Went with a group of friends to watch a 6 piece band playing live. Busy Saturday night spoilt by too few staff serving for a night with a band playing live. Drinks were reasonable. Nice pub and a good night.

We had never been here before but as it is going to be our nearest local soon, thought we would give it a try. This is probably the cleanest pub I have ever been in it is also bright, friendly and well priced and Boy is the food good, we all had a great Sunday Lunch and then enjoyed a couple of drinks in the beer garden and even those tables are scrubbed., It did seem quiet and looked as though it could do with more local Support Personaly the only downside was they were limited on the Real Ale but we will be back and recomend people give it a try. We had Sunday lunch here with family today. Wow! home cooked roast lamb with all the trimmings. It was truly delicious and brilliant value for money Lovely attentive landlord who ensured everything was perfect. We would highly recommend this gem of a place.

We ate there twice while staying locally. The menu was interesting and varied. All the main courses were delicious and nicely presented, generous helpings of puddings too. The owner was polite, charming and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Took my Mum, Dad and doggie for Sunday lunch last weekend. We had a 5 star Sunday lunch at a most reasonable price. The service was impeccable and we loved it! This venue is friendly, very well run and the most welcoming of any venue I have visited. Thank you for a lovely meal and afternoon. We will be back soon. A real treasure.

We visited for lunch today. Service was fast and friendly. I had the salmon pasta, my wife had a croatian beef dish. Food was served hot and both dishes were very tasty.

We've been twice in the post-lockdown period and really enjoyed it both times, the new landlords (I say new, they've probably had the place nearly 2 years now) have really improved the atmosphere of the place, as well as the level of service and the standard of food. The Balkan twists on the dishes are great, I've had the fish and chips which is excellent and last time had the Pasticada, an authentic Croatian beef stew that came with lovely potatoes, brilliantly cooked. One touch we like is how they sautee the peas in garlic, might not be for everyone but I think it's really tasty. It would be remiss of me not to mention that my partner said the Calamari starter is the best Calamari she's ever had, that she's paid double for it before in the City and it not being anywhere close to how well cooked and tasty this was. I did pinch a piece and must concur. Great job to the family running The Lamb, it's a little gem, friendly, laid back and good food for very reasonable prices. I don't know why you'd bother with some of the overpriced bistros in Nantwich when you can pop here and have a quality meal for a decent price.

Having just moved to the area we were anxious to find somewhere local to enjoy a drink and a meal. Luckily we found The Lamb. This was our first visit and certainly won't be our last. The place was tastefully decorated and we received a warm welcome on arrival. The menu was varied and the dishes we chose were delicious. Prices were reasonable, including the wine which can be overpriced in some establishments. Looking forward to our next visit.

Excellent meal. Lots of choice of starters and main meals. Several vegetarian options. All of the meals freshly made and very tasty. The Croatian style goulash was incredible. Prices really reasonable. Well worth a visit.

What a difference a change of landlord can do,from our last visit which was very disappointing and not very welcoming.This time we were welcomed in a very friendly manner by Dragan and his daughter who were on bar duty and his wife who did the excellent cooking.My wife had the fish of the day which was salmon with prawns and Mediterranean style vegetables,i had the Pasticada which is a beef stew ,roast potatoes and the lovely veg.Both the dishes were very tasty and delicious cooked in a more family traditional way.My pint of bitter and my wife's pinot rose wine were also very good.The family really deserve to do well here as they are making a wonderful effort to make it successful.

The menu is just that little bit different from the usual pub fayre. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. My husband had the fish of the day which was really nice. I had the escalope of chicken which was moist and tasty and came with pan fried vegetables which is such a nice change. We really enjoyed our meal here and definitely recommended it.

