They really need to sort out the service in recent months. It is incredibly slow with incredibly non urgent/slow members of management staff taking orders. If the system is that only certain people can take orders then you simply can not have only 1 or two people taking orders on some of your lost busy days! We come here all the time and it's getting to the point where we can't manage it without dedicating a whole afternoon to waiting around for the food/ordering it takes so long! Also never the most friendly of staff either, considering we are regulars there is never really a warm welcome or acknowledgement that we know them etc which could be much improved. We always enjoy the food (apart from beef burger, these are awful quality and taste), and love the atmosphere however service recently has deteriorated for sure. Hopefully this can be improved soon

It was my first visit to the Lambing Shed and I would highly recommend it. We had the Farmer's breakfast and could not fault a thing on the plate. It is true that it is not the cheapest breakfast out there, but you get what you pay for and they use local produce so the quality is excellent. Also had a look around the farm shop, nice range of products available and very friendly staff. I have just visited again and the Eggs benedict is also excellent! Having been multiple times, still have no issues, only tip is it can get busy at weekends so better to go earlier if you can.

Yet again (see earlier review below) I find myself singing praises for the 'Shed' as my clients and I now affectionately call it. High standards maintained and Louise has taken over, and mebbie even surpassed, where Becks left off. 👏🏻👏🏻 ------ I frequently take some local clients to the Lambing Shed for business coaching sessions over coffee and cakes. The environment is relaxed and all the team are attentive and friendly. Coffee (can't comment on the food so perhaps a business lunch is required ?) is good too ! Special shout out to Becks who always manages to find us a 'meeting room' and provides exemplary customer service !

I've visited a few times within the last couple of months, and while I'd previously thought the food was nice, I always thought the service wasn't too good. Each visit I'd asked multiple times for water. The latest visit was for afternoon tea. Once again, we'd asked multiple times for water, for other additional drinks, some of which we'd never received, and then they started closing around us, without even notifying us it's closing time. We received whipped cream instead of clotted, so when I'd asked for clotted, they advised they'd run out - but didn't apologise nor inform us initially that we weren't being served clotted cream. Several hours later, I found myself to be rather poorly with what we could only distinguish as food poisoning. When I was eating the smoked salmon, I did mention to my husband that it didn't quite taste right, so I'd left it. There was no point in informing staff, as I've said, it was hard enough to get the drinks we'd asked for, so I didn't want to be a further nuisance. That evening was rather unpleasant along with the morning after. Once it was out of my system, I felt fine again. But it is safe to say that I won't be returning there again.

What a great little place this is, especially for children. However, although there are lots of lambs in spring, what about the rest of the year? The restaurant and farm shop are more than worth a visit if lambs aren't your thing. The restaurant in particular. At first glance the menu is expensive but the quality is there, including even the condiments. The portions are huge, so a shared sandwich works out at good value. What we had was excellent, the guys in the kitchen are a cut above similar places we have been to. I believe they have won awards which isn't surprising.

Lovely trip to The Lambing Shed - we called in on spec for some lunch. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Visited with my dad who is going through cancer treatment - eating is an issue for him, the only food that appealed was an item from the breakfast menu and the staff very kindly rustled this up for him. My mum and I had the sticky beef and rice noodles - this is the best I've ever tasted! The beef was perfectly cooked and melted in the mouth - I've had this meal in other places and it's usually a bit too chewy. Obviously the meat was high quality. We will definitely call again - thank you!

After a poor experience a few years ago we decided to give this place another try. Should have bothered. Firstly the service is awful. The staff are surly and refused to take our order until 12:05 🫤 meaning we had to sit and wait to order for 15 minutes. Secondly the menu is poorly constructed with few vegetarian options. Thirdly the cost for what turns out is bog standard food is crazy. On the kids menu a single sausage, chips and peas was £8 and £17 for a sandwich is ridiculous. This was definitely the last chance I've given the place.

What can I say…. £15.50 for an English sounded steep but happy to pay for good food. Good food it wasn’t! It was perhaps the worst English breakfast we have had in years and was more like what you would get at the bus station cafe! Bacon - dried out and clearly stuck in a pan to long Sausage - one tiny sausage and not even a great one Beans - cold Eggs - quite nice Mushrooms- seemed like they were tinned and just warmed up Black pudding - burnt to a crisp Toast- cheapest bread possible Coffee - very bitter This isn’t what we expected or what we drove 25 miles to sample and I can’t see what there are good reviews as this just isn’t a £15.50 breakfast which ever way you spin it . Fared better than at your average motorway service station, which is the reason we chose to make a detour off the M6, but sadly in no rush to return. Hubbie ordered chunky chips- disappointing soft. Very little choice for me, being both gluten and dairy free. With hope I ordered a crayfish salad- it was OK, a bit wet, like it had just been quicky defrosted before mixing with the marie sauce. However I faired better with skinny fries, crunchy to the last. Toilets clean. Farm shop well stocked with lovely fresh produce. Lovely flower, pots and plants vendor on site.

