Curious place with a lot of charm to visit. It is a cafe in the crypt of the church where they have self-service salty and sweet food at a very good price, as well as a very delicious coffee. Depending on the day there are concerts and events. Highly recommended to make a stop to recover energy next to Trafalgar Square. Be careful, they don't open early (11:00 am approx) and the hours vary a little depending on the week.

The cafe in the Crypt is an enjoyable eating experience in the heart of London's West End and matched with excellent service and friendly staff. The cafe has ample seating and gets very busy during lunchtime, so time your visits carefully. Being in the actual Crypt of St Martin's in the fields, some may feel a bit strange about sharing their lunch with the graves of 18th-century person's who were interred here, but in truth, they offer a historical reference and a talking point. The staff offers very good information regarding potential allergens and intolerance issues that may be contained within their produce, and their service is prompt.

Absolutely horrible! I am amazed at the 4.3 rating. The food was terrible. It takes a lot for me not to eat something, since I am tolerant of most food. While the food looked so appetizing, it tasted horrible. And if it were just me, perhaps I could chalk it out to an aberration. But we were 10 of us and we universally hated the food. Even the desserts!!! Since this was cafeteria style there was not much as far as service is concerned. The atmosphere was okay. You have to just imagine that you are in a crypt. Nothing particularly about the decor gives you that experience.

Situated opposite Trafalgar Square, it is nice escaping the hustle and bustle of the streets. There is a lift down to the cafe as well as a spiral staircase. Food is reasonably priced ( everything seems to have gone up post covid/Brexit), staff are friendly. I would suggest a menu is available on the wall while you are queuing as you haven't got a clue what is available and the price until you are in front of the counter. Mainly wraps, pizza, salad, quiche, jacket potato available ( limited fillings) plus fish and chips etc. I have had afternoon tea here before but could see no mention of it. Toilet area is kept clean.

The cafe located in the crypt beneath the historic church in Trafalgar Square has a charming and concealed ambience. However, the thought of resting bodies beneath the floor of the cafe hinders my ability to fully enjoy the food there. Despite the cosy and relaxing atmosphere, I find it challenging to eat or drink in such a setting. Nevertheless, it remains a great place to visit. Regrettably, the names and notes on the floor are gradually deteriorating, making some of them difficult to read. Nonetheless, it is an intriguing location that is undoubtedly worth a visit.