Very clean fresh tasty homemade cooked food

This pub has struggled for some time and must have come close to closing but now under new management and they are really making a effort having put there own stamp on the place and deserve to succeed. Drinks are reasonably priced and the main menu offers a sensible choice and the food is of excellent quality and also reasonably priced. There is also a Bar Menu offering lighter meals.There is a nice atmosphere a comfortable environment and the service is of a high standard as well. Ok the Village has the Nags Head and the Social Club but it should take pride in this place as well as it clearly fulfills a need.It can now be described as a Gem. I am sure word is getting round and it will go from strength to strength but the message to Willaston is obvious "Use it or Lose it"

It's quite a nice pub, the present host is trying very hard to make it a success, however, his drink prices are far to high! This is not Chester city centre! I think that with lower drink prices the pub will do a lot better!

We finally got to go into The Lamb with yet more new managers and so glad we did. Very comfortable, nice atmosphere, excellent service and enjoyable food. Let's keep supporting our local...

What can I say! EVERYTHING about this place is fantastic. The food is superb, the staff are welcoming and the pub is homely. There is something for everyone here even fussy eaters. We need to support this excellent pub so we don’t loose it. Try the Sunday dinner, it is to die for and great value. Well done to Dragon and the family for making The Lamb a venue worth visiting and I hope it continues I am a regular and have supported the Lamb through good and bad times but this is the best! 😎🍷🍽👍

Friendly staff with a nice atmosphere and great food, good for a quiet drink or to meet up with friends. Recently taken over by a new couple who have had the whole pub redecorated inside and out. Sky sports is on a big screen in the bar as is a pool table. Well worth a visit.

I have dined at the Lamb 3 times in the last month. On each occasion everyone in my party has been very impressed & all left empty plates. The staff "go the extra mile" for customers and deserve to succeed. I have never witnessed so many happy customers thanking Dragon, the landlord, as they left & paid the bill.The menu offers something for everyone. All cooked from fresh in a clean dining area. Selection is a range of Mediterranean dishes in each course. The prices are very reasonable with a full menu, special offers each day that only seem to be publicised in the gents, and very cheap bar meals.The service & meals are a million miles away from previous landlords at this pub. If you cannot decide where to dine out in the Crewe & Nantwich area, try the Lamb, you will be amazed. Other bar & restaurant owners could learn a few lessons by dining here.

We went to the lamb with 2 children last Friday and it was wonderful.. the kids meals were wonderful.. fresh meatballs and a fish and chips.. we have fussy eaters and there was not a scrap left.. our meals were delicious too.. the owners are so warm and welcoming.. excited to have a good eating place back in the village ..

The Lamb is under new management and we found the staff very welcoming the food was well cooked and well presented, the menu is a mixture of English and continental and the premises are spotless. Nice to see the chef was kitted out with a hair net .

The Lamb is under new management with a new menu. The food is amazing and cooked from fresh. You get a very warm welcome. It’s a must try for everyone. We will definitely be back.

I've always loved the Lamb however it's had some poor tenants over the last 4-5 years..... HOWEVER !!! The new owners are amazing, friendly and the food was amazing !!! Will definitely be back at the weekend

We used to love it here but we’re terribly let down during our visit today!

We didn't even get the chance to sample the menu !! We booked a table for 6 people over the phone checking the landlady had contact details for us. We were informed that the pub stopped serving food at 8pm - not good but thought we'd give it a try anyway. On arrival this evening, no tables were set for food, the landlady allowed 2 of the party to purchase drinks before we were told the chef was off tonight. Courtesy would be to be contacted for our party to re- book elsewhere - just as well we didn't eat. Will we re-book ? No.

We used to love this pub, and the food has always been excellent. We went last week and I ordered chilli prawns to start (£5.95) and it came out as a few tiny frozen prawns in a bowl of strange tasting butter with two small slices of green chilli and two very toasted slices of ciabatta. Very disappointing. I also had a side order of chips that tasted as though the fat had been used for weeks. My husband had a pie that he also did not really enjoy. There was little in the way of atmosphere.

Only had a drink in the beer garden, but it is a nice place with friendly staff.

