The Lamb Inn in South Gloucestershire

Absolutely first class evening meal at the Lamb with family and friends. Good value, excellent service, great atmosphere. I even tried a different dish to my usual choices! Thanks very much to Brendan, Tracey and the staff.

The quiz guy is amazing 10 out of 10 would quizz again ! Drinks were fantastic staff were loverly ! Uhh needs more characters so I added this bit lol 😆

The welcome, the service, the food, and the value are excellent. We had 3 x Sunday roasts, a nut roast, and extra pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese. Followed by 4 x excellent sweets. The beer and wine were excellent. We will be back. Thanks to all the staff.

Group of 12 for Christmas meal. Service was excellent. Food very good. Atmosphere great. Difficult to fault it! Will certainly go again next year

3 of us ordered together. My meal came 40 minutes before my 2 friends. Luckily I had salad so I could wait. Had to ask twice what was going on to be told ‘mix up’ in the kitchen. Took 30 mins to get apology. Also loads of broken glass on the floor where we were sat (under the pagoda). My dog nearly lay on a massive piece. Food was OK but on the expensive side for lunch (£15-16 for chicken chips and salmon salad). Won’t go back as this is the second time out of 4 I’ve had to complain.

Went in for lunch. Lovely old pub, staff friendly and efficient. We took advantage of the Two for One offer. And I can honestly say it was the best steak I’ve had for a very long time. No frills, just pub grub at its best.

I think i must have hit an unlucky spot because my burger was pretty bad. Dry bun, the transparent slice of plastic cheese on top was completely unmelted, the actual meat burger was quite good, but half cold and that was about it. Tiny, plastic sachets of mayonnaise and tomato sauce. Nothing juicy, nothing to get your teeth into. Very disappointing. Chips were lovely though. But the table was off puttingly sticky. And we were still eating our meal when a waitress cleaned the table next to us with highly pungent disinfectant. This filled the room with a very strong smell and made it unpleasant to eat our meal in a whirl of disinfectant! I have to say the staff were absolutely lovely. So such a shame they can’t upgrade the food. I would rather pay more for it and have a better experience. Just a few tweaks and it could be really good. Perhaps i should try another meal next time!

We visited last week and again this week for the Sunday lunch. The meat and potatoes are well cooked and the Yorkshire pudding very tasty. There is a good choice of vegetables and you can order extra if you like. There is a also good choice of desserts. The staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The only negative is there is no real choice of 00 lagers or beers.

Visited on Sunday with 3 friends for roast dinner. 1 friend had an enormous portion of Nut Roast which she said was very tasty, and two of us had roast pork, and I had Turkey. Generous helpings of meat and lovely variety of well cooked vegetables, nicely presented. Service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely return again soon.

Went last night for a family meal. Three of us had different dishes and all of them were delicious. My steak was cooked to perfection. My sister in law said her Hunters Chicken was the best she had ever tasted and my husband had the Liver and Onions and said it was very tasty. The staff were all friendly and we will certainly be going again.
