Food in the restaurant was very over priced. Not a lot to see at this time of year, lambing time is over, which we knew before going, but thought there would have been other things to do. Maybe a thought for management for the future.

What can I say…. £15.50 for an English sounded steep but happy to pay for good food. Good food it wasn’t! It was perhaps the worst English breakfast we have had in years and was more like what you would get at the bus station cafe! Bacon - dried out and clearly stuck in a pan to long Sausage - one tiny sausage and not even a great one Beans - cold Eggs - quite nice Mushrooms- seemed like they were tinned and just warmed up Black pudding - burnt to a crisp Toast- cheapest bread possible Coffee - very bitter This isn’t what we expected or what we drove 25 miles to sample and I can’t see what there are good reviews as this just isn’t a £15.50 breakfast which ever way you spin it . Sorry but perhaps the review will mean you can improve .

Visiting The Lambing Shed in Knutsford, Cheshire was an absolute delight from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality from every member of staff, that instantly made us feel at home. The food at The Lambing Shed exceeded all expectations. Every dish was prepared with care and attention, bursting with flavour and freshness. From our hearty breakfast, to the delicious lunches and amazing desserts, there was something to satisfy every palate. The locally sourced ingredients truly shone through, adding an extra layer of authenticity to each dish. The coffee, is simply amazing. One of the unique aspects of The Lambing Shed is the livestock. Being able to interact with the farm animals on-site added an extra level of charm to our visit. It was a joy to see the care and love given to the animals, and it created a truly memorable experience for both adults and children alike. The ambiance of The Lambing Shed is cosy and inviting, with a rustic charm and a very relaxed atmosphere. Whether enjoying a meal indoors or soaking up the sunshine on the outdoor areas, every moment spent here was thoroughly enjoyable. The farm shop is full of fresh, home grown and locally sourced produce, that I thought offered great value for money. Overall, I cannot recommend The Lambing Shed highly enough. It is a gem in the heart of Knutsford, offering not only exceptional food but also a unique and unforgettable experience. I look forward to returning again soon. Thank you to Kathryn and the wonderful team at The Lambing Shed for making our visit so special. I can't wait to visit again very soon.!!

Popped in after a dog walk in Toft. Such a lovely unique place. Shop is well stocked and varied. Butchers amazing. Stayed for lunch, dog friendly. Had the salt and pepper cauliflower….. wow! Also had buttermilk chicken wrap which was delicious. Beautiful setting. Friendly staff. Re: the few negative reviews about service, please can we remember that all the food is freshly cooked to order!!! and at busy times it will be busy. Oh and be kind to hospitality staff they are trying their best to ensure we have a lovely experience and food. Would highly recommend, sit, enjoy the views and slow down the pace

This is one of our regular haunts for morning coffee and tea cakes. They also do excellent lunches. The food never disappoints (the truffle and Parmesan fries are a particular favourite) and the staff are always friendly. We also enjoy a good mooch around the farm shop afterwards, and usually get tempted to buy more than we intended to. It’s very handy for present buying. All in all this is a great spot to while away an hour or two. You might spot the odd celebrity in there too!

Brusque reception at front desk. Told to choose our own table. Waiter took our order after 10 mins but for drinks only!!! We wanted two Sunday lunches so expected quick turnaround. He refused to take our food order but gave no explanation why. The room was busy but not with staff. Most tables had finished eating or were waiting. Waited further 20 mins but no one came back. No communication. We were disrespected. Gave up the wait and left feeling very hangry. Sorry to say we won't go back.

The staff were not friendly. It was our first visit and we went to the counter to ask if we took a table - the lady was very curt. When someone came to ask for our drinks order, I asked for a diet coke - not on the menu! i ordered a pot of tea. My friend also wanted a fizzy drink but the menu was very limited. The waitress suggested a strawberry and lime drink, which was ordered. When the bottle came, it stated it also had cucumber in it - it was not pleasant. The food was overpriced with, again, a limited choice. We asked if we could choose chicken strips and fries from the children's menu as we didn't want a big meal. We were told we could do this. When we came to pay the bill, an extra £8.00 was added as "it was the only way they could charge for an adult meal". We were not told this would happen at the point of ordering the meal. All in all, a great disappointment. I had heard such good things about the Lambing Shed but I would not recommend to anyone and certainly won't be visiting again - totally underwhelming.