Hadn't eaten at The Lamb for over 10 years but decided to give it a go - will definitely be returning! The food was freshly cooked - the steak and ale pie was very generous and the fish & chips delicious. The pub was buzzing with customers and the staff were friendly and quick to attend to us. For good, freshly cooked pub food, it's worth a try.

We visited today for lunch as we had heard good things about the food under the new owners. We were really impressed. The lamb and mint pie and steak and ale pie are ridiculously good. I have never seen so much meat in a pie and all excellent quality. The pub seems to still be getting its custom back after being closed for a while for a refurb and having had mixed success under previous owners for the last few years. Give it a go and hopefully it will get back to being a great, local, village pub.

We went here on recommendation and were not disappointed. It is a typical traditional pub, decently decorated and well cleaned, with a friendly landlady. There is a relatively limited range of beers but everyone got what they wanted.

Four of us thought we would go and support the revamped Lamb in our village.Not a particularly warm welcome but the beer was good unfortunatly my wife's chardonnay was very poor.We had to wait quite a while for our meal not a problem as we were in no hurray.As the chardonnay was poor my wife had a merlot with her meal but this was just as poor and the waiter had poured wine on the stem and so when she had a drink it went down her top,went to the bar for a cloth and no sorry i will top her glass up and will pay for the cleaning.The food was good as was the new decor a very good job as been done.

Went on a Tuesday night for dinner to try the food now that The Lamb has had a spruce up with new managers.

Me gustaría decir cómo los propietarios son muy agradables. Nos dieron una bienvenida tan calurosa. La comida es típica de un bar, yo estaba muy contento con mi asado por el precio. Todo es relativo, y la comida que a mí y a mi familia nos sirvieron fue una estupenda relación calidad-precio. Si estás buscando restaurantes informales pub y no desean romper el banco luego en pop.

Fuimos para el almuerzo de hoy con mi familia, tuve que llamar Domingo almuerzo comí patatas fritas de pescado y la salsa. Las comidas eran caliente y sin duda volveremos pronto.

Food started again last night with The Lamb's new team and we went in for our evening meal. A fair selection of pub food with daily specials was on offer and neither the pie of the day or Cumberland sausage and mash disappointed. The team are friendly and seem keen to get the pub going and we welcome this so our local isn't lost. Hopefully this is the start of something great.

Called without booking found the pub very busy, two large groups were just starting their meals, the land lady advised us we would have to wait for about forty mins. We found this acceptable were taken to a table and drinks were ordered, from ordering food to being served only took about twenty mins. The food was of good quality the drinks are reasonably priced and all the staff are very welcoming .

I live in Willaston and this is in walking distance from me. Pub has a small (ish) restaurant and the food is very good. Wine selection is good also. The only thing that lets it down a bit is the bar....felt a bit like a ghost town but we were in there on a Thursday night.

We have a really nice walking route that we like to do if the weather is kind and The Lamb is about half way. We have only been in for a drink, however we have always found the service really good. Genuine and friendly, what more could you ask for. We must stop to eat sometime soon, the food looks good and the reviews appear to highly recommend.

We went to the Lamb for lunch today, Sunday 16.10.16, and it was excellent value. Both my wife and I had the roasts offered, pork for her and beef for me, with all the trimmings, and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The portions were large, and we did not have room for puddings!The service was very good, prompt and cheerful, and we immediately got anything we asked for. The food was not expensive, and as we live in Willaston, it is a lovely lunch alternative.It is a shame that there were not more customers eating in - people do not know what they are missing!, and we run the danger of "use it or lose it"!We will definitely be back - thank you very much, Pauline and Ellie, and all the staff!

Delicious Sunday lunch. We had the mushroom starter and the beef Sunday roast, daughter had pizza homemade dough also delicious!! Very impressed! Will return.

Beer only this time but looking at the reviews we are heading back for food in the next few weeks I'd say the pub need but well stocking a few more real beers inside the pubs clean and tidy warm welcome from staff and landlady

Very enjoyable and walking distance! From home. Very friendly lively staff. We have been regularly and never been unhappy with the food or service.

