Looking for a warm dry pub that allows dogs - we went to the Lamb. New management so not yet really ready for full service but more than compensated by the warm welcome from Toni who said we three elders plus our two dogs were welcome. She couldn’t offer a menu but we were welcome to have a drink and bring in a nibble. So we did. The welcome more than compensated for the chilly reception for dogs elsewhere. The pub is apparently going to be refurbished, we liked the slightly down at heel with a warm heart. Pool table, looking for people to make up a team. Decent toilets. Warm & comfy pub, we liked it. Great little cosy pub in a great location

Went to The Lamb to the monthly karate/wagyu steak night. I can't believe Shang Chi beat his opponent with a 5 star frog splash! When the tournament finished The Lamb owners gave everyone a free warm carling and Welsh cakes! Will be going to many more events in The Lamb

Hi it’s peg leg Pete here I am a regular at the lamb and everyone here is soo friendly, I love coming here after a long week at work and it’s a great place to relax when you have two little brats at home. I love the A5 Wagyu steak, it’s to die for.

Took our family out to celebrate our Shannon O’ Hoolahans 9th baby shower. With ample parking a mere 10 minute walk away, and with plenty of friendly locals upon arrival, we felt we had found our forever watering hole. We ordered our drinks and they were served to us which I thought was fantastic customer service. There was a group of jolly locals down by the snooker tables enjoying a good ol’ catch up and having a swift half after a day grinding away in the city. They were singing a rendition of Sweet Caroline beside the Jukebox creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere upon arrival. We all decided to opt for a packet of Scampi Fries due to us being booked in to the local curry house, but the food leaving the kitchen looked very appetising, especially the Wagyu Steak. Shannon, after delivering her 8th baby, right outside the doors of the pub only 12 months ago, decided that when she falls again, she will certainly be holding her baby shower here. All in all- a fantastic experience, 10 on 10…..

Went here for a few drinks after a hard days graft. The pint of Carling I was served hit the spot, it was the perfect temperature. Rather than being ice cold like most pubs, this was a delicious room temperature, exactly how Carling is supposed to be enjoyed. After a lovely Carling, I felt a bit hungry, I ordered the signature A5 Wagyu steak which was perfectly cooked. The staff were friendly and the place well maintained. Bonus points for Dyson Airblade hand dryers in the toilets. Cannot wait to come back for another Carling and steak.

I know The Bull has always been regarded as having the greatest ambience in Romford but I will not stand for that any longer. The warm welcome we received from the Lamb’s staff & clientele was topped only by the quality food and exciting selection of exclusive craft ales. Particular praise to the chef for the Wagyu sirloin which we enjoyed whilst observing the cabaret. Thanks again to Dimitri and co for such a memorable evening!

I like going to pubs on my own, it’s not that I don’t have friends I just despise them getting in the way of a good drink sesh with inane chit chat. The Lamb oozes charm and appeal for the solo drinker. You don’t have to worry about pesky waits for drinks, there’s no one in there to get in the way. There’s an extensive range of savoury snacks from pork scratchings all the way to Nobbys nuts. You order a drink and there it is. Bang Bosh Just like magic.

We took our top clients for a meal to discuss upcoming business, the food was incredible!! The A5 wagyu steak was cooked to perfection and the band Conviction was out of this world they are gonna go far!

Don't quite understand the poor ratings, the food is incredible and service is second to none! The A5 wagyu steak... my oh my... haven't had something like that in quite some time, tender, moist and bloody mouthwatering! If you're a fan of cosplay, id recommend taking a visit on Fridays! They had a pub full of fancy dress, including the group of gents dressed as Police Officers! Will be bringing my little one for a pint!

I had a Turkey dinner near Christmas which I was very nervous about after the incident with the Turkey at The Railway pub over in Hornchurch. I was pleasantly surprised, the Turkey was moist, flavourful and more importantly, didn’t kill me. 10/10

After a bad experience last week I thought not everything is always 100% we would try again last night and it was the worst disaster ever! Trouble and repetitive rude staff!

