve had in any restaurant. Would definately recommend and will be going back.

Ordered: 10oz Fillet Steak 12oz Rib Eye Steak Roasted Chestnut Mushrooms Chips Sundial Pillar (drink) Passion fruit Martini Chocolate Fondant Lemon Tart Beautifully presented food and drink served by professional, friendly and wonderful staff. The waitress made sure we had everything we needed and was serving with a smile. Would definitely recommend and would visit again!

This was the best steak experience I have ever tried, and the service from Joao, Akash and Piero has elevated that a whole new level. In the end, I didn’t know what I liked more, the steak or the customer service.

Was warm enough to sit outside without a coat on NYE. Prawns starter was very flavourful. Generous portion of buttery rump steak with green peppercorn sauce. Sauce tasted like gravy and was good for dipping chips which were perfectly cooked. Mac and cheese was incredible! Reasonably priced meal. Had the sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fondant for desserts. Best desserts I’ve ever tried in a restaurant and very cheap too! Will definitely be coming back. Waiters were super attentive and fixed our wobbly table without us asking, and always checked we had enough to drink.

Excellent service yesterday, despite a super busy full restaurant. So welcoming The hot stones are always a treat! Food was delicious. It was my husbands birthday and the suprised us with a delicious dessert with sparkler. They really do role model amazing service and great food.

Came to Steak & Co for a birthday party. Food was very enjoyable. The Tomahawk steak was a great experience after being recommended by our lovely waiter. Great for 2-3 sharing & fairly priced. Sides were really tasty (especially salad & fries. Mac & Cheese a little bland) The restaurant seemed liked it couldn’t keep up with the customers. Was overly busy. Waiters bumped into me twice & one waiter elbowed me as he walked past with no apology. I had to call staff to our table twice for getting our drinks & again for adding to the order so they weren’t very attentive (especially when taking service charge) Our waiter was lovely but he has his hands full & we ended up being served by 4/5 different people running around. I would try a different branch.

Ate delicious steaks. Quite a choice from steaks from the house to premium steaks and fried yourself on your table using a hot stone. Unfortunately, the noise level is a bit on the high side. Super friendly service!

Overall we did not enjoy our experience as the food took a very long time to come, when the food arrived the steaks were not cooked how we requested, some of them were way over cooked for a medium request and others were not rare enough. For a steak restaurant this should be the main focus as we has higher expectations.

Very good restaurant close to tourist places and quite accessible even during busy times. The food was good and the portions were generous. However, the service fees are a little expensive, this is the only "negative" point of the restaurant. I recommend for any meat lover.

Booked a table at steak and co for our visit to London a few days before Christmas. Was not sure what to expect but the restaurant had a fantastic atmosphere and the food was delicious. My daughter and I had steak on the hot stone and it was amazing. Having done this previously in a different restaurant and the smoke alarm going off she was apprehensive but our waiter, Farhan, was superb and made her feel like there would be no problem, which there wasn't. Despite the restaurant being extremely busy the service always superb. Highly recommended for a treat night.

We did the theater set menu and we're done in plenty of time for our theater tickets. I'd really love to come back and try the hot stone option.

Diego, the manager, managed to squeeze us in and we are so glad he did. We had a fabulous meal, great service, a lovely bottle of wine, and given the location (right across the road from the theatre we were going to in central London), was really good value too. All the steaks looked amazing, and our chateaubriand was out of this world. Thanks Diego - we will definitely be back!

It was my first meal in London and it was a total success. The steak was delicious and the price was reasonable. I was surprised that the mac and cheese was actually better than the one I had in the US. I think I'll come again before I move from London!