We visited here on the 06/09/16 for my dads birthday. There was six of us. The service was a bit slow however I hope that was because the food was freshly cooked. The food was good without any complaints apart from the serving of the food which was not very consistent. The drinks however we feel were overpriced which would make us think twice about ordering more drinks and staying for longer. eg a glass of prosecco £5.95. I would expect to pay at the most £5 in a pub. Tuesday night was very quiet and there wasn't any special offers on. Apparently there was an Italian night on a Tuesday but they withdrew it.

Impromptu dinner at the Lamb.Never dined here before, but been in for drinks with friends in past. Comfortable suburban Punch Tavern with welcoming feel to the place. The food offer was very good & a good selection of drinks. Beer on tap was excellent from Boddingtons to Sharps Doom Bar. The service was exceptional. Definitely worth a shot.

Called in Sunday afternoon to try the Sunday Roast, very nice, choice of Beef or Lamb I had Beef and my lady had the Lamb,we were not disappointed food was plentiful and service quick and polite, We were both very satisfied with the meals presented and enjoyed good wholesome food, We shall defiantly be calling again 1st class.

Never been before visited today 10th may at 12.30 food was amazing staff very friendly the young girl behind the bar someone called her aimz (I'm not sure of her name) couldn't do enough!!! Highly will be recommending to family and friends and will be going back!! Thanks again couldn't even eat a dessert as food was so nice didn't have enough room! Thanks to the chef also great team work between the two of u! Xx

Well that's another great meal we've had at the lamb tonight, it's a proper home cooked feel to the food. In glad that it doesn't class as being in Nantwich on tripadvisor because it's a real hidden gem and nice that it's a secret for all the locals of Willaston

Fab food, fab service. Great choice and all at an affordable price. With both an evening, lunch bites and kids menu, it has something for everyone.They do special weekly nights, a curry night and steak night as an example.Will definitely visit again

We have visited several times and on all occasions we have experienced friendly and prompt service, the food is well cooked and plentiful, drinks are also very reasonably priced.

Have been here twice in the last few weeks. Sunday lunch and Thursday steak night. Food has been really good on both occasions. We particularly liked the steak night. Good quality steak and a substantial meal. Very nice desserts as well - the ginger pudding is delicious. The pub has a very welcoming and homely atmosphere much different to a lot of the big chains and a lot better for it. A really good asset to Willaston and everything a local pub should be. The staff were excellent as was the service on both occasions. This is a real gem and we look forward to visiting again when we are in the area.

I live in the village and hadn't really been back in the lamb for food since Loraine left.Have to say we went in last night (Thursday) which is steak night 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £24 ( £12 each) the meal was fab and will be back again .... And again Thanks

My husband and I visited the Lamb Thursday evening. The offer of 2 sirloin steaks and a bottle of wine for £25 was on. We were in 2 minds whether to have this, but we decided to have our meal from the main menu. Starter was a very tasty black pudding fritter in sauce. I had lamb shoulder for my main and my husband had gammon, egg and chips. Neither of us were at all disappointed with our meals. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We did see another couple have the steak meal so next time we visit on a Thursday we'll be trying that, it looked delicious! Unfortunately we were too full for dessert!

Our 1st visit as new locals, we were not disappointed. The food was lovely, the service even better! Polite and friendly staff, and the football was on, which made the hubby happy. The food is a tiny bit on the pricey side, but it was worth it to be honest, because it was lovely. My wine was cheap though, so overall, I was very happy. We may even become regulars x

What can I say? Friday nights are not usually the best time to go in, can be a bit rowdy in the bar area. But not tonight, management have addressed a few issues and it was very pleasant. Had a lovely evening and my relatively elderly parents were relaxed. Me and my daughter enjoyed a lovely meal. If you want a recommendation choose the chicken! Lucy and the team are doing a fantastic job and I wholeheartedly urge you to give the pub a try. X

