Lovely young couple have run the pub for the last year. Food at lunchtime and in the evenings. Real ale, skittle alley. Also great wedding venue

Ok so this place is a bit rough around the edges, but if you just want a pint, a bag of crisps and to shoot some pool among friendly locals, then give this a go. It is what you make it. Taken on by a young landlord team just over a year ago, this place is on a journey offering traditional pub events ... a skittle alley, quiz nights, darts and cribbage. No frills, no fuss. Ps I am a holidaymaker staying in the area so am reviewing impartially 👍

The mountain biking is fantastic. But Park at PedalBike and support the trails.

Recommended by the local Dean's Wood campsite with a caveat of it being 'rustic', we enjoyed a very tasty excellent value for money meal and drinks. Our dogs were welcome, and the Land Lady was lovely. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for all weather. With a small play area available for children. Watch out for the local sheep wandering the roads and verges!

We had a fabulous family meal at The Bell on Saturday evening and very reasonably priced. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was beautiful (especially the fish pie, which was to die for) Today, The Bell did us proud again when they provided a wonderful after funeral buffet for us at a very reasonable price. The selection of fresh sandwiches and home made cakes was fabulous plus sausage rolls, samosas, pork pies, sausages, dips, salads, crisps, nuts etc etc. Thank you both for looking after us all so well . We will see you again soon. Xx