I met up with family at the restaurant here and we were seated in the covered area outdoors, which was surprisingly warm on a rainy winters day. It's deservedly busy as the food and atmosphere are excellent and my sandwich was both tasty and generous and the fries crispy; you certainly won't go hungry! Perhaps because it was busy service was a bit slow and we had to ask a few times for things. The shop is quite expensive but it's got a range of artisan food and gifts including produce from the farm. The final thing was it's really easy to get to from the M6 so if you fancy somewhere with much better food than the services this is great.

First time visiting this farm cafe and we were quietly pleased... we'd read a few stories in previous reviews but thought we would give it a try. Wifey had soup which she liked. I picked the signature Lambing shed burger which I thought lacked a bit of pizzazz and colour, I told the waitress it could do with a salad and within five minutes was presented with a beautiful salad to complement the dish. Thanks for listening and hopefully we will return in the near future. There's always room for improvement😉

We took our 2 young grandchildren here for lunch as a treat. When we arrived at 12.05pm we were shown to our table by a rather scruffy lady & were told that it would be half an hour until our orders were taken as the kitchen was 'catching up', whatever that meant. Even though lunch was supposed to start at 12pm. We then waited over half an hour before the waitress came to take our order. Although there were quite a few staff, only one seemed to taking orders. We then waited another half an hour before the food came. Our grandchildren were very patient but we were extremely unhappy with the standard of service and the 'don't care' attitude to the customers. We shall not return.

The shop was the only saving grace. We paid to visit the pumpkin patch, only to find 99% of the pumpkins were already rotting/squishy. £4.50 for a rotten muddy pumpkin 👎🏻 There were some nice photo opportunities, but it needed some straw putting down, or a hay bale for children to stand on to be able to have a photo taken. I wouldn't bother next year.

The cafe is a shambles! It is our third time eating here. Each experience has been poor. First time we waited ages for food! Second time we left as the food wait was such a long time and we went back a third time today to give it another go as we only live down the road. This was the worst! We waited 40 minutes for a drink after being told they’d forgotten about us, the coffee was awful and tasted burnt. I actually burnt my tongue it was that hot. My husband didn’t finish his as he said it was disgusting. We were told the food would be a bit of a wait. It came after an hour and ten minutes. The food was nice but not worth the price. The toilets were dirty and there was no hand soap. We will not be eating here again and I will not be recommending it. Cafe was so disappointing for the area and expectations. The farm shop and meat counters are lovely and can’t fault them.

My husband and I had a lovely afternoon with our two dogs at the Pumpkin Patch. There were so many different sized pumpkins to choose from, all the same price. Plus really cute activities as well like a swing and spider haybales. They provided wheelbarrows as well for the pumpkins too. Sadly we didn't find any glitter pumpkins though and win a prize! We then stayed for the most delicious cake and coffee. The cake portions were very generous and the boys behind the counter serving coffee were lovely. One in particular could tell I was struggling to carry everything, so went and got me a coffee carrier and also some wooden forks to eat the cake. He was most helpful. I've done pumpkin picking in the past and been disappointed with the lack of pumpkins. However, I cannot say the same about The Lambing Shed. So much choice!.It was a lovely afternoon out!

My issue was getting the attention of any of the staff. I shouted out, waved at them, nothing. I had to walk in and then got an excuse from one saying she was training someone. My issue isn't that she was training, that obviously needs to happen, my issue is that every other staff member ignored me. An oasis when quiet, yet can get very busy bordering on the chaotic when packed ... arrive early and/or book as the food is great if you're eating in or out, & the butcher's counter is well worth a visit for any hungry meat eater 🍖

Had long wanted to visit here and look at the farmshop / try the cafe after reading about it in the press. Overall good but I think that it has been slightly over hyped. Both rooms of the cafe were very busy but I was seated straight away. Service was very friendly but a bit on the slow side as there were only 2 members of staff covering both areas. Ordered the poached eggs with avocado on toast, this took a very long time to arrive and the eggs yolks were overcooked and had set. Possibly due to being under a heat lamp waiting to be collected? As I am sure that they know how to cook poached eggs. Coffee was delicious though the flat white is served in a quite small cup. I think that the main draw of the farm shop is the meat counter ( their own products). I would say that the rest is typically what you find in other farm shops apart from the freezer section which has a very interesting range of homestyle products that I would purchase again. So would definitely return for that and the great coffee and maybe try something else to eat.