Visiting The Lambing Shed in Knutsford, Cheshire was an absolute delight from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality from every member of staff, that instantly made us feel at home. The food at The Lambing Shed exceeded all expectations. Every dish was prepared with care and attention, bursting with flavour and freshness. From our hearty breakfast, to the delicious lunches and amazing desserts, there was something to satisfy every palate. The locally sourced ingredients truly shone through, adding an extra layer of authenticity to each dish. The coffee, is simply amazing. One of the unique aspects of The Lambing Shed is the livestock. Being able to interact with the farm animals on-site added an extra level of charm to our visit. It was a joy to see the care and love given to the animals, and it created a truly memorable experience for both adults and children alike. The ambiance of The Lambing Shed is cosy and inviting, with a rustic charm and a very relaxed atmosphere. Whether enjoying a meal indoors or soaking up the sunshine on the outdoor areas, every moment spent here was thoroughly enjoyable. The farm shop is full of fresh, home grown and locally sourced produce, that I thought offered great value for money. Overall, I cannot recommend The Lambing Shed highly enough. The staff were not friendly. It was our first visit and we went to the counter to ask if we took a table - the lady was very curt. When someone came to ask for our drinks order, I asked for a diet coke - not on the menu! i ordered a pot of tea. My friend also wanted a fizzy drink but the menu was very limited. The waitress suggested a strawberry and lime drink, which was ordered. When the bottle came, it stated it also had cucumber in it - it was not pleasant. The food was overpriced with, again, a limited choice. We asked if we could choose chicken strips and fries from the children's menu as we didn't want a big meal. We were told we could do this. When we came to pay the bill, an extra £8.00 was added as "it was the only way they could charge for an adult meal". We were not told this would happen at the point of ordering the meal. All in all, a great disappointment. I had heard such good things about the Lambing Shed but I would not recommend to anyone and certainly won't be visiting again - totally underwhelming.

Perhaps because it was busy service was a bit slow and we had to ask a few times for things. The cafe is a shambles! It is our third time eating here. Each experience has been poor. First time we waited ages for food! Second time we left as the food wait was such a long time and we went back a third time today to give it another go as we only live down the road. This was the worst! We waited 40 minutes for a drink after being told they’d forgotten about us, the coffee was awful and tasted burnt. I actually burnt my tongue it was that hot. My husband didn’t finish his as he said it was disgusting. We were told the food would be a bit of a wait. It came after an hour and ten minutes. The food was nice but not worth the price. The toilets were dirty and there was no hand soap. We will not be eating here again and I will not be recommending it. Cafe was so disappointing for the area and expectations. The farm shop and meat counters are lovely and can’t fault them.

My husband and I had a lovely afternoon with our two dogs at the Pumpkin Patch. There were so many different sized pumpkins to choose from, all the same price. Plus really cute activities as well like a swing and spider haybales. They provided wheelbarrows as well for the pumpkins too. Sadly we didn't find any glitter pumpkins though and win a prize! We then stayed for the most delicious cake and coffee. The cake portions were very generous and the boys behind the counter serving coffee were lovely. One in particular could tell I was struggling to carry everything, so went and got me a coffee carrier and also some wooden forks to eat the cake. He was most helpful. I've done pumpkin picking in the past and been disappointed with the lack of pumpkins. However, I cannot say the same about The Lambing Shed. So much choice!.It was a lovely afternoon out!

Our favourite place to visit! We came today as a family of 4 (plus dog) to do pumpkin picking and dinner. The staff can’t do enough for you, so friendly and accommodating. The food is always so fresh and cooked to perfection. The location is...

We have been visiting the Lambing Shed regularly on a Saturday morning and have to say it's customer service has dropped significantly over the last few weeks. The lady taking orders yesterday should be trained on how to deal with customer as she is rude...

Called here for breakfast, good choice on the menu apart from the sausage or bacon roll is on a brioche bun, shame they don't offer a choice of bread (I understand people like this but it's not my choice due to the sweetness). The full...

Not my best experience of eating in Knutsford, I like to be able to talk to my partner, sadly last night we could not. Not the best of service up stairs.

No cask ales (all 3 were off) and no food so didnt drink or eat. To be fair the kitchen had had a leak but why not update their Facebook page to warn people?

We visited the Wizard Tea Rooms while attending a corporate volunteering day at Alderley Edge National Trust Park, and what a treat the Tea Rooms were! From start to finish, my colleague and I had easy communication with the lovely ladies who run the tea rooms - Harriet and Rachel. They provided us with the menu and prices in advance of the day, and we decided to opt for teas and coffees in the morning, soup and sandwiches for lunch, and another round of teas of coffees after lunch for our group of 26. One week on and I'm still talking about the delicious mushroom and garlic soup, cheese and beetroot sandwiches, BLTs and egg mayo sandwiches! We felt everything was reasonably priced, and the ladies took great care of us on the day -nothing was too much trouble. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Wizard Tea Rooms to friends and family, or corporate companies. In fact, I will be back to visit with my kids and dog for an ice cream (yes they do doggy ice cream too!) Also - the venue itself is gorgeous - seating indoors (all 26 fit inside), but plenty outside too. Really charming old-world feel inside the tea room which we all loved. Many thanks to the wonderful staff for looking after us so well - Alison and James.