Good pub with a great bunch of locals

I visited the Lamb recently and was thoroughly disappointed at how far downhill it has gone. It was one of my favourite pubs as a youngster. We were supposed to be shown to a table but weren't so we finally found one ourselves. We waited a ludicrous amount of time to attract the attention of a waiter. Most of the other clientele were, shall we say, showing the signs of having been on the premises for a very very long time. Everyone was talking at shouting level. It was not a very pleasant experience.

First visit since new management have taken over. Bar staff are a great laugh and very friendly. Beer is clean and average price for romford. The decor is great with traditional pub setup - plenty of tables and space for a good night to be had! Bouncers were decent enough and kept the clientel well behaved! Hope they get the live bands back soon, they made for a fantastic atmosphere.

Beer is fresh and decent one of the few in Romford you are guaranteed a pint that is worth the money. Staff are great. Old school English pub.

Normal pub. Beer is okay, it can be very noisy on weekends. On the plus side: live music. Minus: cleanliness leaves much to be desired.

Had Seniors meal. Great value for money. Service excellent.

Bar staff get orders wrong overcharge and refuse to rectify their mistakes. Incredibly rude manager who has no customer service skills at all and Has a very bad attitude. In short this is a pub that steals people's money. Avoid at all costs.

Visited to eat/drink while watching the recent England vs. Holland football match; beer choice was good with reasonable prices but the food was pretty awful and the service, though quick, was not much better. Maybe they couldn't cope with the number of orders as the pub was busy but we certainly won't be eating here again.

Donna is the hostess with the most. Excellent staff but Donna is our favourite. Fab food at extremely reasonable prices. Night times are great here too with live bands for every taste.

A small pub where time seems to have stopped. It's fascinating how everything welcomes you and gives you a sense of belonging, even if it's your first time entering.

A drug den, a weekly turn over of staff. Terrible management and over priced drinks. Used to be a lovely pub. Ruined by current owner.

ive been drinking in this pub for years now we know most of the punters, the bouncers etc they change the bar staff every other month. they recently hired a new chef 5 days ago who's polish who got the hump that we were sitting in the smoking area while it was being painted but left it 4 hours before telling us we couldn't sit out there anymore (with an attitude) then a little while later he says we have to leave cos he thinks we are dealers we couldnt believe it he said he didn't want to see us there again he also told me he owned the pub & his name's above the door, so im going to complain to the landlady hopefully he gets saked. we've never had a problem before & we were celebrating my birthday also we were there a couple days before when he was working there he was ok with us we act no different everytime were there. im not happy

Not to everyone’s taste, bit rough around the edges but I like it. Classic boozer, recently decorated. I think the burgers are above average for pub food but have had a couple of bad experiences when “the chef was off” when he’s there they’re pretty good, when he’s not... they’re not.

What can I say ...love this pub great entertainment at weekends.

Sad little place struggling to survive

Enjoyed the food and the staff is friendly. Locals seem a bit tough, lunch time and a bar fight occurred while we were there - staff handled the situation very quickly.

Pub looks great, however went for lunch on a quiet Tuesday, there were less than 10 people in the place. 40mins later the food still hadn't arrived. When staff were asked, they said 'there was a mix up in the kitchen,' yet no one else was eating. The staff didn't clock that the food hadn't arrived and no offer of a discount/ free drink etc

Lovely old fashioned pub. Live bands great atmosphere and staff who are real people not robots. New guvnor has a wicked dry sense of humour. A proper local. John-boy.

Came here for lunch and so far I have had an excellent steak and cheese Philly sub and the full English breakfast which were both top notch. Granted it's a pub so has a different atmosphere but the food really is worth trying.

The only thing Irish about that place is the pricelist . Started off promising gaelic football never happened Place went downhill when niamh left

Every time me and my friends go in to this pub it is always so friendly. The staff (mostly Irish) are always up for a chat. Food prices are a bit high however I was told that all produce comes straight from Ireland so cant really complain. 100% better then when it was the Lamb

Terrific atmosphere, Tony and his bar staff were great (full of jokes), the Guinness in good shape. Will go again.