Ok it isn't the cheapest menu in town but by gosh it tastes amazing! The chef here deserves a Michelin star the mouthwatering dishes are never ending, so far I have been five times since my first visit!!! Love love love

Went to the lamb over xmas for a meal with friends after reading the reviews , the food did not disappoint as it was nice and the staff were friendly . My only problem was we decided to have a game of pool in the bar area , when we entered the room , it was quite busy but to my disappointment the majority of them were teenagers , we waited for a while to see if the kids were there till a certain time but when speaking to a regular they stated they were there most fridays , well safe to say we left as it felt pretty uncomfortable , i enjoyed the lamb untill this part , im a grown man and dont want to feel like im in a youth club in something that is suppose to be an adult environment.

We came for the New Years Eve 3 course set menu dinner, and it was excellent. It was like four courses really, because we were given a glass of prosecco on arrival, with some very tasty canapés.The meal was first class, and very good value for money - roast tomato and mascarpone soup and smoked salmon for starters, pan seared duck breast and oven roasted salmon Puttanesca for mains, and lemon posset for sweets. Wow!!The staff were cheerful and efficient, as we have come to expect at the Lamb, and the service was slick.Thank you very much Lucy and the team!

Visited with family. Sat in conservatory away from main pub but wasn't forgotten. Staff made regular checks that we were ok and had enough drinks. A great selection of beers. Food was superb. A little light on atmosphere but sure that will come once people get to know how good this place is.

I've eaten here with friends several times since it reopened and have been impressed on each visit. The food is getting better and better each time I go and they are obviously trying very hard. I particularly like the pizzas but everything else I have had has been very good too.The only improvement would be to have one or two more draught bitters.

Our first visit here was shortly after the new owners and it was very good, our second visit on Friday was absolutely excellent! The atmousphere and service was good and the food was exquisite. Went to the Lamb on Saturday for lunch as was looking for some good pub food (pies exactly). Found The Lamb on TA and decided to give it a go as it had just reopened a couple of months ago after a refurb; turns out to be a great decision!Lovely pub, generous servings, good quality food and value for money. My cheese and onion pie was simply the best I have ever had and the chips were excellent! Everything looked and tasted homemade and we enjoyed it so much, we have already decided to come back next time we are in the area! The waitress and the manager were very nice too.

Ate here on Sunday evening, I chose the Roast Beef and my partner had the Chicken Kiev, both were excellent, good sized portions, very tasty and great value for money, in the fact the roast dinner was one of the best I've tasted for a long time. Will definitely recommend to friends & family.

I don't really know what to say about The Lamb other than the food was stunning. Beautifully prepared and presented, every member of our party enjoyed every aspect of the meal. I'm so happy our local pub has re-opened and serves really good food! It's the first time in a long time that I've ordered a steak that has come as I requested it. My boyfriend had the pie which was great, and we both had a pudding. The prices are really good, and you get a massive plate full! The large wine I ordered really was large for a change! Going back again very soon

The Lamb reopened 3 weeks ago, after a refurbishment lasting c. 1 year. We have just moved to Willaston, and we stopped off at the Lamb today, for a drink, to give it a try. We liked what was saw and decided to stay for lunch, which was excellent. It was a smallish pub menu, with no great surprises, but the food was fresh, hot and tasty. My wife said that her sweet was the best chocolate brownie she had ever had!Clare, behind the bar, was warm and welcoming, and we enjoyed the lunch greatly - we will be back!The pub doesn't look much from the outside but they have renovated the interior - we did not know the "old" pub - keeping some of the traditional features and it's very nice with different eating areas including a conservatory.

Went for curry night and found it was very good value for money, good choices of food and drink but for some reason onion bhajis were crossed out on the menu. Considering it was a curry night it's not very good. There was also only one waitress serving but it was quite busy and she also mixed our order up. Having said all this I would probably go again but they do need to improve.
